I really can't fathom being upset about the King Tut bit. While there are still Egyptians certainly, they don't remotely resemble the culture during Tut's time. Who exactly could there possibly be alive today who would feel at all upset or belittled by that act? Mind-boggling.

Admittedly, it was much funnier when I was 8 and the highly commercialised Tut exhibit was touring the U.S., but it still makes me chuckle.

There is that tutting again, in a modern dance context. The second couple -- I don't know what was going on, but they sure did.

Have you had that experience ever? Of watching something that you don't really understand, but the artists do, down to their bones, and so they are mesmerizing?

Contrasted with artists who are deliberately obscure because I am a mere plebe and can't understand -- or whatever the motivation or execution. My inability to understand sometimes gets me mad at the artist.

I find it an interesting difference.

Finally figured out what to google to find my answer.

So that guy is doing Lyrical Tutting. That would be hard to synchronize with a partner -- and quite beautiful.

What a class act. One of the funniest people on the planet. Grew up loving King Tut. Played it until the 8 track about wore out.

Every who says she danced at better at 'Day 136' obviously has no formal dance experience (which is not a 'diss' or anything) or knowledge of body isolation. She has learned to control much more of her body by 'Day 365'. Day 165 is a simple hand tutting routine that any average person can learn in a day (plus the waist groove-pointing thing). Day 365 she has constant body movement, and better facial expressions (which most beginner dancers are extremely scared to do since they are nervous that people are judging).

If it had been a Democrats party conference instead of Republican then the mainstream media would've been all over it and you can guarantee that any immaturity or sensationalism would have been ten-fold over what you see here. At least TYT is cool with LGBT whereas mainstream media would be tutting and frowning at every opportunity.


I doubt that. As an outsider, US news seems as polarized as US politics seems so I would assume that Fox would laugh at the DNC and NBC would laugh at the RNC. However, that aside, this is simply a better story. Liberal, pro-gay rights party has gay people? So? Conservative, pro-bigot rights party has gay people? Scandal!

Which is missing the point. That it would be worse if it was them, even if this was true, doesn't make this any less smug.
