You have nooo idea how jealous I am. The food looks spectacular. I had a friend from Japan who used to do the same thing here in the US on New Years Day. It is quite the experience and now I realize how much I miss it! Maybe next year I'll have to try it.

At 3:30 you hear "they've tried everything but a _______" with the last word being scrambled. It's the word Bureaucracy. However the word bureaucracy is used earlier in the routine and may have been placed over the word crucifixion as suggested by Kiptw.

At 4:25 we hear "spend more than you earn and loan money to ________" In this case the censored word is Mexicans.

The scrambling is achieved by simply reversing that segment of the audio. This works well since most people will just assume they didn't hear it right, or maybe their TV had a glitch.

Why they chose these 2 items to censor is a mystery to me, this aired around new years day 1988/89.
