The actual number is 40-<60% of those convicted of illegal shootings admit they used illegally obtained guns, the number varying by state, higher where laws deny violent convicts the right to own them, lower when they can. Since most americans aren't members, actually the NRA gave a pitch to prospective sponsors in which it said that about half of its then-4 million members were the “most active and interested.” (the other 2 million are often dead members, ex members, or those given free but unwanted memberships with a purchase) so there MAY be 2 million, but that's likely still a massive overestimate, meaning using their own numbers, active NRA members are far more likely than the average person to murder with a gun IF your 1% guess is right (and there's absolutely no way to know, those statistics aren't kept).

This video really does sum up my feelings about Season 8.

I was mostly okay with the first half of Season 8 and could even give the writers a pass for only spending one episode on the battle of Winterfell and the Night King's destruction but...everything after that? Complete shit. I mean, Rhaegal getting shot not once, but twice, by scorpions from the "hidden" Iron Fleet, from what looked like a million miles away, was utter nonsense and only done for shock value. Unlike when the Night King killed Viserion, which was actually moving, Rhaegal's death was pointless and made no sense. For one, how could Dany not see all those ships from up there? Furthermore, it'd be ridiculously hard to hit a fly target, twice in a row, from that distance. Ugh.

The biggest misstep in my opinion was turning Dany into a villain. Her character was one of the more interesting of the series as she went from being a naïve slave, to a fighter, a mother, and ultimately became a champion of the people. She was a strong female character with mostly good, if somewhat flawed, intentions. While her drive to claim the Iron Throne and unite Westeros could be seen as warmongering, she certainly didn't deserve to be portrayed as a mad tyrant. That just seemed forced.

Then we have: Bran the Broken and Jon's banishment to the Night's Watch. What the hell? Everything in the finale seemed so forced and discarded a lot character development established in previous seasons. The last two episodes of season 8 were just really disappointing.

The command should have been to move away from the gun, which seemed to be in the door pocket from this view, or maybe his inside jacket pocket.
It wasn't in his hand until he followed their command...they shot because it was in his hand. That's murder.
This is why cops get shot doing traffic stops, self defense. If you're black and armed, legally or not, shoot first and claim self defense. It's much easier to get out of prison than the morgue, and get just one person like me on the jury and you'll never be convicted.

I had the same treatment except the gun was to my head, and I was thrown to the concrete and jumped on, all while complying with commands, all because a dumb cop read my license plate wrong.

Are the taxpayers going to be stuck with paying for a new enforcement authority or are we going to stick the duty on the police? If you run from the police and get shot in the back, they're in the wrong far more than you, even if you're armed.
Police may only legally use deadly force if their life or others are in imminent danger if they don't. A fleeing suspect doesn't come close unless they're actively pointing their gun at someone.
"Stop or I'll shoot" is not a policy, it's supposed to be an empty threat (or a line in a movie). If you're dumb enough to excuse them following through on that threat, you're part of the problem.
Fleeing arrest is not a capital crime allowing police to become judge, jury, and executioner.
