Are they speaking SIM language?

Ought to be perfect for racing sims. I'd worry about not being able to see my controls for flight sims, though. For older and simpler planes it might be okay, but for modern stuff there is no way you'd be able to get by on just the controls and buttons you can access by feel.

Well, actually, put enough jump jets on a Nova and it pretty much was a flight sim (still flew like a brick of course). I think the sim aspect of it went a long way towards making feel like you were really piloting a 30 plus ton war machine, yep, good times.

I wanted to see molly sims....

I'm assuming you know of/understand the concept behind Sim City or similar city building type games? The aim being to make the biggest possible city that runs well and doesn't devolve into crime and poverty?

Well the various 'tycoon' games are all the same thing, just focused on one area of life. So 'rollercoaster tycoon', 'railroad tycoon', 'zoo tycoon', 'brothel tycoon' (ok, I wrote that as a joke, but then thought I should check to see if something similar exists, and lo and behold there is a 'sim brothel' flash game.... I don't know why I ever doubted there would be.

So what are you guys going to do when Romney loses? The Republicans have made it their singular goal to get rid of Obama, when that fails, and you know it's going to happen. That really makes the Reps seem impotent, doesn't it.

I still play Sim City 4 to this day. I am definitely looking forward to this.

I will be buying the special edition. I hated 2000 and 3000. But the first sim city on SNES and sim city 4 were badass. I'm pretty sure my social life died from these games... and Civiliazation... and counter strike... and Battlefield... and Ceaser III... and GTA... and Roller Coaster Tycoon... and Railroad Tycoon... Can't forget SW X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Rebellion, Jedi outcast, Jedi Academy, Battlefront...

It's undoubtedly pretty, but I'm unsure of it's usefulness in games. There's a whole bunch of rigid bodies interacting, but no deformation, and given that most games tend to model people, that's kind of a problem.

Would probably make for an awesome space sim though.

I'm guessing that they're trying to give Americans a feeling for what it is like to listen to an American accent as a foreigner by mixing in gibberish words that still contain the American pronunciation features and also speaking their lines while using American sentence stress and intonation features. The result is a spoken dialogue that is mostly unintelligible in the sense that you can't pick out specific words but in general understandable in the sense that you can use the context cues, line delivery, and a few unchanged words to figure out what is going on.

If you've ever played any of the Sims games you should be familiar with the concept, as they did something similar with Simlish.
