Hockey Fights now available pre-game! Full-teams included!
Come on *Canada get your shit together. Bunch of fuckin' savages
I am however interested in knowing what kicked off a pre game team wide brawl.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Key members of a Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) franchise have been suspended until the end of the 2016-17 playoffs following a hot-tempered brawl during the pre-game warmup on Sunday.
The Laval Predators, who play in the infamously fight-happy LNAH, were involved in a melee before the puck drop on a game against the St-Georges Cool-FM.
Predators co-owner Eric Lajeunesse, CEO Lucien Paquette and assistant coach Dannick Lessard all received two-season bans on Tuesday.
The eight-team, Quebec-based LNAH, which is considered a "low-level professional league", is known for its outrageous behaviour, with footage of a bizarre on-ice scene going viral seemingly every other month.
Other supplemental discipline, announced on Wednesday, include:
LAVAL: Maxime Bouchard and Clint Butler (suspended for remainder of season/playoffs); Steven Oligny (7 games); Joe Rullier and Chris Cloutier (6 games); Philippe Pepin (5 games); Jonathan Oligny (4 games)
ST-GEORGES: Yannick Dallaire (3 games); Alexandre Gauthier and Jean-Michel Biron (2 games)

Ice Skating On A Crystal Clear Lake In Sweden
You would not be able to track the puck as well as on blanched ice. =)
What? Perfect ice and not a puck in sight?

7 year old Hockey Sniper snuffs out 3 candles
Skillful as in skillful editing.
Theoretically the whole circus act could almost be pulled off with lighter than normal pucks, allowing the puck trajectory of the first and third shots and a quick wrist shot 2nd (which is very ulikely for a 7yo). In any case the pickup before the juggling looks all wrong - could have conceivably been done with a ball just to make the editing easier.
Take a look at something like this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLamA97C14A
to compare the stick and skating skills and puck physics of a more probably real 7yo without the drama.

Me too, I want to believe it's real, but something about those pucks that make me call shenanigans.

Midnight Special - 1974 - Golden Earring - Radar Love - Live
Just like that recently posted version of Heart's Magic Man, this is another live vocal over a studio recording ... that is, the singer is singin' but the band is fakin' it. Check out the rubber puck on the snare drum - always a dead give away
. Still cool though!
Buffalo Sabres win in OT on one of the strangest goals ...
You're right. I've seen other goalies (Dominic Hasek comes to mind) fall on a puck in the goal and scootch themselves back out of the net so when they get up it magically appears on the non-goal side of the line.
In case anyone is wondering why they are making a semi-big deal about whether or not you can see the puck once it is across the line,

TL/DR- Schrodinger's Puck: It was and wasn't a goal, all at the same time.
In case anyone is wondering why they are making a semi-big deal about whether or not you can see the puck once it is across the line, I remember several years ago there was a play where a goalie covered up the puck with his glove (which should result in a whistle, but in this case didn't immediately) and in the split second afterwards had 90% of his glove, including the portion where the puck had been visible a split second before, pushed across the goal line.
The play went under review, and I believe Darren Pang (a former goalie) was confident that it would be ruled no goal because even though it was next to 100% obvious that the puck had crossed the goal line, you couldn't physically see it. The review came back and he had been correct, and he ventured further that even in a hypothetical situation where the puck slipped under a goalie's leg or something (out of sight of any camera) and then the goalie's entire body slid into the net across the line, it would be ruled no goal if the puck was obscured from vision until the play was whistled dead.
I thought it was interesting that the laws of physics can assert that the puck MUST be in there, but according to the rules it won't count unless you can directly SEE it across the line.
At least, that is how I remember the discussion going. Anyone care to confirm or set me straight on any details I may have screwed up?

Best Shootout goal ever in ICE Hockey?
I always thought it was as long as the puck keeps moving forward. Are there some of the better moves you've seen that have videos that, if you have the time, could post links too if they exist? Huge hockey fan, love the mess that the shootout sometimes is. Note: bored of the spin-a-rama move (way more questionable move than the one in this video).
It's questionable whether this goal should have been allowed. In a shootout the shooter must always be moving forward. It looks to me like he put on the brakes and stopped his forward motion before completing his spin move and shooting. In any event it's far from the greatest shootout goal ever. I've seen dozens of goals equal to or better than this.
Best Shootout goal ever in ICE Hockey?
Holy crap, how can anyone watch a game with so many ads printed on the ice? It's hard enough to see the puck on plain white ice.
Ghostery: Knowledge + Control = Privacy
So this relative pizza places are related as a branch? That's OK then. If they were competitors, then I would be worried!

Also, did Pac/Puck-Man eat a power pollet to make that ghost blue (why happy too?)
Amazing Between The Legs Goal by 19yr old Tomas Hertl
I'm certain the title was referring to Hertl's shot. He lets the puck slow until it's between his legs, then flips his stick between his legs and hits it in while it's just behind him.
Over the goalie's right shoulder, not between the legs.
Shows it clearly at 0:49
Amazing Between The Legs Goal by 19yr old Tomas Hertl
Yes, Hertl did well, but holy crap, there were THREE Rangers within reach and not one of them bothered to skate hard and get there. One gives a half-assed slap of the stick before letting Hertl skate away from him.
And don't tell me they were tired. Puck started at the other end, the whole Rangers crew should have changed if they were that tired.
Wringing Out a Wet Washcloth in Space
Wait a second... The hockey-obsessed Canadian goes on and on about how 'space washcloths are like hockey pucks,' but then to clean up the water at the end of the video, he whips out a regular ol' terrycloth washcloth!
