Moore Debates Gupta - July 10th/07
Moore did pretty well here until the question on the heart catheters. He simply dodged that question as far as I'm concerned. Although I ultimately support single-payer healthcare, wait times are big problem with those systems. No one who has lived with the excruciating pain of a severely herniated disk or broken hip should have to wait a year for surgery. And a six day wait for an emergent heart procedure is inexcusable.
It may be worth it in the end for moral--and economic--reasons to nationalize the US healthcare system. I believe it is. But as the economists are fond of telling us, "There is no such thing as a free lunch."
Monty Python Flying Circus - Parrot Sketch (Best Sketch Ever!)
Like all python skits this is excruciatingly unfunny. It's like having a root canal without anaesthetic, only without all the ensuing hilarity.
Joe Theismann's Career Ending Injury
I saw this live. It was excruciating to watch. Look at Lawrence Taylor's reaction. Bad mojo that night, man.
8-year-old rocks the f*** out on Guitar Hero II, "Dead!"
hey, are there any real guitar players out there who dig this game???....'Cause it is tricky hard to watch someone doing this.....I mean as in excruciating. Some of the most non-compelling activity in a video game ever seen by meem, but then again, weaning came on a real guitar for meem.....at least that dancing game gets you kiddies off their fat asses!!!
This kid'll grow up with a mullet and a dream.....
Don Frye vs. Yoshihiro Takayama
Great Post!
In my old neighborhood (Yoyogi-Uehara, Tokyo) Yoshihiro Takayama just lived down the street from me. The first time I saw him I had no idea who he was (I'm not a big fight fan), but I did think "WOW, that guy is huge!!!". Finally, my girlfriend saw him and told me who he was. He would walk around the neighborhood, especially to and from 7-11. He seemed like a nice guy he would smile and say "good morning" or "Hi" if he saw me or other locals.
However, he is in a horrible condition! He can barely walk, he limps along and grimaces from pain. Everything on his body seems to move slowly. I saw him get into a car one time, it obviously was excruciatingly painful for him to bend and twist to get into the car. I can't imagine what he must do to get ready for a fight. He must load every inch of his body with Cortisone just to get through the fight. I really felt sorry for him.
Happy St. Patrick's Day Asshole
Make that last sifter who commented, sifter president, he's got the vote on this end!
3 Cheers, mate and more rigorous driving standards for all whose life has been placed in jeopardy, and for those who place the same cherished commodity in as such daily.
Choggie's perfect driving conditions?? More open road.
Hence, less drivers. Thus, the new black, is the worthy few, who must pass a driving course sure to shrink the nut-sacks and hairdo's of most wanna-bees...the others, who can afford to pay to drive or be driven, will be far the fuck out of my way!....(assuming choggie can stomach his own, excruciating standards...
Simon Amstell Interviews The Kooks (trust me)
I always liked his interviews on Popworld. He really did like to go for the excruciating.
I recall that his Girls Aloud interview went slightly awry, might be worth posting if you can dig it up.
Slow? (Sift Talk Post)
well, i tried something and this could be it... i've always had noScript block google-analytics. i unblocked it when i became a charter member, just cause. i dunno... but the site became so excruciatingly slow that it took more than mere seconds to load the page, let alone a video. i blocked it again, and viola, it's back to good ol' speedy VS.
i can't say that it's the entire problem, nor really the problem at all. i hate to somewhat promote the blocking of a service that VS uses (presumably to track traffic on the site), but it sure sped things up for me.
Another Reason Why Guns Should Not Be Given To Idiots...
At least it's only a 10 second video! I find watching idiots for more than 10 seconds really excruciating.
