His father, another MAGgot, while being interviewed found out his son shot up a gay bar murdering multiple people and his answer was literally “Oh my god, is he gay? And he’s not gay, so it’s like WHEW! I’m just glad he’s not gay.”

You people are so sick in the head.

What we know so far….

The man who used an AR-15 to shoot up a Colorado gay nightclub killing 5 and injuring 25 is the grandson of a MAGA politician Randy Vogel who praised the January 6 insurrection.
We are also learning he had called in a bomb threat against his mother and had an armed standoff with police in 2021, and despite this violent history was still able to easily legally get an AR-15 thanks to Republicans opposing ANY Common sense gun regulations.
Sure sounds like another MAGA terrorist went on a murder spree….party of death, debauchery, and destruction. 🤦‍♂️

Well, I don't agree with this premise.

As @newtboy points out, there are plenty of other things the bible lists as sinful that no one really gives a damn about.

IMO, the evangelical right's abhorrence of homosexuality isn't really about religion. There are two factors at play:

1 - "gays are icky". Some guys (and it is mostly guys) are seriously disturbed by the idea of male homosexual acts. Lesbians? Eh, they're obviously evil, but also kinda hot, so we'll let that one slide.

2- fear of being gay and/or being labelled gay. "Me? I'm not gay! I hate gays!"

Ultimately, I think that for the majority of evangelical christians, homosexuality will be more and more accepted, especially as the older members die off.

The evangelical christian belief that homosexuality is immoral isn't going to disappear, it's being listed in both old and new testaments as sinful makes that a lock.

New Rule: Distinction Deniers

That context is a litmus test that unconsciously filters my own, personal actions regarding sexual interactions. As I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) I didn't include that which doesn't enter my regular thoughts. As I'm not a woman, I also don't include that as a parameter as well.

You think religious people don't think their moral conscience comes from personal faith? That's silly on your part, because it's practically a requirement. Why else would you have personal faith in a higher power? Moral conscience.

Please, God, calm my temper.
Please, God, free me from the pleasure of my constant masturbation.
Please, God, save me from the temptation of my neighbor's hot wife.
Please, God, make me not gay.
Please, God, don't let me date rape again.

Can't you see that the point of religion is to give or force a specific moral conscience onto humanity? That. Is. What. Religion. Is.

nanrod said:

Did Stephen just equate having a personal religious faith with having a moral conscience. I hope not. Shades of that idiot Steve Harvey and his "moral barometer".

Should gay people be allowed to marry?

Payback says...

Look up what the word bigot means. It describes nearly every talking point you've ever put forth here.

The only people who are truly threatened by gays are probably gay themselves, just in denial.

I'm not gay.

I even have a slight discomfort viewing gays kissing passionately. I also have a slight discomfort watching obscenely fat straight people kissing passionately. Or people who are vastly different ages kissing passionately. Or Republicans talking. Or responding to people who just say shit to cause a ruckus even though they really couldn't give a shit either way.

You're in there somewhere.

Wow. You don't understand the concepts of civilization, society, or legal rights at all, do you?
You know that, by FAR, most sodomites are not gay, right? Apparently not.

Sniper007 said:

The very notion that a right can be granted by society is absurd. Either you have the right, or you don't. Society has nothing to do with it.

The reason sodomites insist on receiving extrinsic, public sympathy and support is because their lifestyle has no intrisic virtue. Every sodomite is by definition an evolutionary dead-end, and that community struggles with suicide and depression far more than the general populace - for a reason. Change is possible, but the world would have them believe they are "born that way and should never change". Horse hockey.

Three Hours Of Walking In NYC As A Homosexual Man

I pretty much expect to hear that this was a hoax. If not, that's crappy, but not the worst by far. My bro got a baseball bat to the head for being male in a 'gay area' in Houston, and he's not gay.
I'll reserve my vote for a few days to see if this is all fake.

Key & Peele: Office Homophobe

xxovercastxx says...

I'm not defining what is and is not gay, I'm saying that "one who is sexually attracted to those of one's own sex" is how we define homosexual and 'gay' is just a slang term for that. I'm just citing the definition, not deciding what it is. If you don't feel that 'gay' is synonymous with 'homosexual' in this context, then we won't be able to have this debate.

