😂 😂 😂 The convicted felon, business fraud, and rapist is now saying he plans to lose the debate so when he loses “bigly” you will believe it’s intentional and not full blown dementia….but it’s demented to try to lose so six of one, half a dozen of the other. Can’t wait! Only two more weeks of excuses. What will you do when he literally shits his diaper and goes full blown sundown dementia on live TV? 😂 😂 😂
The batshit insanity, constant criminality, and brainless infantilism of MAGA is driving away not only independents but even Republicans (now labeled RINOS for sticking to their ideals and not abandoning reason and morality for a felon). Another red tsunami incoming.

The convict had a meeting with 80 Maga supporting “business leaders” yesterday and it was another disaster…the Trump backing business owners came out of the meeting saying he couldn’t stay on topic at all, couldn’t form one complete sentence, couldn’t explain his own plans beyond basic prepared talking points, was rambling and “meandering” worse than they claim Biden does (they say it, but without any unedited evidence), and one short meeting has changed their minds about supporting him. Doesn’t bode well for the debate.

On flag day, President Biden paid homage to the American flag and pledged his allegiance to the American flag. The convicted felon desecrated tens of thousands of (Chinese made) American flags by pasting his face and name and mugshot on them, had his people desecrate more by wearing them as clothing, had his people sing the Jan 6 anthem by the prison choir while pledged allegiance to them. WTF!?

Oh…BTW…Ukraine and the US just signed the bilateral agreement, guaranteeing Ukraine the arms they need to win the war against Russia, and to hit them back just as hard and put them in the Stone Age if necessary. Sorry Charlie, Democracy wins again over fascism and despotism.
This replaces the ignored trilateral agreement of 94 and supplies them with hundreds of millions in weaponry including multiple squadrons of F-16s. Russia cannot defend against that, and is going to lose everything it stole and then some. Expect a free Crimea.

PS- Larry Hogan in Maryland, who was ostracized by the RNC and told no one should vote for him by the RNC and Trump because he said Americans should respect the rule of law just REJECTED the Trump endorsement he just received.
Yes, in order to have even a slim chance of winning right wing candidates must now REJECT Trump. Enjoy.

It’s ok, you can cry….I know you want to.

Really enjoyed watching Fire of Love a few months ago. Will give the Herzog homage to the Kraffts a watch next weekend.

Elon Musk: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

newtboy jokingly says...

I just mean isn’t a prerequisite for any cartoonish supervillain to have a white fluffy lap companion in homage to Ernst Stavro Blofield?
Hank Scorpio being the exception that proves the rule.

for a mini Musk? Hmm... now that I think about it, his ego wouldn't even allow mini Musk to share some of the spotlight.

They need to switch the slogan to "Make America Straight Again." It would have a secondary, racist meaning too! (Sound it out)

Republicans are going to get even fatter if they can't have light beer any more.

Upvote for the office space homage.
(I did notice the regular cans he destroyed weren't the special rainbow bottle/cans.)

Of Course I'm Trying To Indoctrinate You In My Beliefs

shinyblurry says...

The establishment clause was put into the constitution because of the church of England. This is why many people fled from England to America, because of religious persecution. It was to prevent a state religion, and by religion we aren't talking about Christianity versus Islam, we are talking about different Christian denominations.

Look at what George Washington said in his inaugural address:

"Such being the impressions under which I have, in obedience to the public summons, repaired to the present station; it would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official Act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the Universe, who presides in the Councils of Nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that his benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the People of the United States, a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes: and may enable every instrument employed in its administration to execute with success, the functions allotted to his charge. In tendering this homage to the Great Author of every public and private good I assure myself that it expresses your sentiments not less than my own; nor those of my fellow-citizens at large, less than either. No People can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand, which conducts the Affairs of men more than the People of the United States. Every step, by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation, seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency. And in the important revolution just accomplished in the system of their United Government, the tranquil deliberations and voluntary consent of so many distinct communities, from which the event has resulted, cannot be compared with the means by which most Governments have been established, without some return of pious gratitude along with an humble anticipation of the future blessings which the past seem to presage. These reflections, arising out of the present crisis, have forced themselves too strongly on my mind to be suppressed. You will join with me I trust in thinking, that there are none under the influence of which, the proceedings of a new and free Government can more auspiciously commence."

Christian Right = Daesh for fake Christians (fans of, but not students of Jesus)

America was founded on the notion that religious laws have no place in public government or law and religious freedom is a basic tenant of our system. That makes what this idiot advocates about as unAmerican as could be.

This is part of why the right defunds education....history doesn't support their claims or plans, so they believe it shouldn't be taught.

The First 6 Missions | Season 1 | THE ORVILLE

Phreezdryd says...

Wow, this promo makes the show look decent, but what's completely missing are the "MacFarlane-y" bits that turn it into a cheesy hybrid of some kind. If you thought how they went about infiltrating the Krill was dumb, then maybe you haven't seen episode 7.

"Majority Rule" feels like a Black Mirror homage/ripoff, and the situation they get themselves into was painful to watch. Not wasting my time on this anymore.

The First 6 Missions | Season 1 | THE ORVILLE

MilkmanDan says...

I love the show overall. Krill bothered me a little bit though, because it felt a bit too MacFarlane-y to me.

Taking The Orville as an homage to Trek (TNG specifically?), it struck me that any Trek character that would be asked to infiltrate a hostile alien group would take that task very very seriously. They'd learn enough culture / language / etc. to pass cursory examination, and they'd know to limit attention being placed on them as much as possible. That's just sort of taking your fiction/material seriously.

The Orville's (Captain!) Mercer and Malloy were basically just screwing around on their infiltration mission though. They knew very little going in, which is somewhat excusable since in there is solid story justification for it in that they are doing very early recon because humans in general know very little about the Krill. BUT, if that is the case then it would be doubly important to just try to fade into the background and not draw attention, and they didn't really do that at all. Long, "funny" answers to questions instead of being terse, not trying to blend in behavior-wise, etc.

I don't mind MacFarlane's humor, and even think that it adds a little something that is very often lacking in Trek. But only when it is story-appropriate, and it kind of jarred me out of the moment on that particular episode. It was still an OK episode, but that just hurt the immersion for me, I guess.

ORVILLE S1E3: The Crew Preps For A Wild Wild West Showdown

Drachen_Jager says...

You keep posting these, Ant.

I don't get the appeal. It's not funny enough to be a parody, but it's not unique enough to stand as an homage or a furthering of the Star Trek idea. The Orville is just hack writing, cutting as close to the copyright law as they can sneak without getting sued (they hope).
