Bwaaahahahahaaaaaa!
Trump’s legal team’s newest delay tactic in his NY trial? Tell the judge “there’s too much evidence against my client for our team to review by October, we need an extension.”
Never a good thing for a defense lawyer to complain there’s TOO MUCH evidence. Worst delay tactic ever.
ROTFLMFAHS!!!

Er Mer Gerd….Tuckers newest batch of emails.
“That’s the last 4 years. We’re all pretending we got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest, but come on. There really isn’t an upside to Trump.”
“We are very very close to being able to ignore Tump most nights. I truly can’t wait. I hate him passionately.”

This you guys…these you pick. You they sucker and idiot rube.

Not very smart of Trump to attack the judge hearing his NY case while that judge is considering who will essentially take over the Trump organization, stopping it from fleeing the state with its assets before they are all forfeit.
I feel like that might bite him in the ass….hard.
In the order, the judge noted persistent misrepresentations in every one of the financial disclosure documents reviewed, which was every one from 2011-2021 and is installing the independent monitor to “ensure there is no FURTHER fraud or illegality..” and “defendant’s other arguments (are) unavailing and non dispositive” (another way to say they’re nonsensical bullshit and overruled). Not good when the judge has decided already that there are absolutely criminal acts this early in the case….I guess he should have offered a defense.

Also not so bright to not offer any defense at all….but there really is no defense for the unprecedented bank, wire, and tax fraud the case has proven conclusively Trump committed repeatedly with no contradiction of that fact.

It was very bright to settle the lawsuit this week that had been brought by peaceful protesters from during Trump’s first campaign who were beaten up by his security outside of Trump tower about 7 years ago. It sounds like the jury was picked and his “lawyers” realized they all hated Trump and might award hundreds of millions. The settlement isn’t public yet, but it was enough for all plaintiffs to accept it immediately, and it’s another admission of guilt by Trump, who’s losing so much we might get tired of him losing (not likely).

I wish I believed that was true, but his shallow state has infiltrated our legal system from the bottom to the top. The chances of him seeing prison are near zero, but the chances he’ll be in court the rest of his life are high.

Almost certainly his lackeys will continue to insert themselves and block advancement of the case by any means, just like the Federal judge that, without standing or even service of the complaint demanded the DOJ respond in 3 days to demands for a special master. That’s why he was so focused on installing judges in every vacant spot….he knew they would determine his fate one day. At the least, they will continue to stall and delay, ensuring this case drags on and Trump’s appeals will outlive him. Hopefully that’s enough. Trump won’t have a problem with that, he’ll use it to “fundraise” for a defense that never comes.

Too bad the summary response from the DOJ was essentially “too late, Kate, we reviewed and separated the possible client privilege documents day one, and have reviewed the rest repeatedly now, the point is moot. We know what we seized already.” Trump’s legal team is the bottom of the barrel, only lawyers willing to work for free and destroy their own career stepped up, and they’re the worst team I’ve ever heard of. Amber Heard had better lawyers. 😂

Why it's hard to be Republican w/a mind and heart

It’s what he is trying to stop the FBI from looking at (3 weeks after they seized it-HA). Sorry, do you think the public will get to see the unredacted list of exactly what secrets they found there? Good luck, that’s classified. What we do have is a list of how many, and what classification was found, and that includes the highest level of classification never allowed outside secure locations (nuclear secrets would be in that category).
Be clear, nuclear secrets covers a ton, not just the launch codes some suspect.
P.s. based on past behavior, he may still have nuclear secrets too.
Also be clear, Trump’s legal team has made no moves at all to ask for more openness or less secrecy, the media has. Trump’s team has made a half assed attempt to keep even the FBI and DOJ from reviewing them with clearance in secure locations, trying to hide what he stole from anyone. Lol.

Where is it? Either the FBI or DOJ.

If being curious enough to investigate the things I don’t know AND the things I do know to be sure I’m correct in my memory is elitist, fine.
If calling out made up nonsense and liars is elitist, I’ll accept that gladly.
If debating using facts from reliable cited sources and reason is elitist, mea culpa.

