Nah, I just changed to sweat pants. Now if only I could get the mustache to stop tickling me..

It would never have occurred to me that a scar could be achieved in that manner. Yet, gwiz, first thing on your mind? Surely it is experience talking. The pain, the suffering, of moving through each day with your shame emblazoned across your forehead! "I forgot to remove his pants first. How could I have forgotten????"
It's okay, sweetie. We understand. We love you anyway.
>> ^gwiz665:
I'm not the one with a scar on my forehead. Hyuk hyuk.
>> ^bareboards2:
I think you are doing it wrong, gwiz. It helps to move the pants.
>> ^gwiz665:
Yeah, you gotta watch out for belt buckles.
>> ^bareboards2:
You can call me Harriet. Like my forehead scar?
>> ^gwiz665:
Do not mention He Who Shall Not Be Named.

Police State: Arrested For Dancing in the Jefferson Memorial
I was saying that the police officers behaved badly. You know that, right?
I wasn't "scrutinizing" -- I asked a simple question. What happened?
We have been here before, mr blank. We approach the world differently. I want all the facts. I want the whole story. I am not interested in propaganda, no matter what the source. I try to be intellectually honest in all my dealings, even if it is uncomfortable for me personally.
And I just don't dehumanize these public safety officers (who risk their lives daily) so utterly as to think that they will behave perfectly in all situations.
Something happened, don't you think? Why did the park cops go talk to them in the first place? Something happened and we don't know what it is.
I have no idea of how it started. It ended badly. I think it is likely that this will be used in training vids in the future, of how not to react when you, as a public safety officer, feel ... what? Disrespected? Disrespected is not a reason to arrest someone.
We're all on a learning curve. I believe cheap accessible video cameras are going to be the most democraticizing force in the world. With those cameras will come some costs that we aren't going to like, but there are some great benefits. Keeping cops honest is number one on the list.
And I think we all agree, being a smart ass is not a reason to arrest someone. Good thing, huh, blankie? (that was meant as a gentle joke, sweetie.)

I'm always curious why we scrutinize those engaging in nonviolent civil disobedience, no matter how benign and disinteresting, when it's the laws that are the problem not the protest itself.
I'm not enjoying the trolling on the Sift. (Horrorshow Talk Post)

See, you ole sweetie! You like women!
I love this play. Eve Ensler did a great thing when she wrote this.
[edit] Thanks so much for posting this here -- maybe some guys will watch it who wouldn't normally.

I know it's a joke, sweetie. I just said so. I was answering a question.
I'm too weary of this whole thing and uninterested in defending myself extensively. I picked the easiest thing as an example.
I know who blankie is. Blankie knows that I know who Blank is. (@blankfist also knows I am confused by him, but that is because my sweet trusting nature just can't... quite... understand the need to troll. But that is another story.)
>> ^Lann:
It's a joke.
Also, someone taking @blankfist seriously? That in itself would REALLY be a joke!
RELAX, enjoy a 9-minute long ass shaking contest

Don't delete it! lol

Oh my gosh, I keep meaning to delete this video!!
It's just something I found accidentally and it tickled my funnybone at the time -- but obviously NO ONE else's -- so I should just get rid of it!
It's just a bunch of silly people dressed as police literally cooking up a batch of fudge. Really.
And something about watching "Bringing Down the House". I think the joke is just that they're NOT doing anything dirty. Just fake cops. Making actual fudge. That's it.
If this is offensive in title alone, I should just take it down! Tell me if you think that's a good idea!
My humour .. um .. ranges. I love smart political humour, but I do fall for pretty lame stuff too. Jeez, I just saw 'Four Lions' last night and it was hilarious but I can't imagine how it got green lit -- it's the darkest black comedy I've ever seen. Shocking!
My husband says I just laugh at everything. So there ya go.

Tara, sweetie, what the heck is this? We need more than "just what the title says"!!
All I can think it is some obscure (well, maybe it isn't obscure) gay reference?
I am mystified.

I guess he hasn't learned the Zen defence to this attack:
"It's raining."
"Why?"
"Why do you think it's raining, sweetie?"
Done.
Most humor is at the expense of the subject. If he applied the Zen defence, the joke would cease to be funny. If he were enlightened, everything and nothing would be funny, and it would no longer be existentially imperative for him to rant to an audience. Money would be no object and he would be one with nature. Not funny, though he would be happier and winning more at life. However, his sacrifice to give us humor is a noble one, and his earthbound reward equal to his skills as a comedian.
