Every day, 5+ times a day.. If i visited more i'd be addicted.. I should comment more, but i go in and out of the desire to.

It's really hard to be moral and try to get stars via comments. Jokes are the easiest way, but the most enjoyable ones are meaningful. But what with the current climate and the fact that this is predominately an american website means that any word or phrase that someone even THINKS might be anti-american gets downvoted faster than a snuff video.

I don't even remember sifting 3 videos, i thought i'd only done one.

Yeah I said the same some 5 months ago. Now look at me.

Seriously, it would be very neat if you really got gold with more star comments than videos, I don't think anyone's done it before. Your bronze may even be precedent. This just shows you're a great addition to the community. I'm just nagging on you about the number of videos posted because submitting them compels one to spend more time here. And I'd like you to do just that

I sift what i think is siftworthy! I don't believe in posting music videos just to get stars *cough cough*

And thanks!

In reply to this comment by EDD:
I see you got your first star - way to go. keep it up! Only be honest with me, now - are you really aiming to get your gold with more comment stars than videos sifted?

excellent use/timing of anthropic principle

I love (hate) how he skips over the whole "abiogenesis" thing, then explains about some lightning but doesn't say where the lightning comes from, etc. etc...

Do you want some more abiogenesis talk? One point that I would have brought up is how unlikely it seems that the first self-replicating life would just fall into place one day. If you get a bunch of chemicals together, it probably won't create life. But if you get an entire planet with chemical oceans for over a billion years, then it starts to get more likely that life would happen.

But then you have to remember the anthropic principle! We're going to find ourselves on whatever planet that life happens to occur on. We guess that there are about 10^20 planets in our universe, and the universe is about 13.7 billion years old. So even if life falling into place at any time on a whole planet has a probability of 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000,000, we can expect it to happen at least once. And here we are.

When I take that into account, life seems pretty probable to me. You could make up a god to explain it, but I don't see the need.

Because one's a video of someone doing their job, and the other is a video of someone breaking the law they're supposed to keep, assaulting someone, using their unique position to their advantage (which is perhaps the most heinous crime possible.. it adequately describes government genocide policies)..

You're right, i know what you're saying, but on the other hand - you don't get commended for doing your job.. you get commended for doing extremely well (and there are videos of that around), or you get slaughtered for doing extremely bad (and there are lots of those).. one outweighs the other and perhaps there's a reason for it.

I get your point though. Hope you get mine.

Yes, it is infuriating.
1) How could that moron cop not realize SOMEONE would get him on tape?
2) The entire internets always assumes that because they see a video of a bad cop, the rest of them are just as bad and corrupt.
That's not the case. You only see bad cop videos because Mr. Polite officer doing his job properly just isn't interesting.
3) This asshole just makes it harder for everyone else to do their job.

Ahh that's the badger, the film name was what i was after, i should have looked at the clip. I'll give that a watch, i really like spooky video of video myself. The one in Ring is a good example methinks.

In reply to this comment by schmawy:
What what? I was just saying that I love the look of Tv screens being taped, Y'know, video of video, film of a CRT? Did you watch the Prince of Darkness clip? If you haven't seen the movie, it's a really good scary 80's horror flick. All the characters have the same dream, and that's what's shown as the dream, in the YT clip below.
