A Response to Lars Andersen: a New Level of Archery
But... but I already enrolled in his 12 week course "horseback archery on foot." And what do I do about this LARS tattoo? I just don't think my friends will ever take me seriously again after I invested so much in Lars.
Goddamn you, Lars, you fucking piece of shit I hope you choke on piss and DIE. My whole goddamn life is a whore-mongering lie, imagined as the solipsistic plunge of a physically and mentally inferior charlatan in a shitty and superficial world, but which is more likely the dying thoughts of a misshapen and misfiring synapse in a soup of decaying matter once thought alive.

jon stewart-rage against the rage against the machine
That's absolutely not what's been reported. The reports have repeatedly said his hyoid was severely injured and he asphyxiated.
Also, we can not take the word of the public coroner when it comes to officer involved death. Like the DA, they work with the cops daily, and bend over backwards to 'help' them repeatedly. Independent prosecutors and coroners are needed on EVERY officer involved death, without them we'll see you all as members of a deadly, powerful gang of thugs.
Cops should have TALKED to him instead of deciding 'he's not complying fast enough, get him fellas' and dog piling on him, starting from behind with a hold specifically disallowed by the department. (I'm glad you didn't try to say he wasn't choked, because that would just be ridiculous). That's really overboard for someone selling loosies, and was really, obviously about contempt of cop.
It might be a good idea for them to not laugh and joke about it while the body is still lying on the sidewalk and the family is filming them too, btw. (I've seen the extended video)
Perhaps he should have cooperated, but in no way would that ensure he'd be alive. The 77 year old man cooperated fully, (when a cop just nastily grabs at your papers for no reason and without saying a thing, pulling away is expected and acceptable) and was beaten and tasered for his trouble. Cooperation simply means the cops won't be hurt, not the citizen. Many many people are injured and killed cooperating with police and in full custody yearly. You somehow put the blame 100% on them and 0% on the police that have them under their control and have the duty to protect them. The rest of us have lost all trust in cops lately, and we feel if you have a duty you should perform it.
EDIT: How did 'cooperating' work out for this guy?

Garner didn't die from being choked. Coroner ruled there was no damage or obstruction to the trachea.
His system was weak and he died from the stress of resisting arrest. He should have cooperated and he'd be alive today.

