Dendy: Russia's Fake Nintendo Console
Ehh... the first part of the video is solid, talking about the history of the Dendy. Cool. But he claims towards the beginning that he "bought one specifically for this video," and that's clearly not the case. All he gets is a generic emulator console that has Dendy and Genesis games. I'd have been way more interested in what an actual Dendy was like to use, and how it compares to an NES or Famicom.

Ragtime Super Mario Bros (Sight reading)
Just a note for the tags: this music is originally from Super Mario World for the SNES/Super Famicom, not Mario Paint (although it might have appeared in that too--never purchased Mario Paint). You can hear the original here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7UqfczyR-4
All Your History Belong to Us - Metroid Part 2: Super Hero
>> ^budzos:
I didn't have Nintendo when I was young so I wasn't into their games.
It's a guy giving significant video review/coverage of every single famicom released, in chronological order. After 39 episodes averaging an hour in length he's just gotten through December 1988.
It's on Youtube now but the first couple dozen episodes are only on archive.org.

Great series, this. Ant, you seem pretty into this shit. You watch Chrontendo?
Nope, where is that? I just like watching video and computer game documentaries even if I am not into those game series.
Cool! http://chrontendo.blogspot.com ... Hey, you should submit the videos to VS.

Angry Video Game Nerd - Star Wars Games
His reaction to the famicom game was perfect. I think I pulled that same face watching it.
Super Mario 2 theme on two guitars (so awesome)
^That is interesting since it almost isn't a Mario game. In fact, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Advance says,
"SMB2 did not begin life as a Mario title; instead, it is a remake of the Japanese Famicom Disk System title Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic (DDP). Nintendo's own sequel to Super Mario Bros. was released in Japan as "Super Mario Bros. 2" in 1986. However, because of that game's extreme difficulty and its close similarity to the original game, Nintendo decided not to release it to the western world at that time, instead releasing DDP with Mario characters under the "Super Mario Bros. 2" label.
...Because it was not originally a Mario title, this game differs greatly from the original Super Mario Bros."
It is a great game, though.
P.S. Hmmmmm...not talented enough to do it on one guitar, eh? Pity.
No, I'm kidding. That was cool. I always thought that song was catchy as a kid.

Super Mario Bros.
From comments if correct..
"Actually thats the japanese minus world. The FDS has a different Minus world to NES. Famicom Disk version of SMB, the World -1 is a swimming version of World 1-3. World -2 is exactly like World 7-3, except beating the level takes you to -3."
Mario & Zelda live - 1h55 of pure nerd music

The ORIGINAL Super MARIO Commercial (And Kung fu too!)
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Hmmm, not sure about the title for this one. I was expecting a prototype Playstation. This is just an original nintendo (famicom).
On a sidenote, I fee like I've known Mario most of my life. Donkey Kong was huge for me when I was 14, then remember the original Mario Bros. (the simple platform game, not the Super Mario Bros.) then of course all of the Super ones.
Super Mario Bros (original) Completed in 5 Minutes
Thanks! In that case, the original video can be found on the following site, under the list of "NES\Famicom" titles:
http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/
One item of note is that everything in the video is technically possible within the original game engine. The pixel-perfect movement that is essentially only achievable by use of an emulator allows the runner to exploit glitches in the game's collision detection and other code that would not otherwise be possible.
