This man is POTUS

newtboy says...

But those who itemized before lost big money. Now the standard deduction is almost always the best you get, not the case before….bait and switch is all that was, a shell game, not a give back.

Where’s my tax form I can fill out on a postcard in 5 minutes? Where’s the promised simplification so ordinary people don’t have to spend hundreds or thousands to get their taxes done? And when do those higher standard deductions run out, without the return of previously deductible offsets?

How Does Film ACTUALLY Work? - Smarter Every Day 258

BSR says...

I've never processed color film but I've had years of processing Black and White film and prints. My father and I built a darkroom in the basement of our house.

Dad was a historian and published 5 books with photographs copied from old postcards he collected.

He would go back to the same spot where a postcard was photographed to make a Then & Now tour.

Needless to say I've spent much of my life in the darkroom. B/W photography isn't sensitive to red light so it's not completely dark as it is with color film.

Also spent many years doing offset printing from small presses to large newspaper presses. The process is much the same.

Trump Gets Fired

newtboy says...

Rotflmfahs!!!
Never backs down.....Except when prosecuted for fraud, or redlining (denying black people access to his buildings), or charity fraud, or finally admitting he repeatedly paid for sex while married, or when Mexico refused to build or pay for his wall, or when he promises to fix our infrastructure, or when he claims massive 2016 vote fraud, or when he promises to simplify taxes so they fit on a postcard, or about Covid/masks.... Seems like he often backs down....almost half as often as he's wrong.

The too close to call/recount is bullshit. Georgia, where he claims it's too close, requires the campaign asking for a recount to pay for it, and Trump is flat broke with a zero credit rating and his campaign is deep in massive debt. Good luck....it won't change the outcome even if it flips the state, which it won't. Remember, when you donate to the legal defense fund, most of that money goes to pay Trump's bills, some into his pocket, and what's left might pay Rudy to rant in a parking lot. It's not paying for decent lawyers to try a case, they're consistently being laughed out of court for having zero evidence of their baseless accusations, most of which wouldn't change results if found to be credible. Decent lawyers won't touch these frivolous cases.

The cheating and interference was 99.9996% from your team. >300000 missing mail in ballots because Trump's guy ignored court orders, slowed mail to a crawl, and refused to search mail sorting rooms for ballots like he was ordered to by a federal judge. Armed intimidation at polls. Last minute voter purges. One collection box for counties of 4 million. All republican tactics that kept it from being a massive blowout, but couldn't stop the tide. All you have to claim democrats cheated are words from untrustworthy liars, no evidence whatsoever.

It's funny you think your best argument for a second trump term is that he was incapable of presiding over a free and fair election or of accepting the results.

It's ok, Bob. You can admit you're crying in your beer. It must hurt to be forced to realize your world view is a fantasy.....just a dream.

MEGA landslide-- no so -- At least I can dream.

Some cheating/ interference-- yes-- big enough -- don't know.

1 thing for sure is that Trump never backs down.

Joe Biden response towards Tara Reade allegations

newtboy says...

Lol. So, 65000 and counting dead Americans, economy in tatters, debt and deficit exploded, recession/depression, unemployment skyrocketing, states going bankrupt, no wall, taxes not on a postcard, and 25 credible accusations of sexual assault VS one incredible and inconsistent accusation of assault and you think the single accusation is the coffin nail.

Trump talked about grabbing women by the pussy, so did the 25 women who've accused Trump of sexual assault from forcible groping to outright rape, some talked about it in court, not to mention the naked underage girls or the unknown number of abused girls and women he paid to keep silent.

25 consistent and believable stories accusing Trump of abuse in great detail and his multiple private and public admissions caught on tape, one fairly unbelievable and consistently evolving story now accusing Biden of public forced penetration somewhere in the public halls of congress sometime 27 years ago. Duh.

The trump tax cut. It was a disaster when Kansas this.

newtboy says...

Really? "Cut out some of the loopholes"...while creating how many new ones? The effect is the same.
Promised growth never happens in these plans, except in a select few pockets.

Funny, Trump's tax promise was "you'll do your taxes on a postcard", not "I'll make taxes more convoluted and cut hundreds of billions a year for multi millionaires and businesses while actually raising them for the poor."

Did you do your taxes on a postcard in <5 minutes? Will you save the >$4000 he promised?
Winning.

Trump tax cuts not the same as Kansas tax cuts.. It cut out some of the loop holes that Kansas had... Kansas was a example and lessons learned.

Whitehouse Admits Tax Plan Saves Trump,Tens Of Millions Year

newtboy says...

You don't think that has anything to do with the biased garbage you watch? I've seen every Democrat (politician) ever asked about the tax bill admit it benefits them, including Obama and Clinton.

Remember the last 6 months of "I pay more under this plan, it doesn't benefit me at all." ? You enjoy being completely lied to about a $1.5 Trillion a year handout to billionaires? So, Obama's problem was he wasn't rich or dishonest enough for you?

Democrats say it's financial Armageddon because handing over $1.5TRILLION per year to a hand full of hyper rich people when we already had a huge deficit is exactly that.
It's odd, (not really, it's typical Bob) I recall you and the right screaming Armageddon every time Obama passed a bill, and claiming he doubled the debt/deficit in his first term....clearly that was a racist ruse and financial responsibility is not an issue for you, because this single law costs far more than even you claimed Obama spent, a number that had you frothing at the mouth with rage, and is designed to benefit a single family...Trump's.