To address your claims about me, no, I'm not saying I'm only willing to tolerate a plain vanilla male personality. I don't mind a guy wearing a pink shirt; I don't mind an effeminate guy; I don't mind a gay guy; and I don't mind any combination of these things.

However, if he shoves a picture of his asshole in my face, unprompted and at work no less, then he's an asshole. If he accuses me of being homophobic just because I don't like him, then he's an asshole.

If this character was a straight woman with penis paraphernalia all over her desk, a picture of her asshole on her phone, and detailed genital descriptions of the guy she slept with last night, I wouldn't like her either.

Says who? What authority do you have to define what is and what is not gay? Your essentially saying that gays can only be gay in respect to whom they are attracted to. Anything else which deviates from mainstream heterosexual norms is "immature" and the mark of an "asshole". In other words you're only willing to tolerate difference so long as it's in a way that's acceptable to you. Who is the asshole again?

Again, the flamboyant character is caricature and much of his behavior is not work approrpriate. But it's entirely possible for a gay man to be effeminate and still be professional. According to you and this video however, once a gay man crosses the line into effeminancy, and starts to be different in a way that's harder to understand, then he deserves what's coming. I have a problem with that.

...and yet none of the signature qualities of Key's character are actually gay.

There's nothing gay about his haircut, his shirt, his lisp or his asshole-selfie. The only thing gay about him is his sexual attraction to men. The rest is just his personality.

I wouldn't tolerate an immature, inconsiderate, unprofessional straight asshole, so why should I have to tolerate one who's gay?

I have nothing against unhealthy food, but if I'm going to eat something unhealthy, it can at least be tasty too.

Ellen Page Announces She's Gay At Las Vegas H.R. Conference.

ChaosEngine says...

Wow, so much ignorance in one post.

First up, you've just made @Yogi's point. Classical music was invented by humans, i.e. it does not naturally occur in the wild, unlike homosexuality, which does.

One: So fucking what? I have no desire to watch or participate in male homosexual behaviour. Because I'm not gay. Why would I have a problem with those that do?

Two: Eh??? What the hell does "priests" have to do with this topic?

Three: for the last time, homosexuality is not pedophilia. In fact, the majority of child sexual abuse is carried out by heterosexuals.

Four: Again, so fucking what? If you don't like gay men wearing codpieces or dog collars, stop searching google for those images.

Five: Man, you keep some strange fucking company. I've never heard of that before. Maybe it's a thing, maybe (and far more likely) you made it up or exaggerated a few incidents of people acting like assholes. Again, so fucking what? Straight people do terrible things do.

Six: I repeat, so fucking what? Are you that insecure that you can't handle a few queers acting effeminate? If you don't like that kind of person, don't associate with them.

It all comes down to this. No-one is forcing you to be gay or participate in "gay" activities. You have a choice.

Seriously, stop going to gay bars. Stop searching the internet for gay porn. Stop watching TV shows about home decorating. Stop looking for things to be outraged about.

But don't expect other people to conform to your narrow little viewpoint. You don't have the right not to be offended.

lantern53 said:

Homophobia exists in one species.

Ok, so does classical music.

Why do people dislike homosexuals?

Let's have an honest conversation about homosexuality.

One: it's a repellent thought for most men to think of one man fucking another man or sucking his dick.

Two: Priests

Three: homosexual child predators (I know there are hetero predators too...they are also disliked)

Four: Images of gay men parading down the street with red codpieces, dog collars, etc

Five: gay men flinging semen out of 2nd story windows (you can google for the pics if you have the stomach for it)

Six: gay men act strange, limp wristed etc

Now, I'm not even going to cover gay women. I don't think most men care much about gay women except the butch ones. The lipstick lesbians are a big part of straight porn, so...

Also I realize that there are many gay men who are responsible and don't engage in obnoxious gay behavior, and I know there are hetero men who engage in obnoxious behavior.

But the bottom line is, to most straight men, gay behavior is offensive. Keep it in your bedroom and to yourself.
