Michael Cohen LIED AGAIN in TRUMP TRIAL says Ex-Lawyer

bobknight33 says...

I'm a loser in the eyes of leftest bigots. There are many on the sift. You being 1 of many.

That being said you can not deny what this guy said.
Can you deny that Cohen lied again under oath the other day.
The most important link to Trump was a recorded call, suspect as it is.

Cohen provided the date and time of this call any yet on Cross this lie was corrected. This "link" call was about a crank caller harassing Cohen and he asking Trumps bodyguard to take care of it.

Total fail that even CNN is WTF about this.

So If I am the piece of shit for pointing out truth, that has to make you a much lower commie turd. you and newt need to take you head out of you asses and start looking around.

If you loved the show "The Bear" *spoilers

My wife can't get pass this "Christmas dinner scene w/ mom" scene and so we stopped watching the show. The show got increasingly more chaotic and way too loud. The multi-directional conversations/screaming/yelling/smartass one-liners and worse of all, the "Yes. no......Yes... wait, wait... NO!" split second lines are too annoying (or cranked up to 12 if you prefer). My wife and I are too old for this.

I'm totally with you.

The Crank movies were great.

From time to time my wife and I will still reference that hilarious police sketch of him:

My most recent favorites were the two Crank movies. Utterly ridiculous constant action packed insanity. I like an action movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Oh, right, Wrath of Man. Totally forgot about that.

It's hard to keep track of stuff. There's just too much of it!

When I watched that, I thought it was an older movie I'd missed.

And I guess it was less of an ass-kicking movie and more of an ass-shooting movie.

I was riding the bus in Paris, and all the streets in Paris were designed for anorexic horses in the 17th century and fuck you for trying to fit your fat-ass 21st century car down them -- much less a huge city bus. So we're squeezing down this street and we come across a moving truck blocking the road. I, as an America, am awaiting horns, swearing and automatic weapon fire. Instead, the driver stops the bus, turns it off, hops off and goes and has a smoke. The people in the bus were being totally French about it: not a murmur of complaint.

Two years later, I was in Canada and some dude cut off a taxi at a light. Out hops the taxi driver to confront the driver of the other car. I start scanning for my exit once pop-pop-pop / muthafuckas drop gets underway. Instead of a spray of bullets, or at least an amusing fist fight, the taxi driver shakes his finger at the guy and gets back in his cab.

I live in mortal fear of getting shot on the road in America over some stupid bullshit (this actually happened to me once: some asshole in Cupertino cranked off three rounds at my car when I accidentally cut him off). It's so amazing to visit civilized countries and see people acting decent and calm to each other.

uhhhhh ... DUDE!

Oh man, this reminds me the people I use to sell quantities to. You'd go to these people's houses and half the time they were crank fiends and despite having all that extra go juice, their houses would look like the Paleozoic traveled through time and took a shit in their living room. They always had Pit Bulls, too.

I was so glad when I moved on to dealing coke and didn't have to deal with the kinda people who bought drugs anymore.

Rudy Giuliani's hair dye drips down his face

Now that we know he has COVID, maybe that was the fever literally cranking up the heat and making his hair dye run --well, that and the TV lights.

Chinese Bus Crashes Off Bridge

ForgedReality says...

Look at the driver video. He DELIBERATELY cranks the wheel to the left. She had already stopped her assault for a moment. He was not distracted at the time, there was nothing in front to avoid.

He was going straight, and then she goes out of view and he suddenly swerves left ON PURPOSE.

You can see from the other dashcam, that there are no vehicles ahead of the bus that he was trying to avoid.

I think he was trying to get her to fall down and stop attacking him when the bus hit the barrier. I don't think he was expecting to go over the side. He was hoping the bus would just crash and she would maybe be ejected through the windshield, but he 100% purposely crashed the vehicle.

CeramicSpeed 99% Efficient Drive Shaft // Chain Free Bike

newtboy says...

I thought this lends itself to a spring loaded spiral shaft automatic transmission, where the more torque applied, the more it compresses the spring towards the front crank, lowering the gear you're in. This could be adjustable, allowing a rider to select how hard they want to pedal and automatically adjusting the gears to keep that force stable at any speed.
A second gear in the rear, rotating in the opposite direction and sandwiching the drive gear, would go a long way towards stopping slippage and gear wear. They certainly need to ditch the aluminum gears, though.
Just what sprang to mind when I saw it.

I'm curious to see what mechanism they use to change gears.

What makes this song great? Nine Inch Nails

moonsammy says...

I'm certain I've heard this song at least 100 times as NIN has always been one of my favorites, and there were quite a few sounds in there which I'd never identified. Time to crank up a high quality version on some decent headphones...

I suppose you are already sufficiently disgusted with the healthcare system in the US, but here's a piece on the preauthorisation of new drugs and medical procedures. And oh boy, it's a doozy. I should have expected it to be set up this way, but I didn't guess. Need to crank my cynicism up to 12.

Edit: also, Ronan Farrow has a new piece out on Weinstein: Harvey Weinstein’s Army of Spies. Farrow's reporting on the issue has been nothing short of sublime. An absolute must-read if you're interested in the case.

Colbert To Trump: 'Doing Nothing Is Cowardice'

newtboy says...

Yes, definitely.

Ok, I didn't actually look at exactly what they're selling. In the past, I've seen trigger mods that acted like a bump stock, 'bouncing' your finger on the springy hair trigger but without the springy stock. I don't know what they were called. I've also seen a 'gatling' thing that lets you turn a crank to rapidly bump the trigger, also don't remember the name. I'm sure there are others. Simple solution, ban anything that simulates auto fire in any way.

Hmmmm. Under certain circumstances, your conviction can be vacated and your record can be completely expunged. A judge told my dad that you can legally answer no to those questions after that, and vote, own guns, travel, etc. I hope that wasn't a setup! ;-)

Side note, but you wouldn't normally keep thousands of rounds all loaded in extended mags....and this guy didn't pinch any pennies either.

scheherazade said:

Either way, he brought plenty more than needed.

I googled 'rapid fire triggers'.

Geissele, Timney, Hypertouch, these are all normal triggers.
They are premium offerings. Smooth, low grit, low creep, clean crisp break.
They don't actually have any function that artificially increases rate of fire.
The marketing can fool you if you don't know what they are.
(It's like buying a "no name mouse" vs a "gamer mouse". One feels better, but you still click just as fast.)

Tac Con 3MR does have its own gimmick. It does a partial reset on every fire. Your finger still has to move forward and back to fire again, so you're still limited by your reaction time. In reviews it's no different than a normal trigger rate of fire wise.

4473 just asks if you've ever been convicted of a felony that could (not did) have had a 1 year sentence. That's a pretty broad set.

AFAIK, they all screw your right to vote. I could be wrong.
