Read in an interview Bret Jemaine that some of the lyrics he wrote for the Muppet movie couldn't be used because they referenced the muppets as being puppets, which was a big 'no-no'... Which is kinda fair enough given this is some outtake - just saying.

Muppets owned by Disney are not real muppets. Movies produced by bureaucracies are inevitably uninspired and bland.

OMG, the jerk producer guy is Paul Williams, the guy who did the soundtracks for The Muppet Movie and Bugy Malone. He had a huge impact on my early musical tastes.

I really need to watch more of the Muppet Show now that it's out on DVD. I haven't watched it since I was maybe six or seven? I personally grew up watching the Muppet Babies and Fraggle Rock, although I still love the various Muppet movies that were made.
The creativity possessed by the group of people who made the Muppets impresses me. They make me feel happy and hopeful of the world.
