What I liked about Robocop was its futuristic take on a world where life is cheap, everything is for sale and the corporations have take over - oh god.
Futuristic should be in quotes

Fun fact: I was an extra in Robocop 2. I skipped school with a couple of friends and went down for an open call for extras. They were filming the final battle between the two Robocops and the Wortham Center in Houston was used as the skyscraper in the movie (even though it is actually only a few stories tall). I am in a few scenes in the final movie, but I can be clearly seen right after Robocop 2 uses the welder on Robocop's helmet and explodes the pipe. The scene switches to several people running from the explosion and I am one of them! Good shit.

FYI Robocop totally holds up. It's a great movie. I think people tend to underrate Verhoeven; he's pretty awesome.
Yeah. I am glad the remake got shot down due to MGM's budget problems.

haha.. Nice. I actually rewound the clip and watched from the start instead of the embedded timeframe.
Damn, I want to watch Robocop again now. I remember seeing it when it first came out as a kid, and it was my favorite movie for a while. I wonder how it would be to experience it again with a more mature mindset, and understanding more of the things that happen in the plot.
I watched its censored version again on local TV in HD on Easter Sunday 2010. It was quite cool and amusing.
