I found this impressive. I mean kids today dont have the attention span to do anything productive for more than 10 minutes. Making replicas at his age may seem stupid but hell i couldnt of done it. I would have difficulty now. He is probably going to grow up to be an badass engineer but i guess that wont stop the kids at school from beating up on him, its unfortunate.

how dose locking this guy up help ore change anything ? yah its bad people died and yah its bad some girl got messed up. but at the same time the guy who was drunk from what i can gather wasn't a repeat offender how dose locking him up improve the situation at all? the only thing you can relay argue is it survs as an example to other people whoever thats slightly flawed because in this case it seems that the guy was probably drunk when he made the desisoin to get in his car and so was unable to make a decent desicoin.

the solution is to have a mandatory 10 year ban if you are in a car and u fail an alchole test. if you repeat offend then u r pertinently band and face a large time of community service.

the whole idea of locking people up as some kind of punishment to some how get back at people who died is so stupid. only time you should lock a person up is if thay are a danger to society (ie repeat offending wont stop regardless of help ) . all the other people should have to do a combination of jobs and get help geting there lives back on track.

That's assuming that people want to stop working. Unemployment is at an all time low. Stopping everything for a day will only hurt the economy and thus harm the consumer. Making a few people "suffer" a day without eating at a restaurant will mean jackshit to the billions of dollars in lost productivity and exploding inflation caused by the fallout of such action. It would only hurt the working people.

In sum it's ridiculous and an all around short sighted reaction to a disapproval of current administration. I for one would welcome the opportunity to take in the thousands of dollars up for grabs if such a thing were to take place. People wont stop looking for services. Especially when there is limited supply.

The problem with these is that kevlar wont stop such rounds. Even soldiers are warned to be careful what they're shooting at with .50 cals (referring to Mark Bowden's book on the battle in Mogadishu regarding civilian areas), as they will continue on through wall after wall. These are incredible powerful light arms.

But quite right Fletch, you dont need a big one like this to beat body armour. Even 7.62mm rounds will break most vests (except the modern gear, I think).
