I mean to say there are 15 of them on the youtubes and I was going to give you the embed to get the star point, but I forgot to update the message.
My bad
In reply to this comment by Norsuelefantti:
So why won't you replace the embed with a working one then?
The current video says: "No longer available"...

Marvin Gaye - Mercy Mercy Me
Tempted to downvote for the completely unnecessary Iron-Eyes Cody tear, but this is Marvin Gaye we're talking about here, and my favorite album of all-time.
1970s Pollution PSA (Crying Indian)
>> ^ant:
Simpsons had a spoof of this. I think it was the episode where Homer figured out how to get rid of trash. It was at the end of the episode.
yup. wiki has that episode listed, in the numerous pop culture references.
embarrassing, that people still try to smear the ad, and the *humanitarian message, by pointing out that he wasn't an indian. objection: relevance.
i was looking for a video, for this tune, and one of 'em featured this PSA, in the clip.
nowadays, this *commercial would probably be considered a fairly *obscure reference.
it was anything but, when i was growing up. still one of the most successful psa's ever.
Marvin Gaye: Ain't That Peculiar? (1965)
Is it just me or is this a slightly weird looking Marvin Gaye?
Marvin Gaye - Heard It Through The Grapevine - A Capella
I love these. Check this one out as well - http://www.videosift.com/video/Marvin-Gaye-Aint-That-Peculiar-1965
Awesome Canadian National Anthem: Stanley Cup finals
couldn't be more wrong.
While they are not as good as America anymore in hockey , their national anthem still kicks the Star Spangled Banner's ass (unless, of course, Marvin Gaye is singing it)
zifnab, thank you for the promote . . .this gives me goosebumps each and every time I play it.
Jimi Hendrix - ' The Star Spangled Banner '
very cool. haven't seen that in ages. If you are looking for other interesting performances of the Star Spangled Banner, check out the Marvin Gaye version from the '83 NBA All Star game:

Best version ever, imo.
Marvin Gaye sexes up the American National Anthem
I though this was a dupe anyway, didn't someone already post this?
[edit] Found it, it's ladybug's but was discarded:

I would save it, but I, ahem, already used mine on someone
Marvin Gaye sexes up the American National Anthem
Hi, sorry for the mixup, I didn't realize that this was in violation. Even though it links to my youtube post, it's not promoting me or any service, if that matters. It's actually the only clip I've ever posted, so when I saw Marvin Gaye on your front page today, I just got inspired to hook you guys up. Repost away, if you must!
Cheers.

Make It Funky (excellent Japanese documentary, part 1 of 6)
An incredible Japanese documentary on the history of Funk (voice over & subtitles in Japanese, interviews etc in English) - obviously firstly focusing on it's godfather...James Brown, and then:
Part Two - Bootsy Collins
Part Three - Sly & The Family Stone plus
Part Four - Marvin Gaye & P-Funk
Part Five - The Bluenotes, David Bowie!? & Jackson 5
Part Six - Donna Summer, P-Funk's Mothership! & Public Enemy
Plus: prizes for any Sifter who can find James Browns' Funky Drummer...my favourite (and what I was originally looking for when finding all these Funky Sifts!)
