Harder Better Drunker Stronger
This is what the Daft Punk Girls video should not have been. And yet, it still works.
Nirvana vs. Daft Punk - Smells Stronger
Kurt Astley > Daft Punk Robogay.
TR2N Teaser
I'm hoping for the best, but reading the imdb tea leaves suggests some problems - too many writers and a huge question mark in the directors chair. Also, as much as I like Daft Punk, they don't have the chops to top Wendy/Walter Carlos' original score.

I thought this was too simple. Should remixed a little more of the daft punk song maybe played with some effects and synths...
I agree that the songs could have been mashed together even more, but the main thing that makes this work so well for me is that everything is in key, in tune, and timed really well. There are a few parts with an original flair that turned out totally badass, but yeah, it could have been done better.

Hmm.. Certainly works better than the anti-harmony of that other sift. I still feel as though it's lacking the more significant (and better) bits of the Daft song. Merely putting the "lyrical instruments" from one song into another doesn't automatically make that second song better. I just feel it was an unfair balance of the two pieces. Better than the weirdly-sounding sift, though, certainly.

Despite how often as you are apparently disappointed with other people's recommendations, I feel I must counter-share:

I feel as though both halves of this mashup contribute to each other in some meaningful way.

Just sifted a Nirvana mashup that actually works:

Not a fan of Nirvana, so this is a vast improvement. The tonality is a little off in places, but then Nirvana was never known for harmony. It is interesting to see how well they fit together, though.

Notice how the songs actually sound pleasing together. What a unique concept!

Music hating is just ugly. If you don't like pop music then don't listen to it. It's always been simple and more about catchiness than intelligent lyrics. Even the Beatles had retarded lyrics.
Also this particular song is so clearly just intented to be a good song to dance to that it would be kind of a waste to put more meaningful lyrics in it.
Somebody on digg.com mentioned Daft Punk's Around the World. Go hate on it.
All good points. This song is, however, terrible even for silly throw-away pop music.

ITT: People who bash/hate a group while promoting said group's video to promote awareness?
Welcome to irony.
have you actually watched the video that i promoted?
I did. Looks like another MTV-style teenie-bopper video. I just find it ironic you people go out of your way to demean this video instead of just ignoring it (which would let it die much quicker, something all of you apparently want).

I couldn't agree with you more, sir.

PSA's from the Future!
Judging just by her body at the start of the commercial, I'm pretty sure she's one of the two butterface, box-head girls dancing to Daft Punk's Better Harder Faster Stronger.
Man, she really hit the wall.
