Except for adding the dextrose, it's pretty similar to how I cook potato chips. Each of the four main steps makes the end result better, but I usually omit the frozen stage (freezing reduces the water content a bit).

Ya, I think the whole schoolyard bully angle is the right way to deflect this commercial.
The problem is wondering if that's what they want us to do. As a parent, I'd want to comment to my child about the bullying aspect and discuss it, but in doing so, I've played right into their hands and am now discussing a McDonald's commercial with my child, impregnating the french fries into our sub-conscious.

The joke's on them though, I'd go to Burger King!
Actually, no, I go to this new place that just opened up called "Five Guys Burgers & Fries."
All hamburgers are double pattied and $3 gets you enough fresh cut fries to feed a family of four. And while you wait for your meal, non stop, all you can eat, salted peanuts in the shell. YUM!

As for French its anything at all to do with France or French culture and language. Really something like French frys which were not created in France but has the name French is the most debatable to me. As far as videos or other works go it can be anything. If the plot of the film is French or the movie was made in France or even if the video has one French word its acceptable to me. Even if the film is not in French and does not take place or have anything to do with France or French culture but the crew are all French or especially the writer is French I see that as acceptable due to the French influence that they are sure to put into the work.

Rights, to me, are a bit more than saying someone has a right to apply to any school they damn well please to apply for. If it's public then that's one thing, but if they're private and not enjoying government subsidies then they should have the right to only accept submissions from french fries if that's what they so choose.
Gaining access to private schools isn't a right any more than me gaining access to your home.
