Did i misunderstand? Are you actually trying to say the rapist Trump only spitballed ideas? Are you so delusional you bought the stupid lie that he’s being charged for exercising free speech!?! 😂

Good luck with that…because he’s not charged with spitballing ideas, or lying about the election…he’s charged in this indictment with conspiring to impede official proceedings, taking actions to impede official proceedings, and attempting to defraud the government by submitting fake electors, and attempting to deny millions of voters their rights of participation in the process by stealing their votes. He’s charged with trying to “delay” the final certification to give his dishonest ploys to steal the election by fraud more time, a major felony…and his fucking lawyer went on TV and admitted he did it! 😂
You morons!

Keep chugging the flavoraid. Jim….I mean Don will be there to personally usher you into MAGA heaven when it’s over because he loves you and is well known for helping the little guy.

P.S.- a second judge has now said Trump is a rapist, and dismissed his counterclaim against Carrol for calling him a rapist. Enjoy!

Bwaaaaaahahahaha!!! Well, Trump got his wish to delay his treason trial (the stolen top secret document one, I know, there’s so many it’s impossible to keep track). Smith had requested a Dec 3 2023 start date, Trump requested no trial date but a meeting after the election to see if there will be any trial at all (because he assumes he will be able to just pardon himself) and Trump friendly judge Cannon delayed the trial like Trump requested….to May 20, 2024! Perfect timing for it to be the headlines all summer during the campaign. Good luck running a campaign from the defendants table!
Remember, he said being under investigation is a disqualifier. Expect to see that in ads all summer as he “defends” himself against 7 treason cases (expect defenses like he tried in Carrol’s case….absolutely none.). 😂
He also lost his ploy to transfer his NY criminal cases to federal court…so no escaping those 34 serious felony counts. The federal judge actually said there’s substantial evidence that Trump committed these cover up crimes in NY state trying to hide his payment for sex with porn stars while Melania was pregnant. That case also set for next year! Enjoy!
Also we found out the topics of the upcoming charges for Jan 6…1) conspiracy to commit offenses against or defraud the United States 2) witness tampering 3) deprivation of rights under color of law. All 3 serious legal violations with dozens of felonies included under each topic, each carrying serious prison penalties. Smith is no sucker, if he said these are the topics of the crimes he’s investigating, he already has more than enough evidence to convict. Enjoy another slam dunk case about massive Republican election fraud and an attempted coup in late summer 2024 that also heavily implicates every sitting Republican in congress …coming fall 2024. 😂

Oh….and don’t forget in 2024 there should be something like 7 new seats in the house, all from newly created Democratic or minority led districts from red states like Alabama and Louisiana that have already been”convicted” of having violated the voting rights act to disenfranchise their minority populations and minimize their political power by gerrymandering (and some from NY too) and 32 more redistricting cases from red states like Texas and N Carolina that blatantly violated the federal Voting Rights act by intentionally minimizing and dissolving minority districts as much as possible, but they haven’t lost in court…YET.

This is America WINNING!!

I suppose Trump really…REALLY should have just complied with law enforcement, shouldn’t he? It might have saved him from 38 of the felonies he’s charged with and the life sentence he’s facing. 😂

Hilarious news that he couldn’t get a bond and has to put up 111% of the Carrol judgments in cash before he can appeal. Not one lender in America would give him credit or sell him a surety bond.

Sounds like multiple co-conspirators in Georgia, his fake electors, have taken the deal and testified against him in depositions. He tried to hide the offer from them by hiring their lawyer and having the lawyer never tell their clients the immunity offer was made, but multiple legal conflicts had them thrown off the case and suddenly everyone is talking. Uh oh!

Can’t wait for the Jan 6 evidence/trial. He did reinstate the firing squad, didn’t he? 😂

Trump Arrest Deepfakes Are Going Viral

newtboy says...

Guilty of every charge. 😂

Trump’s lackeys are out of power and the DOJ is no longer acting as his personal defense attorney. New prosecutors did their job, and got convictions.

A $5 million nothing burger. I’ll take one.

