I have yet to 'mark innappropriate'... What comes to mind as 'innapropriate' are things like "F*CK THIS VIDEO! ZIFNAB IS A BITCH!! VIDEOSIFT SUCKS A NUT!!" ... but there's not that many of those type comments on the fairly civil sift (and I'd probably be tempted to just mark that as 'spam' and help usher that person out the door).

The point of all of this was that they wanted and expected everyone to die. The rapture was sure to come along with the second coming of Christ. So they were hoping that Y2K was going to usher along their ascension to heaven, meanwhile they would revel in the deaths and eternal damnation of billions of people. Very loving of all of those Christians to want such a fate for all of those sinners.

But wait! If the rapture is coming in only a few months, then what the fuck are you doing peddling your shit to people. Shouldn't you just give it out, since money is going to be completely worthless when Christ returns? I have to say that up until seasons 9-10, I was a huge fan of the Simpsons. It was my favorite show (along with Mystery Science Theater 3000). Sadly, the quality of writing and animation greatly declined in what has become arguably the greatest disappointment of my life. I was not looking forward to watching the movie but went anyway. The first 15 minutes were quite funny, and I thought that maybe this would usher in a new era of greatness for the series, but my hopes were dashed shortly thereafter. The rest of the movie was like the last 9 seasons, unfunny and trite writing with a chuckle here or there. Although I am not a fan of Fox or Rupert Murdoch, I don't believe they have anything to do with the quality of the show (in fact, they are responsible for producing some of the greatest shows ever) so they are off the hook on this. I just want to validate some of the opinions expressed by GuyIncognito (although I disagree with others of his). We don't dislike the Simpsons because doing so is hip or non-conformist, we dislike that a hilarious and touching program of great nostalgic value has been reduced to a sham of its former self. It's like watching a good friend or loved one die of a slow and debilitating disease, and it's hurtful.

But this song just sounds like $dollar signs$ to me... a repetitive, standard (inst-intro, verse1, chorus1, bridge into chorus2, verse2, chorus2, bridge back to chorus1, alternate-chorus, chorus1, outro) progression track with distortion on the vocals and guitar, and lyrics about being a rock star and how old people are tools (and he is not).

I guess I'm still upset that The Fragile never ushered in a golden age of heady, anti-pop rock like it was supposed to. Does this not sound like a distorted Blur track from, like, 1994?
