Actually... no. You probably didn't realize the small air holes that are already in the plastiglass for humidity issues. It is simply there to a) keep your grubby hands off the REAL glass protecting you from the outside elements, and b) smoothes out the internal lining because otherwise there would be a large cavity between the inner wall and outer glass. Leaving a shelf next to the social public leads to a lot of garbage being left on it to clean up later.

what you saw was a mesh with a skin shader rendering in real-time so that's how fast it renders. didn't look terribly hi-res, the real advancement here is the quality of the skin shader(for realtime) and the fidelity of the facial rig, having proper face target shapes all blending together to get complex movements with skin compression/stretching/wrinkling at this level have historically been out of reach for anything but pre-rendered cgi.

They can probably drop libraries of mocap data on this with face markers that match those manipulation points you see in the video, and animators can use them to animate, or clean up/change the motion capture data.

and the skin textures/pore detail/face model are not a technological achievement as much as the work of a skilled artist, and the deformations are the result of someone who really knows their anatomy.

since there is no animation in this video, no performance, it's hard to judge how realistic it feels. the real trick is always seeing it animated.

I had a mother and two cubs move into our back yard for a week.
We had apple trees and they refused to leave until they had stripped all the trees.

One option was call wildlife services, and they treat bears like this in one way. Bears that move into housed areas are not afraid of people so they are put down. I decided to wait them out and not call.

In the end we managed to get them to leave by shooting at them with a pellet gun. Of course their hide is too thick for it to harm them. The mother did nothing when we shot at her, but when we decided to shoot at the cubs, (threatening them) the mother screamed at them and then bolted with them, and they didn't come back

Thorium salt reactors do produce waste, but it's incredibly safe compared to breeder/lwr reactor byproducts. In fact, you can introduce older reactor waste in to the liquid mix in small amounts and the LFTR will break it down to less harmful components by accelerating decay in the core.

The complaint about public service is... odd. I actually thought that was awesome and then he played up that anti-Monarchy card, when the monarchy, as powerless as they really are, contribute millions (billions?) of pounds to their country from tourism alone. I think all people should do some sort of clean up public service. It's a fucking civic duty. I clean up after littering Pokemon Go players at my local park. No one fucking else will. or it takes a city clean up crew months or longer to make an impact on massively littered public places.

Maybe it's an American problem. No joke, I called up a volunteer group (most cities should have them) and volunteered to clean up that shit. Maybe if we had a danged queen (and her undies) or if Trump tweeted "proles AND rich fucks spend a day cleaning up" we'd make a societal impact, as lame as BOTH Trump's and the Queen's platforms are.

My father was a firefighter, so I always got this point hammered home.

I've only done this once. I will never do it again. In 1994, I turned 21. During my party, a friend brought both Weed and Jack Daniels. I partook of both heavily.

Puke glows oddly under blacklight, let me tell you. Anyhow, we all got cleaned up, I changed clothes, and then my future wife took me home. I went back a week later, after the shame had worn off a bit, to get my clothes. My friend had moved, his rented trailer was padlocked, and I never heard from him again.

I totally agree, we should always strive for perfection, but to me it's the priority that is important.

So when we strive for perfection, the priority would always be clean up the most damaging parts first.

I'm in no way implying that we shouldn't aim to reduce civilian casualties, but really trying to put things in perspective.

Nono, you gotta courtesy flush. That's where you flush right after finishing the excretion phase and before beginning the clean-up phase. It gets rid of a lot of the smell-causing material and the excretion isn't aerosolized because it's blocked by a large mass (at least in my case..)

Of course, the courtesy flush might just be deadly with a toilet like this but... y'know, you win some, you lose some.