Can you define the mindset, or would any definition suit you more than me so it’s better to not define your insult?
Elite-the most powerful, rich, gifted, or educated members of a group, community, etc. I am none of those, I might be one of the better researchers with a decent, not great education. The internet makes us all equal in knowledge if you know how to research….hint, it’s not by reading one article that tells you only what you already believe. I’m not the most rich, powerful, or educated here…are you calling me gifted?
…and you say you’re rich, educated, and I bet you think gifted….aren’t you elitist? You definitely think you know it all despite being demonstrably wrong near 100% of the time on any subject.

No, sorry friendo, you are an immense asshole constantly to nearly everyone, both personally and politically. I’m an asshole to you, because I believe that’s what liars deserve, and you lie constantly and absolutely never admit you were mistaken (why I say you lie and weren’t just incorrect).

Sorry where is this information ?

Don't need to be rich to be an elitist. Its a mindset and you , my friend have the disease.

I'm rich and only a small fraction of the asshole you are.

Pilot Makes Emergency Landing on Busy Highway

jimnms says...

During my flight training, I was always taught that a highway or paved road was the last place to land in an emergency. For one, power lines tend to cross paved roads and by the time you can see them, it's too late to avoid them. Another is that it endangers others on the ground. Many pilots lose their lives trying to save the plane in an emergency. The best advice I got during my training was that when the plane quits on you, it's now your life boat. Use it to save your life, don't risk yours to save it.

During my flight training I also worked at a small GA airport. I got to know a lot of the pilots there. One owned a construction company and would often fly over his construction sites to survey them from the air. He came out that morning, I filled up his plane and he never returned. I didn't think much of it, although he rented a hangar from us, he also had a private air strip too.

A few days later, I found out that he was killed making an emergency landing. While flying over the construction site, his engine quit and he tried to land on a road. A car pulled out from a side street and he pulled up to avoid it. The landing gear snagged a power line, which caused it to nose dive into the ground and rupture the fuel tanks. It caught fire, and people tried to get to him to pull him out. They said he appeared to be alive and trying to get out, but the fire spread too fast.

The way I found out was a bit shocking. Investigators from the NTSB showed up to review our fuel and maintenance logs. We have to perform daily tests on the fuel and equipment, and I was the one that did those tests the day he was killed. It wasn't the fuel that caused the engine to quit, but that thought that maybe I screwed up the test and caused it and knowing he probably burned alive haunted me. That's something I'll never forget.

Let's talk about altering the Supreme Court....

newtboy says...

The Fourth Amendment explicitly affirms the “right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.” The Fifth Amendment in its Self-Incrimination Clause enables the citizen to create a zone of privacy which government may not force him to surrender. The 14th amendment “due process clause” has been interpreted to also affirm a right to privacy.

https://www.aclu.org/other/students-your-right-privacy

Sure sounds like rights to privacy are right there in the bill of rights though, an addendum to the constitution, as explained in numerous Supreme Court rulings.

<SIGH>. I thought you said “Pedantry is tiresome. Tell your friends.” Maybe take your own advice?

Some light reading…. In January 1973, the Supreme Court issued a 7–2 decision in McCorvey's favor ruling that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides a "right to privacy" that protects a pregnant woman's right to choose whether to have an abortion. It also ruled that this right is not absolute and must be balanced against governments' interests in protecting women's health and prenatal life.[4][5] The Court resolved this balancing test by tying state regulation of abortion to the three trimesters of pregnancy: during the first trimester, governments could not prohibit abortions at all; during the second trimester, governments could require reasonable health regulations; during the third trimester, abortions could be prohibited entirely so long as the laws contained exceptions for cases when they were necessary to save the life or health of the mother.[5] The Court classified the right to choose to have an abortion as "fundamental", which required courts to evaluate challenged abortion laws under the "strict scrutiny" standard, the highest level of judicial review in the United States.

dogboy49 said:

To me, the current crop of justices seem to be less willing to deviate from the Constitution as written. Should abortion be allowed? IMO, yes. BUT, are laws banning abortion unconstitutional? According to the Constitution as written and amended, probably not. Roe v Wade was written by a court that believed that abortion and the "right to privacy" should carry the weight of constitutional law, even though the Constitution is silent on these "rights".

My suggestion: If abortion should be considered to be a "right", then so amend the Constitution. Otherwise, it will be subject to the vagaries of "interpretation" forever.
