You have to admit, the whole thing sounds a lot like they're revisiting the classic Heinz ketchup scene from the Manchurian candidate... which itself was a parody of the McCarthy witch hunts.

Once, meeting some friends in Melbourne city one night, they'd stopped off at a place called Lord of the Fries and gotten some "chick'n" nuggets. And they swore blind that it was real chicken no matter how much I tried to convince them that Lord of the Fries is 100% vegetarian. Mind you they were drunk.

I had one of their "burgers" before noticing the big sign saying there vegetarian. No sir, I don't like it. Good chips and fantastic sauces, though. Had an limited time "Obama Sauce" which was jalapeno, ketchup and pineapple. Was awesome!

My experience is that if it is a relatively new video that is being duped, the title helps.

If the original vid is older, though, the tags are the only help.

Then again, sometimes Sifty is "sick" and fails utterly for short periods of time.

It makes for boring tags but it does help Dupe Disappointment. Or more accurately, your Dupe Disappointment is experienced privately instead of publicly....

Ah, thanks for the pointer. I'd been operating under the assumption that the Sift looked at titles too, so I never bothered tagging anything in the titles. Next time! ;

I don't like the stuff they do with fast-food. But the "TurbaconEpic Thanksgiving" was well... epic. And not in the new-age internet sense. I mean it truly, truly was skillful, innovative, Greek tragedy-style EPIC.

Also, people who put ketchup or any sort of BBQ sauce on meatloaf should be burned alive and served to me as ketchup-free meatloaf with gravy and mashed potatoes.
