I also don't care for the malformed logic they practice. Another republican acquaintance of mine called me a "segregationist" because I said trans-athletes should be able to play on the team of their self identified sex.

Finally, I do agree there is some room for some anger. I don't like it when the GOP or their sycophants go on a "Let's take rights away from someone today, AS A TEAM!"

Take what's happening with their complaints of "cancel culture"
Coca Cola, Disney, etc etc private companies and bakeries

The new and improved supreme court helped establish that private businesses can discriminate against you based on a genuine philosophical or religious belief. Bakery vs the gay couple "TAKE THAT, GAYS!!!"

They didn't realize that that meant ALL businesses could now do that. But again, if it happens to them, it can happen to you.

What ever happened to old fashioned farmers matches that could be lit super-easy. I used to have a cool party trick with those, I could light them on glass. Then they just up and disappeared.

But when you've got a corked bottle of decent wine and can't be bothered to rummage around in your drawer for the corkscrew, this is an excellent party trick!

I remember various open days and end of term lessons including these chemistry party tricks. Its cool if this sort of stuff sparks an interest in chemistry, but a REALLY good teacher makes learning about the less spectacular/explosive/colourful aspects of chemistry interesting.

I did always like potassium chlorate + gummybear/jellybaby though. Had some interesting physics lessons too. Shit like trying to build the highest load bearing bridge with the fewest toothpicks (I won ).
