Guy "Attacks" News Reporter And Gets Arrested

That moment when the band realizes they've made it (0:16)

shinyblurry says...

God provides the evidence; that's what I mean about being able to empirically verify my claim. If you want to know if Jesus Christ is God, the way you do that is by praying to Him and asking Him to come into your life. On the other hand, there is no empirical verification for your atheistic naturalism. Its claims are founded upon metaphysical assumptions about reality with no hard evidence what so ever.

If you don't think I am sincere then engage me in further conversation rather than trail me around and say the same thing over and over again. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't sincere.

>> ^kymbos:
Ha! 'Hide behind the apron of true science'. Priceless.
Yeah, @spoco2, stop cowering behind scientific evidence and facts, you big girl's blouse. Be a man like me and believe in something without evidence, then call that belief 'empirically verified'.
I'm still not sure this isn't an elaborate scam. shinyblurry's sincerity, not god's existence. But then, come to think of it...

Space Stallions

Wait wait. I was with you up until you implied that Avatar: The Last Airbender was crap. It wasn't! Someone from the sift even worked on it, I forget who. Shamalama may have totally FUCKED the movie, but the cartoon was great fun, and actually quite poignant in parts. Not to mention, the artwork is gorgeous (see the fight between azula and zuko that I sifted, for example).

Of course maybe I read too much into your comment and you weren't implying that at all. In which case please ignore this comment entirely.

Cartoons are the thing most likely to bring out the grumpy old man in me.
Transformers (the original, not the rubbish bayhem or the anime crap), Thundercats, Ulysses 31 were all awesome. Hell, even later stuff like Animaniacs, Samurai Jack and Dexters Lab were excellent.
Kids these days with their yu-gi-mon the last air whatever! It's crap.
now get off my lawn!

You can think whatever you like. I know what I said.

And calling people's name is not normally productive, I would agree on that. But i think a time should come where stupidity should be called out. just that!

And as I said, nothing good comes from religion, because of the point I said before. Would your brother stop being a good person if he wasn't a mormon? If he would, then you're right, and you win.

"I am 100% correct" .... WOW. seriously? And I'm the fundamentalist who is absolutely right?
Man, spare me. I have better things to do.

>> ^bareboards2:

Oh, I read every thing you wrote.
And I think you do want to reach into other people's minds and edit what they think. You repeat it over and over. (And calling people names is not productive nor particularly intellectually rigorous.)
You also speculated and made up a lot of stories about a lot of things that I never said, and certainly do not believe. You might consider sticking to what I actually say. It makes any debate stay on track.
You say nothing good comes from religion. I say some good comes from religion. That is where I started in this conversation, and I have never wavered from my main point.
I am pretty good at seeing two sides, or three sides to any situation. However, in this case, I am 100% correct. I see evidence of some good coming from religion all the time.
If you don't, then I repeat my conclusion that you are indistinguishable from die-hard fundamentalists who see the world only through the prism of their own belief.
I love atheism, I love the rigorous intelligent analysis it represents.
I do not like atheism when it becomes indistinguishable from fundamentalist religion.
Don't know what else there is to say about this. I can keep repeating myself, if you want.

That nobleman stands in for God/Jeebs in that parable. But you should ask shiny, for him we're all slaves to the all-powerful dictator, only some of us (that is the evil atheists) are rebellious against his power.

I like Richard Morgans view on it

"Even if you could convince [a man like me], against all the evidence, that there really was a god? He’d just see him as a threat to be eliminated. If God were demonstrably real? Guys like me would just be looking for ways to find him and burn him down."

Dog rescued after spending 10 years tied to a chain outside

netean says...

There are very few things in this world that upset me. Man's inhumanity to man, bothers me, but we're all fucktards so I can understand it. But animal cruelty, animal neglect, animals as commodities and resources, just upsets me more than it's possible to describe.

Just watch that video, look how that dog looks SO happy at being petted.

Come the revolutions, fucktards like this dog's owner are first up against the wall.

Congrats to the Animal rescue center for being brave and finally stepping in to help.

Shep Smith on First Responders "How do they sleep at night?"

EgyptianPrincess says...

I would love to see that video. Please share it with me if you find it. And btw, the fbomb video you shared with me was priceless. I'm beginning to like Shep myself

WOW! I can't believe this was on FOX news!

Shep is a good person. I remember when I started to like him. It was right after he got back from a field reporting for the most recent Hezbollah/Israel conflict. He got back, and the latest story on the headlines was Mel Gibson doing his first Jew bashing thing. As the shot was fading away for a commercial, he muttered as an aide something to this effect. "There is a war on, people are dying, and we are talking about Mel Gibson". It was a striking moment of caring and candor which will forevermore crystallize in my brain that he is a good and decent man. Let me see if I can dig up that clip.
Also, the bits where he drops the fbomb on torture is worth a gander.
