The Password - The Office US

Esoog says...

I do watch Brooklyn Nine Nine. You're right, that is a worthy sitcom. Superstore, I admit, I never got into. I'll have to check it. The Good Place I liked the first season, then got a little bored.

Modern Family is great, but I feel like it's jumped the shark the past 2 seasons.

Are you watching Brooklyn Nine Nine, Superstore, or the Good Place? Those are all great mainstream sitcoms, and they were all created by vets of The Office, so they share DNA.

I really miss The Office. I mean, it plays every day on TBS, and we have every episode recorded on our DVR...but I miss it being new. There are no good mainstream sitcoms anymore.

What Die-Hard Fans Don't Even Know About The Big Bang Theory

Diogenes says...

I've never watched it, and find it really surprising that it's been on for over 10 years now. Over that time period, I've had a good number of friends and acquaintances ask me, "Do you know The Big Bang Theory?" I've always answered, "Yes, I'm aware of it," usually followed by my wondering if they're some kind of "Young Earther." With this sift I've now realized it's a sitcom. And it's just going into a long queue of "must-see" TV shows, like Two-and-a-Half Men, Always Sunny in BlaBla, etc. Somebody pushed me to watch Breaking Bad, but after just a few episodes...and Jesse the Idiot not dead yet...I had to quit. What a Gilligan! I guess I'll just go back to reading, and wait for Rick and Morty...and maybe, just maybe, they'll finally make a movie of Deadwood.

I cannot for the life of me fathom how anyone could ever like tbbt , its the most boring repetetive recipe-sitcom ever . Bad , over the top sterotyped characters crap "jokes" propped up by canned laughter .. if the laugh track wasnt there , you wouldnt even notice there was a joke there . WHY?? WHY IS THIS CRAP POPULAR??!

Its a fuckin emu!

I haven't heard anyone refer to us Yanks as prudish since Lenny Bruce.

American sitcoms and advertising are full of sniggering schoolboy references to MILFs, GILFs, BJs, DPs, FLIRJs, etc. I guess it's prudish to use acronyms, huh?

Only prudish Americans think the word "cunt" is so outrageously offensive. Everywhere else, its just the female anatomical equivalent of the word "dick".

Trump and the GOP's Health Care Con Falls Apart

MilkmanDan says...

Is Trump a great deal-maker that can get both sides of the aisle to work together? No. Is he the "only one who can fix the system"? No. Will he ever admit that he was just blowing smoke up our asses? No.

Did Obama really come through on "hope" and "change"? No. Would he ever just come right out and say that he failed to deliver on that stuff? No.

I'm all for holding Trump and other politicians accountable when their bullshit promises are proven to be bullshit. We're only a brief bit into Trump's term and he's already got a lot to answer for. But Seth Myers is acting like "spin" is some sort of unprecedented new thing.

The sitcom credits cut is quite good though.

It's Always Sunny in Europe

Payback says...

TV Sitcom, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia , this is a parody of their opening.

I've only seen one episode, where they all get addicted to crack. I can see why people like it, it's well done. Just not particularly funny to me.

Does that translate to ....
'Springtime, for Merkel, in Germany.
Winter, for Turkey, and Greece?
