Kevin Pollack does an Amazing Christopher Walken Impression

artician says...

He does a LOT of good impressions. I remember his name from when I was younger, but I sadly didn't realize how talented he was until I saw him on Craig Ferguson a while ago. I ran around youtube looking for more of him afterward. He only does a few, but they're amazing.

I don't watch TV. I'll take on the occasional Conan clip when it's uploaded, because I find him amusing and I used to watch him when I was a kid. I will watch episodes of Craig Ferguson on youtube. I practically never see Leno, no that it has anything to do with his reputation in post-conan-latenight years.
But Jimmy Fallon.... Where did this guy come from and when did he get on the air? I know I've seen clips of his show for at least the last couple years, but other than the few I've seen online I don't know anything about him. The more important thing is, to me, that there's something about this guy that I can not stand.
I have this sense of hate toward this guy I know nothing about, and don't know what causes it. I don't even like Hate! I hate Hate! Still, what's the deal?

Jimmy Fallon was originally from SNL, he never was in many skits that I recall, he just mainly did the Weekend Update with Tina Fey

I feel the same way about Letterman and Leno. I don't know why, but they drive me bat shit mad when I watch them.

Fallon is an acquired taste, much like Conan. Fallon is a solid interviewer, if safe and middle-of-the-road.

Yet, Fallon will come out of nowhere with a Doors Reading Rainbow skit or a Eddie Vedder - Jeremy (Lin) skit and just blow my mind with his talent. Plus, he has The Roots as his in house band which is always a pleasure.

Craig Ferguson speaks on the Aurora Colorado shooting

artician says...

I love Craig Ferguson. Seems like a very good man.

The Colorado thing was terrible. Dude opened fire on a large number of people in an enclosed theater, suffocated them with tear gas, and killed as many as he could. That is very terrible thing.

I wish we could actually discuss the issues, instead of instantly condemning them. The immediate reaction by any media representative is "I can't understand why this happened". I don't feel like you can say that while living in a country that continues multiple wars on many innocents around it, or lets extremely, albeit nonviolent, dangerous criminals walk off scot-free with half the countries money, or has nearly-daily events like this occur in the same week.

It's just stupid to think people have no reason to go insane while living here. It's wrong to take out that insanity on innocent people, but you can't say you don't understand why it exists while wearing your horse-blinders during so many other atrocities.
