You mention no more debates as a positive, but I was actually looking forward to the town hall one. Biden would have improved at handling full-on-crazy President Asshole, and Trump talking over / ignoring the questions from the people in the town hall would look SO much worse than being a dick to Chris Wallace. I can't imagine Trump's performance would have improved in any notable way, as he's not one for putting in the work OR admitting to any errors.

I watched Chris Wallace interview Conway just yesterday (for as long as I could stand it, which admittedly was only a few minutes), his questions were ok, but delivered with a slow underhand pitch and with no follow-up or contradiction of her ridiculous rambling factless replies. That's not good reporting, it's being the setup for spreading their agenda/propaganda.

There is no equivalence. Fox is (disgusting unAmerican) entertainment, not news. There is no right wing news outlet, they are all propaganda outlets and little more today.

What I got out of that is that Romney/Ryan are proposing to increase the tax burden on the rich. The math is actually simple. There will be a revenue neutral 20 % across the board tax cut with neutrality achieved thru closing loopholes and the middle class will benefit from the cuts. This would imply that truth, consistency and accuracy really mattered to FOX. Romney goes into the memory hole the day he loses. Bush was president for 8 fucking years and they've manage to wipe all records of his existence at FOX.

Wallace didn't ask for all the details. He just asked ballpark how much the 20% comes out to without reference to the loopholes. If Ryan can confidently say that with the loopholes closed it's revenue neutral, then he must be able to say the amounts on each side.

Also, if it's revenue neutral, that means on average, Romney/Ryan are promising precisely nothing except uncertainty about whether you'll go up or down.>> ^VoodooV:

In Ryan's defense though. The budget is this insanely complicated thing. He's absolutely correct that you can't just give a few sound bites that adequately summarizes things up. We live in a complex world, you can't reduce lots of things into sound bites that will satisfy the armchair politicians