Let’s see…millions spent investigating Trump’s criminal administration and HUNDREDS of convictions, now 25 more convictions for Trump himself (and he immediately repeated the crime on the courthouse steps after his convictions, guaranteeing two more multi million dollar cases by Carrol alone), and hundreds more to come. You need to go to kindergarten math, because hundreds > 0… 25 > 0.
Hundreds of convictions to show, from Trump to pages and every level in between. This alone speaks volumes that the entire administration was corrupt beyond belief and had absolutely zero respect for rules, laws, or ethics.
Up to 10 serious criminal cases in the works for Trump….some filed. Hardly nothing.
I think you’ve proven again that your grasp on reality is tenuous at best, because you claim hundreds of serious felony criminal charges and dozens of convictions already for Trump personally is “nothing”.

Again, not addressing your made up $60 million number, but no matter how much has been spent it’s been a bargain, because it forced the administration to stop its illegal actions time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time again.

$200 million (I can make up numbers too) spent investigating Biden and actually nothing found, no charges, no specific accusations, no witnesses, no evidence, nothing at all but blanket accusations that he’s somehow criminal, we just don’t know how yet.
>$200 million investigating Clinton (verified), same results, nothing.

Gonna be hilarious soon, the judge in NY is forcing Trump to take a class instructing him how he must handle the evidence in his NY fraud cases Aand that he’s not allowed to talk about it so, when he violates the court order and starts tweeting out the evidence, he cannot claim he didn’t know better. It’s a trap Trump cannot keep from walking into. He’s going to jail before he goes to prison because he’s incapable of following the basic rules everyone else must live by. 😂

bobknight33 said:

The charges are softer than a old mans dick.

Even CNN is WTF on these charges.
DOJ and Election committee and the NY state DA all looked into this and said NOPE , nothing here. Yet NYC DA ran on getting Trump and this is the best he came up with. Recycled nothing burgers.

Yet another nothing burger.

Lets see 60$ million spent to "get Trump" since he came down the escalator and still ZERO.

60$ million and NOTHING to show . This alone speaks volumes that there is no there there.

So many hoping, dreaming that something, anything can be found. If 60$ Million has found nothing perhaps - you and your kind need to rethink this matter.

4 more convicted of seditious conspiracy over Jan 6, more to come.
So much for “it wasn’t sedition”. 100% proven in court that it was.

Another massive “L” for your collection. They just keep coming faster and bigger constantly. Carrol is about to hand out another since Trump isn’t going to defend himself against the rape accusation…his team is putting on no defense at all!! Not one witness! Not even a character witness (smart, any they presented would be eaten alive on the stand and make Trump look worse).

I love it when a plan comes together…Jack Smith is now investigating evidence tampering and obstruction for tampering with the surveillance tapes of the rooms where Trump held the classified documents he stole and lied about keeping….tampered with after they were subpoenaed. Each charge carries up to 20 years in prison. The hits keep coming….far worse hits than parsing what the word “is” means.

Aaaaahahaha!
One private school followed the public school law in Texas and banned the Bible for glorifying explicit sexual and violent content…and the right has lost their hypocritical shit!
Enjoy reaping what you sow.

Edit: bonus- Trump was just deposed in the Eugene Carrol rape case, and as a civil case he could invoke the 5th but the jury can assume guilt because he pleads the 5th, so he actually testified for 7 hours. Now that deposition, which included questions the answers to which Bragg wanted on the record before prosecuting Trump for bank and tax fraud for fraudulently over/under valuations properties for loans/taxes.
Suddenly not filing this case last year when the investigators brought it to him is genius, because otherwise the civil deposition wouldn’t have happened for years if ever and he would have less evidence.

Added bonus- WI republicans hijacked the emergency alert system during a blizzard/tornado outbreak to fake an emergency alert that was in fact a political ad against the Democratic Supreme Court candidate. More evidence that respect for laws, morals, and ethics aren’t part of the Republican Party.
Happily thanks to this and other blatant Republican disregard and distain for the law, the Democratic candidate won by double digits in conservative Wisconsin.

