No, the scene wasn't trimmed. At least, that's how it played in the theatrical and DVD releases.

I love movies. I have dozens of "favorite" movies. But there is something about Braveheart. I know what will happen in every scene but it still gives me chills. And I still cry at the end. Thanks for sifting this awesome scene.

I know it would suck to lose all these votes but the longer it stays up, the more it will hurt.

Not sure mlx is still around to fix hers, but something has to be done about this situation. Maybe discarding the dead one could be a solution as well, though it would be unfair to original poster.

That's kinda why there are so many soccer brawls... well, the low scoring of soccer games. There's SO MUCH tension in soccer games 'Oooh, he's going to, going to score, going to... aaawwwww... nope' over and over again, the tension gets really high, and the release of said tension only happens once or twice, or sometimes NEVER in a game... so all these fans have all this ridiculous tension... and they feel the need to let it out somehow.

Hence, brawls.

Now... Aussie Rules football... regular scores into the hundreds (ok, a goal is 6 points), and you have ample release for tension, hence you don't hear that much about aussie rule fan brawls.

great scene, from a great movie, with a stellar cast, that suffered at the box office, due solely to being released too close to Braveheart.

fencing happens to be one of my favorite sports. i fence foil, mostly. the tactics and pacing in this scene are brilliant.

helluva pick, choggie.

oh, and Terence "Zod" Stamp is in it, too, for chrissake.

and, as if that weren't enough? David O'Hara. easily one of my fave character actors. best known as Stephen, the insane Irishman (and my fuckin' hero), in Braveheart.

with that cast? i'd watch a re-make of Plan 9 from Outer Space.