That all depends on who you listen to. Most witnesses said he did.
Garner died from being choked to death. Period. It was not necessary at all, was against department rules, and was many many levels of escalation from what he was doing, standing surrounded by 8 cops.
Because the DA threw both cases in the toilet, we'll never know.
Can you see how that makes the police less popular and more feared and hated? If not, I think that's a major part of the issue.
I'm glad you didn't try to defend the cop why beat up the 77 year old man over absolutely nothing. (trying to angrily snatch papers without notice and having them pulled away is not cause or resisting, BTW)
Michael Brown didn't have his 'hands up' according to credible evidence. Both he and Eric Garner died from resisting arrest and the violence attendant upon that fact.
Being arrested is not a negotiation between two parties in a contract.
lawrence odonnell-shocking mistake in ferguson grand jury
The problem I've had is that both in Ferguson and the New York case, the Grand Jury both seemed to vote on guilt/innocence, not if there is merit for a trail. Ferguson could have ended up with an innocent verdict had it actually gone to trial, if only because of massive conflicting testimony (people would still be upset, but at least if there was a trial it'd probably have been minimized). The New York choke hold is a bit harder to see how it didn't go to trial, there's a flipping camera recording it.
The Cleveland one that seems to be blowing up is a bit different, though the family wasn't treated with proper respect, I'm a bit more on the cop side there since the orange cap was off (and who can fully trust that if all you have to do is paint the tip of a real gun orange) and it looked real in the time they had. One could argue they shot too soon, but hard to tell how long to give. The problem in that case is they didn't call for medical care quick enough (not that it probably would have helped) and they blocked and arrested the family, treating them without any respect to a dead/dying child that by that point they knew had a toy gun. Let the mother get to her kid, let the sister go and don't make the mother choose to stay with her daughter or ride with her son... That's where the Cleveland one went south.
jon stewart tears into eric garner reactions
If the grand Jury did hear evidence for cause of death due choking then why did the grand jury decide the way they did? Did they give any statement?
Darth Vader denied political freedom in Ukraine
he should have force choked that woman and told her...
"I find your lack of faith disturbing."
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Miss America Pageant
"Donald Trump: a clown made of mummified foreskin and cotton candy"
omg, I nearly choked on my coffee. That is the best description of Trump ever.
Fuck, there's some actually journalism happening there.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Student Debt
You ask where to start? It is obvious that was not rhetorical in any way shape or form because your argument was poorly put together from the beginning.
"The total bill due in AMERICA tops 1 trillion." Then, "That's right, student debt in AMERICA..." There is even a reference to an AMERICAN President, and everything else about this video was about America. We see a reoccurring theme here newt?
So follows the logic that since this discourse is focused solely on American schools, then we are all talking about American schools. No other assumption is logical. My comment, with that prefacing in mind, is obviously intended for American schools. Yeah, take it out of context and I look like an idiot, but with the context I am not the one that looks stupid.
Let me give you another example. Say we are talking about gay rights in America and I just generalize the concept of gay rights after an intense discussion about just that. You could argue that since gay rights in tribal, African countries are different then I am stupid, but don’t be such a stickler for pathetic red herrings.
Second, the problems facing the poor are tragic. It is WELL DOCUMENTED; however, that poor children have lower grades. Why? Because it's hard to think on an empty stomach. In other words, it's hard to care about what the fuck is on the chalkboard when you have to worry about where you are going to get food at or hell, if you will have a roof over your head. This fact is not insulting, as you clearly say it is, this is reality. A sad, tragic reality that few in America have the balls to have a real discourse on. We trivialize it behind a false veneer. We make it seem like the poor try so hard and care so much but that if only we helped them a little more they could succeed. No, we have to help them a LOT more.
I think all colleges should be paid for by the government. I think books and research materials should be free. I think we can do a lot more than what we currently do.
Lastly, one student in my current class is obviously lacking in education and more so obvious does not care. She is a mother of three children, one of which is disabled. I can see why she just wants the degree and I don't judge her. You, on the other hand, do unintentionally judge this woman, newt. You insult her by suggesting her lack of educational pursuance is rare to the poor and that she must be failing that pursuit because of a lack of drive. She cannot care about bettering her leisurely time newt, period.
Do you think I gave a fuck about learning, just for education’s sake when my brothers beat me, threw me down the stairs, choked me, humiliated me, and shoved a pillow over my face at night? Or when they punched my skull into concrete and beat my dog? You insult the hell out of me—as though I SHOULD have cared when I just tried to survive. As though I failed to care and that made me a failure. The poor should not care—they should survive. We should all help them care.
Where to start, Lawdeedaw?
First, your comment was not limited to American colleges, so your admonition to @bareboards2 is a misstep.
Second, I must guess from the grammar and your estimations that you were visiting these colleges, not enrolled, because my experience was far different. I was a struggling full time, minimum wager earner while I went to college on my own dime for YEARS, because I wanted to learn things, not for a 'degree' to get a good paying career. I knew many others there that may have hoped to better their earning potential, but also wanted to better themselves, and so took many elective classes that didn't further an academic career, as did I. I also knew some of those at Stanford, but fewer.
EDIT:The poor not caring about education is not only wrong, it's extremely insulting. Because attaining good education is more difficult does not make it less important to them, in fact it's likely MORE important, and many sacrifice to a degree inconceivable to the 'rich' to educate themselves and their children.
And not all Americans are overt consumerists ruled by their base emotions and without any self control. Many are, but not all by a long shot.
Gino's hilarious comeback to Holly's recipe comparison
Yep. He just accidentally insinuated that his grandmother was promiscuous, and that's why Phil nearly choked to death. Because otherwise it's not that funny a comeback.
wait... do you mean as in town bike?
Why I Don't Like the Police
jeez, there's more casual violence in the average flag football game than there were in my 30 years of LE experience.
Also, you don't use your gun as a club, get real.
Dying from pepper spray? Unlikely, but people have died from being handcuffed. I've seen dead people who died while taking a nap, people in their 30s. There is risk in everything. Kids die from choking on breakfast cereal. Whattya gonna do?
I remember picking up this dude at the county jail, had some kind of breathing apparatus on him. I put him in back of my cruiser and the a/c was barely working and wasn't reaching the back seat at all, real hot day. I'm watching him in the mirror and he's fading. I thought, good god, this guy could die back there. So I pulled off the freeway and opened the door. 'Get in the front!'. I put the vents on him and he started coming around and before long we were talking football.
Of course, you won't see any video of that.
Kalamazoo Police Officer Saves Woman From Choking
Am I a cynic to think she might have intentionally "choked" and made the cop her hero to get out of the ticket?
It's odd that she didn't start choking until well into the stop, and I heard a lot of noise coming out of her mouth, but when you're truly choking your airway is blocked so there is no air passing through to make such sounds.
Hmm.
P.S. The double-play is really annoying.
"Dear Mom and Dad." About demented US gun culture.
Obesity kills more US citizens than terrorism.
Alcohol kills more people than pot.
Religious extremism kills more americans than Edward Snowden.
Choking on food kills more humans than serial killers.
Car crashes kill more children than pedophiles.
What's your point here?
Boo hoo hoo.
98+% of gun violence is from illegal gun use.
Abortion kills more children then every statistic listed if this filth film.
Abortion kills more children than ALL murders in the USA.
Guns are not the problem. Morality is.
