Maui Is On Fire

Richard Olsten, the owner and operator of Air Maui Helicopter Tours, shared devastating and heartbreaking daylight images showing the extent of devastation caused by a wildfire in Lahaina town.

Good parenting

bobknight33 says...

Love how you blame everyone else but these kids parents.

I've just gleaned the YT comments no raciest statements. I see 1 ifffy statement .

This is heartbreaking to think these babies are part of our futures. This is depressing to see how these babies are allowed to talk and act towards adults/authority.

The child is just imitating what he sees around him and acts out.

Just think one of us will be privileged enough to be robbed and murder by these future criminals. Thank you greatest ally!

Dangerous even when young.

Instead of preschool, they should be in pre-jail.

They'll grow up to be very productive citizens I'm sure.

If you think this is bad you should see how they talk to females.

Lord have mercy on our souls! These children are barely school age where are their parents or guardian?

Jaw dropping. While there is very little speaking this video says so much! You have to wonder what kind of nightmare their lives are.

Kid's got a bright future.

That child is an innocent soul, ready to soak-up like a sponge whatever is taught to him; if it's loving kindness or hateful abuse, he will show the world what he's learned. Parents must be proud to have put this innocent human on a path that will surely ruin him.

But as narrow minded as you are...Im sure you will single this out..

I'm baffeled as to why people insist these creatures can live on equal terms with humans.

100 comments and 1 or 2 bad and you little racist mind blankets all comments.

Sad you you see only bad. Most likely a result of bad parenting .

You should try online therapy . You really need help

Yeah, @bobknight33. Not surprised you post this. I went to the YT page and read the comments from your “alpha news” cohorts….pretty ugly blatantly racist stuff, buddy. Bad enough I’m shocked YT hasn’t suspended the channel.
I can only guess what you were searching for when you found this.

Your people, saying we are a different species…calling people “human” in quotation marks and laughing.
You are a real, racist piece of work, pal. You are so racist, you don’t think calling people subhuman, non human, or saying directly “there’s an N problem” is noticeable or remarkable, that’s everyday normal conversation to you.

I’m 99.96% certain this is how you wish your children reacted to liberals.

Jesus fuck….you really love to make yourself despicable, don’t you.

Calling all sifters to downvote this racist post into oblivion ASAP.

Trump’s Loyalties

surfingyt says...

trump salute NK generals like a cuck. putin emboldened by watching cuck trump. republicants can cuck on this: Biden has completely outsmarted putin. undercut every pretext putin had to justify an invasion, leaving the world, and especially russian people, without any plausible explanation for invasion AND biden unified democratic allies to support ukraine’s defense and russia sanctions.

putin started playing checkers and biden turned it into a game of chess. this wont end well for putin and, unfortunately, russian population.

the scenes from ukraine are heartbreaking

Lol.
Responded to the invasion with a training exercise nearby. I forgot what a strong military response Trump had, showed real strength. Putin must have been terrified.

An even bigger response than when the report on Malaysia flight 17 came out in 2018 proving Russian military used a Russian missile to shoot down a commercial airliner. Trump-*crickets*

Summer of Soul - 2021

Nina. Fucking. Simone. There were some incredible artists during that time and then there was Nina Simone. Everything about her was amazing, from her childhood through the end of her career.

She sang this song -- totally new -- when MLK was killed. It is absolutely heartbreaking:

The calm of pilots during situations that would cause normal people to shit their pants is amazing. One of the most chilling and heartbreaking ATC conversations I ever heard was from the pilot of a PSA heavy immediately after a mid-air collision. His jet was doomed, and when he made transmission, it was nose down and screaming towards earth. He simply said:
"Call the equipment."

My youngest son lives a couple of miles from Bemidji along with my 6th grandchild, a girl. Drove up there about a month ago to see her for the first time in person. She is almost 2 years old. It was great to see her but with the pandemic it was a little heartbreaking because I couldn't hold her or squeeze her little feet.

