For your edification….disgraced Kari Lake was referred to the AZ AG for prosecution on 16 felony counts of copying and publicly posting signatures of 16 voters, in clear undeniable violation of election laws. (Also a form of doxing). A crime she has admitted on camera already….each one a class 6 felony. AZ 16-168 F

Bodycam Moment Deputy Suffers Panic Attack While Armed

newtboy says...

This is why it’s correct to say ALL cops are criminals.
The department didn’t do a background check or would have known he was fired twice.
The department never investigated this attempted murder by a cop.
The cop was never charged, not for attempted murder, not for filing false police reports, not for reckless endangerment, not even for lying on his application to be a police officer. He walked with the departments blessing.
He’s probably a cop somewhere today.

The cops charged the couple with class C felonies, lied about what had happened, and hid the officers actions until court where they were forced to provide evidence (which they likely tried to withhold), evidence that completely contradicted every claim they had made against the couple.
The DA went along with those false charges despite having this evidence.
They were held 42 days in the jail run by the same cops making up false charges before their court case was heard, not a maximum of 10 which is Tennessee state law.
If their lawyer hadn’t gotten the body cam footage, those innocent people would be spending 15 years in prison for crimes everyone involved knew were false charges based solely on the lying cop’s word and his superiors support….not one cop came forward to say so. Every single one was complicit.

Every cop is a violent thug that kidnaps and tortures the innocent, or one that stands between them and justice, protecting their criminal cohorts. Every single one, not one good apple in the country or they would stop their gang from being the worst violent murderous criminal gang in the country.

Proof you don’t need to “fuck around” with cops to be their victim, @bobknight33. EMT almost died twice for helping the cop.

Booby-Trapped Trump Sign

Yep, I totally agree.
Also, that's a lawsuit. You cannot put an attractive nuisance in your open yard designed to injure someone, even a thief. That's just a step away from a shotgun at your front door with a string on it's trigger attached to the doorknob. Sounds like a great idea to an idiot asshole, but it's totally illegal and murder if it works as designed.

@bobknight33, I hope that answers your question, but in the likely event you don't grasp it, one is petty theft/destruction of property (property with no monetary value) the other intentional assault with a weapon, and technically setting a trap is lying in wait which in many states could make the misdemeanor assault a class a felony.
You would like to pretend they're both crimes, so are equally as bad....fortunately the law isn't as short sighted, biased, and hyper tribal as you.

It was funny at parts, but the one with the trapped sign with pins is where it crossed the line for me.

2 Convicted of rape. One gets 6 months the other 15 years

Batey, aggravated rape and other (unlisted) charges...I think not hate crimes because....well, no reason, this was a clear hate crime, but he wasn't charged as such or sentenced for the other convictions..... Black privilege?
Tennessee-Class A Felony - 15-60 years in prison and a fine not more than $50,000 (aggravated rape, rape of a child)
"There were five acts of sexual assault and rape committed by [Batey] and him alone, and there were seven acts of violence he was found guilty of committing against me.
But sexual assault was not where the attack ended."
They also kidnapped her to take her unconscious body to the raping place.

Turner, 3 cases of felony sex assault for one act. It seems the prosecutor was asking for 1/2 the max of 12 years.
Felony Sexual Battery: This has a range of punishments. The defendant could receive a term of imprisonment in county jail for up to 1 year and a fine of up to $2,000. However, California state laws also allows for imprisonment for 2, 3, or 4 years as well as a fine of up to $10,000.

Keep in mind, different states have different laws and sentences.

Curious what the charges were that Batey was convicted of and the range of penalties for those charges? What was the possible range of penalties of Turners conviction (i think the prosecutor wanted six years).

Ah come on. 65 feet is plenty with TV cameras. 300 feet is over the top and I would be able to understand. But do you REALLY need to stick your TV camera up a stressed out oiled birds beak to get the images needed to penetrate the jaded mind-shell of the average TV viewer who is happily munching his TV dinner, exhilirated in his induced 30 second outrage? And do you need to get closer than 65 feet to a clean up boat to shoot it? Maybe you'd be interfering with their work if you're any closer? And not just one, but a whole flock of journalists in boats.
You're behaving as if a media black out was being enforced - and all that's happening is getting the media to give a little room. So what?

40 Thousand dollar fine, and Class D felony charges. Pretty much says, "Fuck you 1st ammendment." As if the media being two feet from boom on the beach is a problem. Perhaps you weren't watching the same video as I was. But it's not just a water 65ft rule. It's also for beaches too, if not by extension but by use. If a boater cannot get to an island that is affected by oil because of the rule, then they cannot photograph the impact it has having on said beach.

It's not the rule itself, or the numbers. It's a matter of principle. If you can't understand that, go read a constitution.

The Media should be up the cleanup crew's, coast guard's asses with a flashlight and magnetic probe, after all that's exactly what we expect of them.

The article below is beside the point, but interesting nonetheless.

Here is a state law for Virginia

However, the provisions of this section shall not apply to persons (i) wearing traditional holiday costumes; (ii) engaged in professions, trades, employment or other activities and wearing protective masks which are deemed necessary for the physical safety of the wearer or other persons; (iii) engaged in any bona fide theatrical production or masquerade ball; or (iv) wearing a mask, hood or other device for bona fide medical reasons upon the advice of a licensed physician or osteopath and carrying on his person an affidavit from the physician or osteopath specifying the medical necessity for wearing the device and the date on which the wearing of the device will no longer be necessary and providing a brief description of the device. Alright, look. I had alot of good info down here. But the HTML links caused my browser to dislike the width of the comment boxes. I had to do some digging in order to figure out how to edit the comment without an edit option on my screen.

So I looked at the source (firebug) and found the Anchor that the edit button used and followed that link. Viola fixed.
