Poker Dealer Makes Huge Mistake

Dealer is not responsible for the player not capping their cards-She foiked-up.
I disagree. Capping cards is not a requirement, and several other players haven't capped (especially the low-blind position who is to the left of the guy eating something) when you look @ the 8-10 second mark. Generally speaking, your cards need to be shoved further away than where she had them.
The reach required for the dealer to pick up the cards should have been enough to signal that she wanted to keep the hand. He should have at least checked, seeing as how this is a major tournament.
Robert's Rules of Poker (the rule book for every poker event in history) reads
II. You must protect your own hand at all times. Your cards may be protected with your hands, a chip, or other object placed on top of them. If you fail to protect your hand, you will have no redress if it becomes fouled or the dealer accidentally kills it. http://www.texasholdem-poker.com/roberts_rules_of_poker/irregularities

I've seen people lose their hands for leaving their cards too far out before. The rule is that you have to keep your cards behind your chip stack, which they were. She was all in, so her chip stack was farther out than usual, but her cards were sitting a little far out there. The best place to keep them up against the rail of the table.
I was in a charity tournament once and a dealer screwed me. I was sitting in the same seat she was, to the right of the dealer too. On the flop I made a bet, the guy sitting to the left raised, and everyone else folded. When he raised, he announced raise and stuck a stack of chips in. On the next card I was going to bet enough to put him all in anyway because he didn't have much left and I had a good hand. The dealer thought the other guy went all in. I guess he thought that because the guy put the stack of chips out and his arm was blocking the few chips he had left, but the guy said raise, not all in. So the dealer dealt the turn and river. When the dealer realized the other guy wasn't all in, the guy said he was going all in anyway, and I called. We both turned our cards over, I had the winning hand, but the dealer took back the turn and river cards and dealt two more which then gave the other guy the winning hand. Everybody at the table was like WTF dealer. We both went all in based on what was on the table, then he re-deals. Technically he could have re-dealt the river card since we didn't get a chance to bet before it, but the turn card was good.

TYT: Prom Spending Out Of Control
Parents today seem to be using their children's youth as something to cherish and worship because after they leave high school, their lives are effectively over. Even through college you work hard to get an education you most likely won't use. You get a job, you'll have for awhile then you'll be fired. Or worse you won't get hired and you'll live with your parents for a GOOD long time (some till their 30 or something).
Again pointing out how I'm a soccer referee. Youth games and tournaments and high school is the worst. Parents yell and scream like you're taking their children's lives from them. They threaten and argue and yell at coaches and refs about their little Billy or Lilly and how they're perfect and we're awful people for ruining their games. It's becoming unbearable.

Is that considered rude? I thought the point of the game was to win?
People get upset about "cheese" because it's much easier to do than playing a long-term game and tends to rely more on chance than skill.
On the other hand, people tend to lose to cheese because they're either opening with a greedy build (lots of workers and very little defense), they're not scouting what their opponent is doing, or they don't choose an appropriate response to the cheesy strat.
Pros cheese in tournaments all the time. If you lose to cheese then there's no one to blame but yourself.
After six hours Djokovic and Nadal nearly collapse
Can't believe those chairs weren't there at the beginning but glad some Tournament guy wised up and bought on some chairs. Really, lying down and getting hydrated again is not a bad idea. None of us can appreciate how hard that was for them physically.
It's a little funny to see them enduring that extra torture though...
LoL: Blitzcrank failgrab
Play a bit of LoL casually sometimes, or at least enough to know what the champions do. Prefer HoN/DotA2 tho . I wonder if Amumu did that deliberately. No need for bandage toss when Blitz does it for you .
If you missed this: http://www.dota2.com/tournaments/international/game/29/?p=0&v=1 you should give it a look. All the games are good, Chen makes some amazing saves and just general great play.

If, like me, you are wondering, "What the fuck is conkers?"...
http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-win-at-conkers
Really? Hehehe, I thought it was a universal thing. Btw, we used to always play this in school every autumn, it was serious business! Then health and fucking safety reared it's head, goodbye conker tournaments. Pfffffffft
2011 Blizzcon Starcraft II Grand Final
I could see where this might be true. Both players play very cautiously like a dentist prodding teeth for cavities. But, that may be because of the amount of money on the line. Definitely not the best game I have seen but still immensely entertaining. I actually watched this twice all the way through.

The game was a huge let down, very sloppy play by Nestea. He seemed content to just sit back with maxed supply, barely putting any pressure on MVP. Nestea just sat there, mining out the right half of the map even though he had +10K minerals - all that wasted drone supply could've gone towards a larger army. When he finally decides to move out with his 100+ baneling army, after much indecision, does he drop MVP's mining expansions? - No. Does he drop MVP's production facilities? - No. Does he try to take out MVP's army? No - he does a terribly executed drop in MVP's mined out main, accomplishing NOTHING. And in the end, Nestea decides to make a max army of unsupported broodlords even though he KNOWS that MVP has ghosts and vikings.
This had all the features of a showmatch between two good friends and teammates, which has many people in the community suggesting that the game was fixed. Pretty much the worst game of Blizzcon, and one of the worst tournament finales I've ever seen.

I'm starting to feel like Yahtzee is a bad reviewer of games.
Yahtzee is as much a games reviewer as the waynes brothers were movie critics in Living Color. They focused less on details (unless it was called for) and made funny comparisons instead.
And as an avid long time gamer, I DO miss the old days! I am itching to get into the new Tribes 4 game, and would love to see a new Unreal Tournament! Halflife 2 part 3 on the other hand, maybe if valve picked up one of the new cutting edge engines then yes, please. But the source engine is really dated for a standered shooter. I only accepted it in portal because portal wasn't a shooter.

I think it'll have a hard time competing with League of LEgends.
I'm not so sure. Consider that Heroes of Newerth had to compete against a somewhat smaller LoL and the original DotA, which may as well be free given the ease of which you can acquire WC3 and play online without payin a dime. S2 seemed to do ok, although clearly their sales were drying up, given they introduced the f2p model.
Dota2 has the name and the original creator of the WC3 map behind it, thats going to be enough for a lot of Dota fans. Its also made by a very well respected developer and will be distributed over Steam. I imagine most HoN players are going to switch over since HoN is essentially a clone. Most people that played DotA don't play LoL and most who play LoL never played Dota, so I don't think there is really a direct competition there. They are just two games of the same genre...like Halo and CoD.
While LoL might be free, its still makin them money somehow. They are giving it away with the expecation that on average each player pays about what they would have charged upfront. Ok, you can spend as little or as much as you want (much being almost $500 I believe), but if you want to play the game competitively then you do actually need to pull out your wallet. I know most people don't care about that, but there is a 1million dollar tournament for Dota2...its clear they want to sell this to people who want to play it at least at a amatuerish level.
So yeah. tl;dr: It'll do fine.