Bob...you admitted he's an unqualified liar who cannot get anything done, then you counter yourself with " Trump is kicking ass, making America greater this year even being dogged every day" Stop being idiotic and pretending you actually have a real opinion, you're obviously just trolling when you spout this nonsense, and it makes you look moronic.

I have no kids, and don't itemize, my tax rate goes UP under this law, so I probably pay more. This isn't the "pay your taxes on a postcard" promise kept, this adds serious complexity to the tax code, it doesn't simplify it. They admitted that, can't you?

Jesus fucking Christ, this single bill adds $15 Trillion to the debt over 10 years, so yes, let's be fair. For 2016, the deficit is expected to be approximately $590 billion, in 2020 that's now $2.09 Trillion...assuming Trump doesn't steal more for himself. Had Obama not increased the military budget by over $100 Billion (contrary to all right wing liars who falsely claim he shrunk it) in an effort to gain bipartisan support for his plans (a fool's errand) he would have actually SHRUNK the deficit. Clinton actually lowered the debt, erasing the deficit until your guy, Bush, turned us around bigly.

Only Americans who make over $150k a year will benefit financially...in the short term. When they have to pay for massive amounts of private security, private roads, water treatment, etc, and the country becomes Chinese (purchased and by force, with no allies left to help us, and China aligned with Russia, we're toast).
The "vase majority" of America might benefit, but the vast majority of Americans will pay dearly, as will the nation as a whole.

Sore looser? Compared to your (and the right's) treatment of Obama, I'm a trump supporter.
Stop trolling, you sound like a 4 year old ...lies, excuses, reversals, nonsense, misdirection, and high praise for a moron....not a good look, buddy. If Trump is kicking ass, it's for Russia and China, not us. Made us greater, by raising the debt and deficit by up to 400% with a single move and losing our international standing and allies. Dogged every day?....Not compared to Obama. Recall, instead of legislating, Republican leadership said 'my number one priority is making sure president Obama's a one-term president.', acted upon by being the most obstructionist and disrespectful congress in modern history.... during wartime, and not ending at the borders either. Better to hate Democrats than love America....morons and traitors, the lot of you.

bobknight33 said:

I have yet to see any video of Democrats saying they will benefit from the tax cuts. Democrats just say its Armageddon and its not. Lets be real. They will benefit, just like Trump.

Trump is kicking ass, making America greater this year even being dogged every day.

Hillary would not even come close.

Be thankful for you 12 / 24 k base of non taxable income. Better than keeping records all year then having to prove you are worthy of the deduction.

Stop being such a sore loser.

"and every American citizen because it bankrupts the nation" ? Where were you the last POTUS / house /senate added 10 Trillion of actual debt added.
Come on newt I know we are both biased but at least be fair.

The vase majority of Americans will benefit.

that is really odd to have picked out, I am extremely protective of my scar from my surgery and here he is in a video just throwing it out. I learned something tonight.

Dan Mangan "So Much For Everyone"

calvados says...

http://lyrics.wikia.com/Dan_Mangan:So_Much_For_Everyone.

As much as i'd like to go

To places i've never known,

Scared shitless to leave home,

And i don't want to go alone.

I miss the rewarding gaze

Of a friend from my younger days,

Didn't mind 'bout my selfish ways,

As he died i was miles away.

I hope he remembers how,

As i do when i look back now,

Though he'd bark at the slightest sound,

Would not bite for he knew not how.

And sometimes it's more than clear,

When morning comes early here,

And i know that the day is near,

Wasted days make for wasted years.

Now i'm vicious with appetite,

Sobering half a mind,

Dripping with stolen wine,

Awoken by something i dreamt.

Harboured by everything i have been witnessing.

Postcards and daydreaming

Get less embarrassing.

After the day is done,

I will be on the run -

So much for everyone, so much for everyone.

The showdown is endless here,

Under the burning sun.

As eyes roll toward me now,

I will drop my gun.

i tend to find that sometimes simple word play jokes can be really funny to people who don't speak english as their first language.

If you're offended by that, please explain how and i'll try to remedy the situation. It's written without malice; i hang around with other europeans a lot, and that's what i've noticed and as we have non native english speakers on the site i thought it might be why it's a popular one. I hope you don't feel that laughing at simple word play jokes is a bad thing, because i don't (i just don't like this one). Nevertheless, if i can make you feel better about the comment i will try to.

Well i think in my own head i was wondering at the way simple things become funnier when you're not native to your audience - like that guy that lives with tribes and they giggled over simple things. The internet being a big mixing pot, i was speculating at the way the basic elements of humour do well on tinternet. A bit like this and the "we are sinking" video. I think a littly too far ahead of myself at times though, and i explained it poorly, and perhaps no one cares. Send complaints on a postcard.

Daniel Tosh's Bullying Video

Yogi says...

Sometimes he's quite funny. I never got the peoples utter hatred of Dane Cook, I watched his special and I laughed. It's just when I watch Louis CK he makes me laugh harder and makes me think. That doesn't make me HATE Dane Cook and wish him death, it just makes me get more excited about Louis CK.

Putting people in boxes is wrong, and can hurt. And then lead them to make stupid videos with words on postcards.
