Innuendo, this whole video is full of it.

Shape, and smooth. Pinch and pull. Do it from all angles, and make a groove down the middle. Even and consistent handle, keep it really wet, lubricated. If you get to much friction. Length and thickness that you want.

On Porn and Other Matters (Sift Talk Post)

Sagemind says...

Sometimes My kids watch through some videos with me on the sift.
Now I'm an artist, I've been through art school. I have drawn, painted and sculpted nudes countless times and have no issues with the human form whatsoever. (and yes, I've seen porn...) I am fairly liberal when it comes to nudity.

I have watched rental movies with my kids and some nudity has come up. As a parent, I cringe a little and quietly watch to see the reactions my kids have - Mostly so as not to create a situation out of it and turn it into a non-issue. My son (8) cringes, covers his eyes and asks to let him know when it's over. My daughter (13) has a different reaction, she responds with "Gross", frowns, and continues watching - to which I comment, "no it isn't, get over it", again to try and make it a non-issue. There is a place in story telling and in real life where nudity and sex exists - I say get over it and move on.

If I were to come across content, created for "explicit pleasurable gratification" or "exploitation", I'd probably hit the stop button and mention that it wasn't appropriate for kids. I wouldn't make an issue of it because it doesn't offend me. But I make a decision and off it goes.

As with watching videos on the sift, I don't care about nudity in documentaries, I don't care about nudity as an art form, I don't care about nudity from a doctor's point of view or even as educational. I don't care about scantily clad figures (m or f) being admired or made fun of. We gawk at people in real life for their "assets", so we should be able to here.

But, I don't expect to come across videos that are suggestively inappropriate. Stripping them nude, just so we can gawk at their nakedness for no other reason, just may be inappropriate for this site, (there are already sites for that). Footage such as explicit nude sex scenes from R-rated movies, I can do without here on the Sift. R-rated excerpts from X-rated movies probably also shouldn't make their home here.

At no point here, am I suggesting we, on the sift, are kids, (as in my illustrations above), but I think Dag has a good idea and understanding of what he does and doesn't want this site to become. This site is a filter for good and great video clips, meme, comedy and making fun at things obviously messed up. What it isn't is a place to pile the trash.

"Antichrist" trailer, the new film by Lars von Trier

mcc99 says...

Willem Dafoe's a$$ always seems to get put on display in all the movies he's in. But I can understand that, he has a nice a$$ (even if this is coming from a str8 guy). Besides, we can all tell who will be the primary viewer of this film: women.

This film has all the earmarks of a horror-film-made-for-women. First, there is the a$$ shots of Willem Defoe. Second, there is the sex scenes-mixed-with-violence-and-horror. [I don't know ANY man who likes these kinds of scenes in horror films. Male horror film viewers like raw fear and blood & gore. I know of no men who like the sex + violence motif. I do know female horror film fans who do, though.] Then, there is the 1-on-1 nature of the relationship theme rather than the group-of-people-getting-killed-one-by-one thing that typifies most horror films and appeals mostly to male viewers. There is also the fact that the primary source of horror comes from the two characters inflicting it on each other. Definitely a female-appealing theme since it is relationship-centered more than situationally-centered. There is also the fact the couple is married. Slasher-killer horror films made for general audiences do not have married couples or if they do, they are among several such couples. In any case male viewers don't care about married couples being in the films and probably prefer they not be. Male horror film viewers are usually single and like it that way and don't really want to see married couples on film, since marriage is so... not them. Finally, the P/R around it is "gynocentric". Take a look: http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2009/jul/16/antichrist-lars-von-trier-feminism
You don't see other horror movies getting reviewed by a whole spate of feminists, do you? And these reviews are far from condemning. In fact they are practically one ad after another for it.

My analysis here is that the director/author had a stroke of marketing genius as well as inspiration, whether it arose from a serious bout of depression or not. This looks very much like it was made for a female audience characterized by women who like the horror genre (but don't want to admit it), and/or who like to watch situations that demonize men while seeing women in powerful but vulnerable (ie, victim) positions. It's perfect. It will make tons of money and probably cost very little to make. This guy will retire on it.

Freaking genius.

New *amazon invocation (Sift Talk Post)

Krupo says...

I'm already having fun with it... http://www.videosift.com/video/Trainspotting-The-Sex-Scenes

Now the obvious question: can there be a function to "batch invoke" the same links placed on one post (i.e. the one above) and move it to another (i.e., another Trainspotting clip)? Or is it better for the Sift to keep it manual to avoid (accidental?) link-spams and encourage more careful judgment? I wonder.

Regardless, *quality addition to the Sift!

(BTW, the .uk and .ca international flavours are definitely something that'll have to be considered down the road, as technology permits, I imagine...)