I've been to Bemidji a few times. I used to do Over The Road Vehicle Testing for a company that is owned by Jack Roush back in 2013. One of the offices is at the Bemidji airport. We would drive the vehicle from Florida to that office for more testing in the cold environment then fly back to Florida after drop off. Sometimes we would have to drive another car back.

I loved that job. Got to see a lot of the country with that one, all expenses paid.

I'm Minnesotan. We have a weird collective tendency to say something bland but genial in place of blunt honesty (aka
"Minnesota nice"), and inserting a bit of subtle sarcasm is an informal pastime. I've had literal decades of practice, though it feels subtlety has become rather pointless of late.

Michael Moore Presents: Planet of the Humans

cloudballoon says...

I think Bill Maher is with you on this. Not in advocating population control, but at least to not have offspring.

Population Control is just a nightmare on so many levels. The heartbreaks and gender imbalance introduced by China is devastating.

Most governments (and thus its people) are conditioned to think free-market capitalism is the only future. Economic growth is the only way forward. it's all about Growth, Growth, Growth. Never about the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and "Waste Not, Want Not" kind of life practice.

It can only be down to the individuals to do what's right. I don't hold my breath waiting for government or society-wide action.

newtboy said:

Way too long, didn't watch, but I must disagree with the description.
Population control is hardly removed from the debate. IMO it's just ignored when it's brought up because the vast majority of people won't even consider not having children to the point where when China tried to take action and limit couples to one child the world called them draconian monsters instead of intelligent.
I personally often say I think every problem facing humanity and the planet is a function of overpopulation, and I'm not alone. I admit, I'm rare in that I put my money where my mouth is and had a vasectomy in my twenties before having children. I'm of the belief that no other action could possibly have the positive effect that not adding to the population does, but I also bought a full solar system over a decade back and try to grow most of my own food, and I drive well under 5000 miles a year.
There's no reason to abandon population control in favor of technological fixes or vice versa, indeed I believe maximising both won't fully solve our issues that have taken over a century to create, but I also believe not acting in every way possible to mitigate our damages leads to certain doom for most species.
I also think none of this will make a whit of difference in the grand scheme because way too many people have decided making any lifestyle sacrifices or not wastefully living above their means is intolerable even if it means their children suffer for it.

Disney's Mulan - Official Teaser

lucky760 says...

I don't know who Halle Bailey is, but I'll be happy if she can sing. I get the disappointment if people feel this was supposed to be Disney's ginger princess and would be unhappy if any non-redhead was cast.

The most heartbreaking remake for me was Beauty and the Beast. I love the original and I've seen it many dozens of times in the last 20 years, and it wrecked me when I watched it full of Emma Watson's badly auto-tuned robotic singing... hurts me now even just describing it.

That quote at 2:47 is heartbreaking.

"It's been happening everywhere. I felt, I've always felt like eventually it was going to happen here too."

This deserves more attention. (But it shouldn't be in the 'kids' channel. That's for Saturday morning cartoons and things for children to watch. No child should have to watch---or endure---anything like this.)

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - You Got Lucky

radx says...

Ian Welsh reminds us of a quote by Mark Twain:

There were two ‘Reigns of Terror’, if we could but remember and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passions, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon a thousand persons, the other upon a hundred million; but our shudders are all for the horrors of the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty and heartbreak? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief terror that we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror – that unspeakable bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

Democrats are in deep trouble - even if Hillary Clinton wins

iaui says...

I understand your ire. I was (and am) a big fan of Bernie's. He's a wonderful man with a rich history of working to make your country better. To see him lose in that way was truly heartbreaking.

He also understands the significance of the upcoming election now and urges you to vote because he knows that if you choose to say 'fuck 'em' to the Democrats they are not the only people who are going to get fucked.

Bernie is a good man, working in the system from the right side.

Stormsinger said:

They didn't want our votes this summer...they made that clear with their voter suppression. Now I say, fuck 'em. I no longer support either of the corporate parties, nor any of their candidates. That will hold true as long as they stay corporate.
