If Meat Eaters Acted Like Vegans

transmorpher says...

Vegan food, is a chopped up vegans by the sounds of it? At least you know for sure they are grain fed. Then again some might be coke and oreo fed. So best check with your local reptilian overlord reseller.

Yes vegan food can be some awful processed stuff: http://www.peta.org/living/food/accidentally-vegan/

The cool thing about a plant based diet (apart from getting to eat a lot of hearty foods) is that even if you're doing completely for yourself, the animals and planet benefit just as much. It's a win for everyone, even if you hate animals lol.

But you are spot on about the taste buds - once your taste buds re-tune you get to go on an adventure of flavors beyond salt and ketchup

I'm not quite sure what is"vegan food" but from experience if you give yourself two to three weeks to adjust to a plant based diet you will do yourself a world of good and salads taste amazing after you make the adjustment.

Personally i base my eating habits on my personal health and thus believe a plant based diet is the best way to go (as personal experience has shown me)

However i eat meat these days cuz its what's prepared around the house. However im in poorer health since (cholesterol shot through the roof and i gained back a ton of weight i had lost) ive went from plant based to animal products and more processed foods.

For me diet is all about my health. A friend said the vegans he knows have the worst most unhealthy diets hes ever seen.

I guess being vegan is all about "animal cruelty". I had been under the delusion it was about ones personal health.

A-Where did you speak about abuse?! I told a story of abuse (My mother in law being forced to have sex with animals, beaten burned, raped, etc.) And your direct answer (to her reliance on the church DUE TO THAT ABUSE) was "c) get through it with the help of family and friends like literally millions of others have done. " Ie., her abuse CAN be gotten over in your expert opinon. I say fuck that. It cannot be gotten over more so than a physical injury like brain damage, since it started so young and destroyed her thought process in life. In a way she is a socialized feral child (In a way, but I know there are huge differences.) People like me and Newt, thankfully, didn't fully get brain-fucked and so can work on social issues.

(Irrelevant topic; did you know abuse can cause schizophrenia without genetic factors? Amazing... (Carlson 2011).)

B-It is not unreasonable when you get into a public conversation on a topic that you comment directly on.

C-Yes, tell rape victims you know their plight, I am sure they will acknowledge your lack of knowing...I mean I can understand Doctors with years and years of study. Or here is a better analogy. Pat a black man on the shoulder who's child has been shot by a racist cop and say, "I know the feeling bud."

D-If you have to explain why what you said was different than those examples, it wasn't different enough.

What are you talking about? I said NOTHING about abuse.

I was talking about people leaving a church, and yeah, that is something that I have experience of.

Besides, one doesn't have to have personal experience of something to comment on it. In fact, it's often helpful to be able to address an issue without the emotional baggage. There's a reason we don't allow crime victims to set the sentence of criminals, for example.

It is utterly unreasonable to ask people about their private lives in a public discussion. If they choose to volunteer that information, fine, but it's not a prerequisite to participate in a discussion.

If you look really closely, you can see her hand on the can/cooler for a frame at :33, the label is barely 1/2 towards the camera. At :36 you can see her rotate it slightly so it's readable (still not 100% towards the camera, but readable) and remove her hand from the can carefully. It sure looked intentional to me, but not for certain.
All that said, the "fuck" at :28 makes me second guess that assumption, but the speed at which all the guys, without explanation what happened, are already in the lake searching for the ring seemed to say they were in on it from the start. In less than 13 seconds there are 7 guys already in the lake 'searching'. I feel like it's a badly planned 'viral' attempt...if so, terribly planned, as it seems to say 'drink bud light and you too can do some really stupid shit!'.

I have to respectfully disagree. The way her hand moves and putting down the can I think has more to do with being on a floating device that is moving. Her hand completely looks like someone trying to keep balance while getting up on a moving platform. If you notice she never completely stands up as she keeps her hand on the cooler for balance. Also if its a Budweiser viral they picked a product i personally couldn't easily identify as Budweiser. Didn't notice the can or what it was until you mentioned it. Of all their products they picked, they picked the most difficult one to recognize. Also very few will notice the product when you put it in frame with a women dressed like that. Just my opinion

thanks for the props bud.
just so you know i am vehemently anti-religious but i am not against religious people.
which was the point i was trying to make with bid.
that while the institutions dogma and doctrine can be debated and discussed and in some peoples case...reviled.
it is the people of that community that are our neighbors, friends and family and in my opinion can be such a vital component in raising well balanced children into productive adults.

fundamentalism (of any kind) is the enemy but most church goers are not fundamentalists.they are regular people.
so i found bids commentary very much on the arrogant side to so broadly group an entire population of people into his extremely narrow view.
he was presumptuous and with only a rudimentary knowledge of religious history.
i tried to point out that his premise was extremely flawed and that winston would take him to task for his hubris and thats exactly what winston did...and bid totally did not get it because i dont think bid WANTS to get it.

i teach cultural religious history and am well versed in many religions but am not a religious person myself.
my faith has no need of dogma nor doctrine...they are irrelevant.
my faith is also my own and not something i seek to perpetrate on another.
again...irrelevant to do so.
religions on the other hand HAVE to keep themselves relevant and viable in order for continued existence.
and is the main cause of my disdain for such institutions.
in order for them to remain relevant they HAVE to...by design..suppress the very people keeping that institution viable.
THIS is where..i believe..bid was trying to address and i would agree on that point but to so easily and callously dismiss the people who go to church as all being idiots is just myopic and self-defeating.
and shows a total lack of imagination.

ah well.
the thread got derailed and i fear i may have contributed to it.
and nothing got accomplished in the end.
damn internets!
again.thanks for the props bud.
until next time.
namaste.
