Slow-Mo Duck Running On Water.
So I am suppose to take their word for it, that there isn't a hard surface an inch below that water? They don't even zoom out, and some floaties make it look shallow.
Thank you for supporting VideoSift (Sift Talk Post)

Thanks to @MrFisk for becoming Chartered again with a year subscription.
The phones are still ringing people, we'll now return to Villa Alegre, followed by ZOOM and the MacNeil Leher News Hour.
How the 16 gigapixel Machu Pichu panorama was made
I was thinking, a 70-300mm push-pull zoom lens eh? How quaint... Then he pans over to reveal an 800mm and I was like, oh...
Irreversible: Rape scene (disturbing)
if you didn't see irreversible at an actual cinema, on a big screen, you mostly wasted your time.
the whole movie is shot in a sickening, nauseating way, with the camera twisting and turning all the time... punctured by extreme acts of violence. on the big screen, it is actually physically overwhelming.
the movie is told backwards, which makes the ending all the more hideous.
the closing shot of the film is a slow zoom out from a rotating sprinkler, as the happy couple lounges about in the summer sun... the camera starts rotating with the sprinkler as a strobe effect gets more and more intense. seeing it on the big screen, it was repulsive -- i nearly barfed.
i think this movie is incredible (and utterly depressing), but people's reactions to it really worry me. a powerful message is completely lost on these idiots.
Worst Product Placement in TV
Wow. Is blatant the right word?
I laughed when they zoomed in close for the kickstand.
This belongs on *wtf channel
Ruby Rhod's Evening Show - The Fifth Element
Thanks for the photo of the inside of your house...
Zoom, enhance, turn right, zoom and enhance, turn one more corner, enhance..., Oh god what do you use that room for for? Next time dispose of the evidence before distributing these kinds of photos...
I took a photo. Sorry for the poor quality and reflections. There's a PS3 controller near the bottom for size reference.

Worst F1 driver gets hit by the medical car (Hungary 1995)
It's hard to tell from the zoom distortion and the flat angle, but I think that medical car was going at quite a clip. Both the driver and one of the track officials were surprised to see it drive up on them so fast. That second guy was just a second behind and he ended up walking into the side of the safety car. They also wouldn't have heard it coming since the f1's are so loud.
Kim Jong Il Makes Your Dreams Come True
@mintbbb No no! Watch the videos FFS, before you call dupeof on your own stuff! They're different, some different shots, this one is much more edited (swastika at the beginning, zoom-in on yawning face etc.) And the other one was doing so well, too!
2 more comments have been lost in the ether at this killed duplicate.
Full Moon Silhouettes - NZ must be really close to the moon!
Step back a few hundred yards, zoom into subject under moon with your telephoto lens. Boom! Instant big moon!
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Opening Cinematic
Maybe it's in the "uncanny valley" of CGI trailers where it almost COULD be gameplay, thus it's more frustrating. The WoW trailers are so completely unrelated from the actual gameplay that it doesn't even make me think of the gameplay.
I'd like to think that some more dramatic scale variations are possible with mousewheel zoom. Heck, even if visual scale doesn't change so much, economic and gameplay scale COULD. What if a battlecruiser took 3000 minerals, 1500 gas, 30 pop, and had a corresponding level of ass kicking?
Penn & Teller - Needle Trick
No I dont? The big screen camera on the back was actually zoomed in on him when he was eating the apple.
Also its a live audience and the cuts didn't seem to keep me from keeping track of the points I wanted to see.
You mean you don't think he threw them away with the apple? Seems like crappy editing to have so many distracting changes of camera angle at that point if they weren't trying to manipulate our attention.
Regaurding Mobile access to VideoSift (Sift Talk Post)
There is no way to get to the lounge. speaking of the lounge, there is too much space between the main chat window and the chat input box. Via iPhone 4S. I miss lounging and reading comments(only one page of comments, wtf?) on my lunch break.
Edit: you can not pinch and zoom.
Hot interviewer wants his package:
"Clearly you've brought the package." *camera zooms out*
VideoSift 5.0 bugs go here. (Sift Talk Post)
i just tried zooming in chrome, the shit is whack.
VideoSift 5.0 bugs go here. (Sift Talk Post)
These are not bugs, but something I'd like to see tweaked:
In the 'Top Videos Library', 'Top Videos from the Last 24 Hours' now shows videos within 24 hours of them being submitted. This used to be 24 hours from when they sifted/were published. Could we go back to that, or maybe add option to choose Last 48 hours. This list is now awfully short, and most videos disappear from it real fast.
My 'sifted videos' used to be sorted: the newest to sift went on top. Now, they are sorted in the order I originally submitted them. I usually like to know which video just got sifted. Now I have to scroll down my videos and try to figure out which one is the newest.
Also: now when a video is killed, you can't read the comments any more. Lots of videos have interesting/fun comments, then they turned out to be dupes. But you were able to go back to the dupe and read the comments. I miss that
Also I cannot pinch/zoom/resize VS from my mobile devices. The site is doable on a tablet, but with a cell phone, it would be nice to be able to resize it and make the whole thing smaller.
Thanks, and sorry if these have been posted/addressed already!
