oh geez...he only did that ONE TIME! America is already tired of hearing about that... /s

is that the 'fake news' referred to, Ivan?

hadn't heard that the shooter was a Kool-Aid drinker (source?) but did hear that the attack was in a neighborhood with a vastly Hispanic/Asian populace.

so why the inference of 'lefty-ism'? NY? black? if so, shouldn't that be offset by being a mass shooter?

anyway check out this picture at this site... https://www.curbed.com/2022/04/francisco-puebla-subway-suspect-frank-james.html
..seems that hero's 'salute' is more American than this...

At least he has yet to shoot up people on a NY subway. Why is it that leftest (𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩) see everything as racist? So narrow minded (𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬-𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙) . When you see a white man walking a black dog you see it as racist. Nothing racist in yesterdays (𝙮𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮'𝙨) NY subway shooting. Just a radical leftest (𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩) drinking the fake news Kool Aid (𝙆𝙤𝙤𝙡-𝘼𝙞𝙙).

Homelessness: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

newtboy says...

Of course that goes for drinkers too, right?! Alcohol is one of the most destructive drugs of choice.

I’ve smoked an oz of marijuana a week for over 38 years, I’ve never been homeless, I own my home outright and have zero debt. Think again.

True psychological (not physical) drug addiction is a recognized disease caused by the structure of your brain, not a choice.
Physical addiction is far from a choice. Many if not most opioid addicts started with legitimate pain medications and became physically addicted, then turned to illicit drugs when their prescription ran out to avoid withdrawals.

Wrong on all counts, TT (Bob). Being wrong 99.99% of the time is a choice. So is being a douche.

Blaming Mountain Dew drinkers as radicals.
Brilliant logic buddy.

Nope. We have folks that believe in the Constitution and see it being ignored by 1/2 people and the Democratic party is right there trying to tear it down. Flaws and all, this is still the greatest country in the world and your side wants to destroy it.

So when 1 proud American snaps, Its understandable, not tolerable and they should be punished.

When your side steps out, all is OK. They are advancing the cause. No punishment should be taken.

Lol. Math....not your friend. That's around .00013 people.

I would conservatively estimate in the U.S. around 1% (around 1,300,000) of self described "conservatives" fully support the multiple right wing terroristic murderers at least privately, and depending on how much mountain dew they've had, between .01 - .0001% (approximately 13000-130) are anxiously awaiting their opportunity to get away with being one.

Name the terroristic murdering lefties from the last year, please.

The Black Stuff

I will say, though, that for what pretty much amounts to an ad for the stuff, the pours are terrible. As an Irish Guinness drinker what he did to that poor pint around 2:57 made me physically wince.

Jim Jefferies Crazy Interview on Israeli Talk Show

wtfcaniuse says...

Yeah it's part of his comedy character now. He used to be a very heavy drinker during his shows and people began to like aspects of that so he adopted them whether he was really drunk or not.

He actually talks like this for his character but he may be a drinker too, he seems like a pretty intelligent guy from the one show I watched.

New Rule: Distinction Deniers

ChaosEngine says...

It's the "consent as a cup of tea" model.

If you ask someone if they want tea, and they do, give them tea.

If they change their mind after you've made the tea, they don't have to drink it.

If they start drinking the tea and decide they don't like this tea, don't force them to finish the cup.

Hell, if they are actually on their last sip and they don't want to swallow... they can spit it out. I mean, it's not very polite, and I'm not really sure why you'd suddenly decide you don't want tea at that point, but fundamentally it's still up to the tea drinker.

I'm uncertain about what exactly rape should be defined as, but, in spite of me feeling that what happened to me was an outcome I explicitly didn't want, at some point during the initial physical union of the male and female genitalia, permissions about what is suddenly okay or not okay with that intimate contact becomes EXTREMELY difficult to define. When two people seem to be working in tandem at that point, I assert that permission is intertwined and, as a result, confusing. (hence our debate)

What We Know about Pot in 2017

MilkmanDan says...

I had never heard it claimed that cigars pose less/different cancer risks than cigarettes.

Google search provides mixed (as you might expect) results.

Cancer.gov, the Mayo Clinic, and WebMD all seem to suggest that cigar smokers in general tend to have lower rates of lung cancer than cigarette smokers (because they generally don't inhale, which I didn't know), but higher than non-smokers. And they have comparable or possibly higher rates of other cancers (oral, esophageal ... pancreatic) as compared to cigarette smokers.

Several results suggest that there is less data about cigars, results aren't statistically significant, etc. etc. and that they believe that cigars are much safer than cigarettes, if not entirely safe. But frankly, the pages I see (in a cursory search that I don't really have a personal stake in) promoting that view don't seem as ... trustworthy to me as the Mayo Clinic, or Healthcare Triage videos like this one (that list references right in the video).

No holier-than-thou attitude intended. ...Although I can say that I'm personally very glad I never acquired a taste for tobacco products of any kind. And a very low interest in alcohol consumption -- I go months on up to a year+ between drinks of booze without ever missing it. I sometimes avoid social situations because of smoke, which I suppose is a downside. But on the other hand, I'm enough of an introvert that avoiding social situations is probably something I'd be doing anyway... So at the very least I have more money to waste on other things since I'm not a smoker or much of a drinker.

Are you sure you're not just bent because your orange R Kelly (the President Elect *Electorally.....or P.E.E.) is getting called out for what he is....a piss drinker and commie stooge?

bobknight33 said:

You just bent because you you team is finally getting called out for what they are. Biased and fake .

Look Fox is bias but the other promote FAKE news at any cost. to keep their team (democrats) in power.

If Trump ran as a democrat he still would have beat Hillary but there would be no Trump sex allegations and no Trump buss tape. It would not be published.

Grow up you lost and this Trump bashing will go on for 8 years. This fake news bashing will/ has occur for any republican president. The media is biased and pushes fake news.

Detroit Lt. Arrested For DUI

This isn't the first time and the dude blew a .28 after the ride to the station and going through booking. That isn't a typo, literally over 1/4 of the blood in his body was actually alcohol. Death from alcohol poisoning can occur at .37 or higher.

The scary thing is that his tolerance must be massive, because he was still somewhat capable of speech and movement. Usually .25 to .30 level drinkers display general inertia, near total loss of motor functions, little response to stimuli, inability to stand or walk, vomiting, and incontinence.

1974 - Suntory Whisky, 'Sammy Davis J

noims says...

For what it's worth, as an Irish whiskey drinker (in both senses of the phrase) I can tell you that the nicest whiskeys I've tasted from outside Ireland and Scotland are Japanese, including a Santori whose name eludes me.

In case you're interested, next comes Indian (a lovely tipple called Amrut Fusion), followed by a few nice American samples... I'm not a big fan of bourbon, hence the placing.

As for the spelling thing, yes, usually Whisky is Scotch and Whiskey is Irish, but that's not 100% true, and if that's your worst spelling mistake after a few then you're doing well.

So, what's the story with Japanese whiskey? I usually like my whiskey to come from Scotland, but Sammy makes me want to try the Japanese version.

Drunk Monkey Brandishing Huge Knife Terrorizes Bar

Consent is actually easy to understand, yeah?

Glad to know you know about women being too nice. And then there is the old canard "boys will be boys." I've been saying for years that we need to learn from each other. Men need to work on empathy and women need to work on straightforwardness.

This video isn't meant to rehash the past, though. It is a template for good hearted and well meaning tea drinkers to go into the future thinking about things differently.

Not all tea drinkers are well meaning, of course.

But first we need to define consent. Boys learn to ask and girls learn to speak up clearly.

And then practice practice practice, yeah?
