Run zig zags, crocs and their cousins are actually quite speedy in a straight line, but they have difficulty turning.

My neighbor's cat was sitting in the street at night under a streetlight and I watched a skunk zig-zagging up the road towards him. The cat just sat there watching and as the skunk got closer I figured this was not going to end well. The suspense was killing me and then the skunk finally waddled up, touched noses with the cat and went on its way. The End. Sleep well.

The zig-zags are there as its a crossing area and no cars are allowed to park on them. at all. ever.

And as for cats and dogs, there are announcements on all local radio stations reminding people to keep pets indoors. Its been going for ages, the locals know what to do Island population doubles for a week.

Incredibly, I saw road lines just like this (sometimes worse) in Hawaii last week! We decided the painter was drunk AND fighting with the paint truck driver, sometimes the lines just went zig-zag-scribble, sometimes it looked like the bucket was just tossed into the street, sometimes the lines led right off the road, or into the other lane, it was INSANE! (and hilarious)

I want someone to create Grand Theft Auto: Zombie Apocalypse.

I would TOTALLY buy that. A true mission-based, open-world, zombie war.

Dead Island was more like zig-zag across the level, switch-hunting.

My brother-in-law had his own Suzuki Motorcycle dealership. He was importing bikes that came in these awesome red mahogany crates. He was kinda disgusted that it was assumed they would throw away or burn the crates. So, he made my sister a dinning room table out of the planks. Fully expandable top with a herring-bone design and zig-zag shaped inserts.

This was back when full-size VHS was the norm for video cameras, so there's no video of the build. He's kinda focused when he does that sorta thing, so there's only completed photos, no during stuff.

Wow that really reminded me of space invaders. The zig-zag walking and even the sounds.

I take my family up to Big Bear CA in the summer months at least once a year. There is an alpine sled that comes down a ski slope there. It's probably only about 200-300 yards long and it simply zip-zags down the hillside.....that's what I was imagining in my mind before I watched the video. HOLY MACKEREL!!! This thing is awesome. My little daughters love that alpine sled in Big Bear, but this coaster is a another beast entirely. It looks like so much fun; however, I don't think there is any chance at all that I would go down that thing without applying the breaks.