Today is interesting….
1.)a federal judge said in her official ruling that guilty insurrectionists WERE acting on Trump’s orders to “stop the steal”, which meant disrupt congress in their constitutional duties. That officially makes him a seditious insurrectionist.
2.) his deposition in the Eugene Carrol case is so full of perjury and contradiction it will be a miracle if he’s not charged. He actually claimed he’s never once touched a woman without prior consent….as if we hadn’t seen all the videos.
3.) in his pre deposition he was shown a photo of Carrol, who he’s repeatedly said he didn’t rape only because she’s “not his type”, but when he saw the photo he said “that’s my beautiful ex wife, Marla”. D’oh!
What a tool. Where’s your messiah now? (Hint, it’s a courtroom somewhere).

Edit: and, on Toth Senchal, he fully admitted stealing classified documents from the whitehouse because he liked the colorful folders. Another flailing explanation that contradicts his other flailing explanations without being a defense.
Still no defense to refusing to turn them over and lying about having them when asked by the archives, when they were demanded by the archives, or about actively hiding them when the FBI searched for them repeatedly, finding more every time everywhere they searched. 🤦‍♂️
Also no explanation for Giuliani claiming he was routinely instructed to take top secret documents home despite not having security clearance to see them and not having a secure place to store them at home.

Our Greatest Delusion As Humans - Veritasium

ChaosEngine says...

First of all, those are two completely different questions. What happens (presumably you mean after death?) doesn't necessarily have anything to do with why we are here.

It could be that nothing happens after death, but there is still some grand purpose to existence. Or it could be that there's an afterlife, but the universe itself is meaningless.

As to what do I really know? The answer is, of course, nothing. No-one can really know anything about what happens outside of our existence and anyone who tells you they do is either lying or delusional.

However we can make an educated guess (and not even a "so called" one, a real one based on centuries learning about the universe we inhabit) Every time we make a new discovery, it has turned out to have a natural explanation. As we learn more, the "god of the gaps" has grown smaller and smaller, to the point where we know that even if there is some mystical force underlying the universe, it has no measurable effect on it.

*related=http://videosift.com/video/Physicist-Sean-Carroll-refutes-supernatural-beliefs

If our consciousness really does continue after our physical bodies die, there has to be a mechanism for it, and there is zero evidence of any such mechanism.

It could be that we simply lack the tools or the understanding to detect this, but there isn't even anything leading us to ask the question (e.g. an unexplained phenomena that would prompt us to investigate a hypothesis that might lead to a theory).

As to why we are here? From a scientific point of view, there's no evidence to suggest there is a reason to anything. The universe just is. From a philosophical point of view, I've always liked Carl Sagan's idea that "we are a way for the cosmos to know itself".

TL;DR We really know nothing, but it's pretty unlikely that anything happens after death or that there is a reason we are here.

The Fine Tuning of the Universe

RFlagg says...

I couldn't even make it to the full minute mark. I think the video posted and related where Sean Carroll responds to the idea of a fine tuned universe is a good response.

This video is likely made by the same sort of people who once argued that "just a few feet in either direction and life on Earth couldn't exist". Of course the Earth doesn't have a circular orbit, and our Sun's Goldilocks zone extends from just past Venus (Earth side) to past Mars. Leaving both Earth and Mars well within the habitable zone.

My bigger problem with the video is you are trying to get to point Z, and saying it had to go through A-Y first in specific order. This is an argument used frequently against Evolution. The huge odds you'd have to go through to get to a modern human in the time allowed is greatly against modern humans forming when they did. Problem is you are working from the end result back, rather than the starting point and going forward, and it you are also discounting some other forces of nature. I used to quote the mathematical problem myself when I was a Creationist, though an Old Earth one as I was long of the opinion that Young Earth Creationist make Christians look stupid.

I may be an atheist, but I have no problem with a God of the Gaps if people want to believe that. I however don't believe that Jehovah is that God (there's too much evidence against Him, such as the fact He couldn't or wouldn't reveal himself beyond a tiny little backwater tribe, not to people in the Americas or Asia or Europe, but to one tiny group of people, either He's a Racist, which makes Him unworthy of serving, or He's not any more real than any of the other so called Gods). Whatever, or Whomever may have kick-started the Universe into existence didn't do it for some divine plan for mankind. The arrogance that it takes to assume the Universe in all it's glory was created just to awe man, or for whatever other reasons related to man and our involvement with Jehovah is arrogance beyond belief.

EDIT: Perhaps the better related video would have been http://videosift.com/video/Pure-Imagination-1
