Nope, first thing that ran through my head when I saw it was the theme to Firefly. And while I do think it's a cool design I would hardly say that like nothing ever seen before, this degree of over-hype always worries me a little.

Uhm, am I the only one who thinks it looks a bit like a bigger version of the Firefly class ship Serenity from the movie of the same name? Okay, maybe he hasn't seen it

Resurrection was especially disappointing because it was a screenplay written by Joss Whedon and directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It was supposed to restore our faith in the franchise. Amelie and Firefly made up for it and more, but I still wake up in the middle of the night sobbing.

What s/he said. Whedon is an ace writer, and not just for films (read The Astonishing X-Men for example).

I think they were trying to make it sound like the stuff they usually have to play when they're playing in a group of people. They only hear their parts when they practice so they're not looking at the entire finished product.

In retrospect, Rufus T. Firefly seems like a decent head of state.

And the Science Channel now shows a lot of Firefly. Love Firefly, but really, Science Channel? At least when they gave up on Discovery Kids, and Hasbro bought in, they changed the name to the Hub instead of "Discovering" old episodes of "Jem and the Holograms".

Am I the only one who thought "Firefly" at the first shot of that ship?

I think we all remember the time we first realised we were totally gay for Nathan Fillion. S01E01 of Firefly.
