Bo Burnham on Broadway soon plz!??!
Sutton Foster: Anything Goes rehearsal performance
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Big time Broadway guy too - he was in Cabaret. One of those guys who have been around forever.
Anyone know who the short older gentleman is? It's driving me nuts because I know I've seen him in television before but can't think of his name.
Edit:
Joel Grey ... and oddly I remember him from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series. Didn't know he was also in Remo Williams; now that's a blast from my past ... all those cheesy/fun 80's action movies: The Golden Child, Commando, Beverly Hills Cop, Big Trouble In Little China.
...and damn he's still lively for an 86 year old!

Okay
I just took a long walk to have lunch. As I walked, I noodled and noodled on my Homeland comment (if it isn't obvious by now, I use that comment all the time.) How to give it context so as to not give the wrong impression? How to keep it short, given how complicated the context is?
Finally realized the power of the snark. Parentheses. Those communicate quickly.
Still needed more. Has to be short.
I sat to eat my lunch, and opened the book of essays I was reading. (I always read while eating if alone.) And there it was.
So. Would you be interested in being my editor for this project? Help me hone it? Get it succinct? (If you are interested, I have a great story about the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls struggles to be succinct. Came to mind when I stumbled on the idea of parentheses.)
Okay. Here goes. Let me know if you would like to help me get it right:
As "Homeland Security" says, if you see something, SAY something. (Meant to be read snarkily. Because here is the truth: As Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel said: "Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.")
It is still long. I'll have to copy and paste a long time before I remember it. But it provides context and I hope it communicates that you cannot confuse me with a Brownshirt.

Honest Kids Say The Darndest Things
Now that I'm at home with my headphones it sounds like "I'm going to throw a shoe at you, shut up".
Those off-off-off-Broadway audiences are tough.
I'm grossed out Stewart, now shut up.
Maybe?
Wicked "Hello, Dolly" T-Shirt though.

Coming soon to Broadway, the new Andrew Lloyd Webber show about Millennials.
Let It Go - The Doctor Who Version by Arthur Darvill
Man, I would love to watch him in Once on the West End.
I'll settle for the Broadway traveling group in a few weeks.

Oh dear!
And to think he is opening on Broadway soon in Waiting for Godot.
He certainly has the bases covered, culture-wise!

Tony Awards 2013 - Neil Patrick Harris and Mike Tyson
Tyson had a one-man show on Broadway called "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth". Not a musical connection, but a Broadway connection.
And I too am pretty squicked out by the showbiz rehabilitation of this rapist. Then again, at least Tyson served his time. I'm much more squicked out by Hollywood's lionization of Roman Polanski.
He's not my favourite celeb and it does seem a bit odd to see him here. What's his musical connection? If there is one then maybe fair enough. If not he's got good representation.
Weird that he can barely move in coherent way. Funny the way NPH was pulling him to wear he was supposed to go.
And NPH - what a performance. That's talent right there.
Book of Mormon: Party Bus Edition
Awesome! I just got tickets for the traveling Broadway show in Seattle and I can't wait to see it.
But I have to wait until next July. Of 2014.

Thomas Ricks describes Fox News to Fox News. Tis luverly!
I was almost expecting to see him yanked off camera with a great big hook, like a bad comedian on old Broadway.
Oooeee, couldn't get him off the air fast enough.
