No one got hurt, not "no one was in danger". That thing ripped THROUGH a bedroom, bounced across the street, and hit another house and a van. Plenty of danger there, everyone just got lucky.
edit: I do hope this doesn't adversely impact the show, though. Not trying to come off holier than thou

I hope they air this episode and the accident!!!

They could turn it into a full hour special showing you the dangers of owning and firing a ballistic cannon that has typical velocities past 1000 ft/s!

The Real News really makes the TV news look like cartoon news for 5 year olds. And Republicans.

True, but I fear for their future. With these recent donations drive additions to their videos I'm thinking they are having a hard time with funding. I'm going to donate again, and hopefully it won't be a futile one.
They have so much insightful information on many US and foreign events, and they are only getting started. Eventually they are going to have a full hour news broadcast and many other programming if they succeed.

One beautiful Sunday morning, a priest announced to his congregation: "My good people, I have here in my hands three sermons...a $100 sermon that lasts five minutes, a $50 sermon that lasts fifteen minutes, and a $10 sermon that lasts a full hour. "Now, we'll take the collection and see which one I'll deliver."

Yet another reason why I don't give a cent to anyone in the office/cubicle - especially if they are able bodied.

Most of what people in the white collar world do is non-productive, why is freelancing an equally unproductive activity such an issue for people?

Begging is a job, and unless you are young and female, it's not nearly as lucrative as shown here. She has turned her young-femaleness into a good paying job without having to be sexually objectified in the process, good for her. If people are willing to pay her for the egoboo of "doing good" then she s providing a service, and like many services, deception is part of the product.

I never made more then $10 a day when panning, and as for labor ready, the tag line should read "come sit in the office for a week waiting for a job until you get on the staffs good side and then they might give you a job, which they will attempt not to pay you for your full hours, then you can use their "cash machine" which takes a cut of your measly check!"

Very sad story

Reminds me of this:
One day there was this preacher and he was having his usual sermon when all of a sudden it started raining, really, really, hard!!!! After about 1 full hour of complete non-stop rain, they started making evacuations because the whole church was flooding, but the preacher just stood there in the ankle-deep water. A guy in a car came up to him and said. "Preacher, Preacher you better get in here before you drown!" But the preacher just replied "Don't worry God will save me." The man then said "Whatever!" and drove away. The water was now knee-deep and a guy in a raft came over to the Preacher and said "Preacher, Preacher you better get in here before you drown!" Despite the second warning the Preacher just stood there and replied "Don't worry God will save me." The man then said "Whatever!!" and rowed away in the orange raft.

The water was now waist-deep and a guy in a power boat came to the Preacher and said "Preacher, Preacher you better get in here before you drown!" Despite the third warning the Preacher just stood there and replied "Don't worry God will save me." With that the man said "Whatever!" and jetted away in the power boat. The water was now neck-deep and a guy in a helicopter came and said "Preacher, Preacher you better get your butt in here before you drown!" The man still just stood there and replied "Don't worry God will save me." And with that the man said "Whatever" and flew away. The water then got so deep that the Preacher was sucked under and died. When he opened his eyes he noticed that he was in heaven. He then saw God and asked "God! Why didn't you save me from that horrible flood?!?" God then replied, " I sent you a car, a raft, a power boat, and a helicopter!!! What else do you want from me?!"

Response to: "Atheists have faith, just like theists."

SHOCKER: Rude Fox News Interview w/ Naomi Wolfe

MaxWilder says...

This is standard fare from Faux News. Anybody doing an interview has to be prepared with short, simple, insultingly obvious replies to anything the incompetant interviewer has to ask. Naomi's points are clearly too deep and thought provoking to be fully expressed in a five minute interview. She was not prepared, and should not have been there. A book like that needs a good half-hour or even a full hour dedicated to exploring the book's merits or flaws.

And Bill, the most patriotic thing you can do for your country is stand up and say "no" when you see things going in the wrong direction. When you badmouth somebody who is trying to open people's eyes to the truth, that's America bashing. You are bashing it right into the dark ages.
