Yes, I'm interested, By all means send it to me, provided it doesn't cost you anything. If it will cost you then I insist on paying for it. You're a righteous dude, my friend.

Well, the bassist plays with the pillows, who I'm a huge fan of, so I got into these guys quite a while back, and have loved them for a good almost two years now I think. They only released two albums, but both were really good, especially "Killing Pop," the one with Eleking as the opener. If you're interested, I could send it to you sometime.

Thanks for the translation! Great find, BTW.

I'm extremely partial to the entire song in general, from the slightly dark opening to the beautiful vocals (especially the chorus).
By the way, I posted a translation, so go ahead and take a look.

Give it a chance to get rolling..
Though the song does get better as it gets going, the intro is still great. I love dark, moody music like that. In other words, this whole song is awesome. I wish I knew the lyrics. (Don't worry, I'm not asking you to be Translation Boy.)

"you can easily avoid overdoing it without being THAT simple on the drums."
Heh, yeah. I thought you were going to come back with, "but Meg totally draws attention to herself with her hot-librarian looks and her sloptastic, follow-along drumming, which is different from every other rock band and therefor stands out," which is also probably a fair things to say. I'm biased, and used to their 'untrained' sound, so... yeah. If Jack had a better drummer they'd be The Black Keys, so, I guess we got that covered already.

Haha, yeah I actaully watched that cover after reading your comment on it. I'm not a drummer myself, but I totally agree with instruments not drawing away from the music by sticking out too much. I think that there's a time for each instrument to stick out. Drums and bass guitar don't really get a lot of time in the spotlight, but they get a unique opportunity to create an extra layer of interest. My favorite drummers and bassists use their technical skills where it adds to the texture of the music to make it better. I guess my point is you can easily avoid overdoing it without being THAT simple on the drums.
Spin Doctors on Sesame Street
Man, the bassist still rocks that same bass nowadays. The played here for free in the fall.
Nirvana - The Man Who Sold The World (Live)
I always thought that the bassist looked like Andy Kaufman.
Best unplugged show ever :
Pearl Jam
Alice in Chains
Nirvana
Mission of Burma ~ That's When I Reach For My Revolver
This is quite nice, you don't often see a bassist playing chords at any point in the song; and a bass solo on top of that.
Good song.
Norwegian Wood Amazing Bass Solo - Victor Wooten
Victor Wooten is a rather amazingly skilled bassist.
Ghost in You - Psychedelic Furs
I met the bassist of this band at a Swatch (watch company) party in NY. He had huge bags under his eyes, but he was a super cool guy. My friends and I hung out with him for a while that night, he took our picture and that was that. I never got into their music, but I'm going to upvote this video because he was a nice guy.
Player (1978) Baby Come Back
From Wikipedia: The original members of the band included ... Ronn Moss (bassist, vocalist) ... Moss left Player in 1981 to pursue a full-time acting career. He continues to play the role of Ridge Forrester on the soap opera, The Bold And The Beautiful.
Lynyrd Skynyrd: Simple Man
very nice - thanks for posting this
anyone else spot bassist leon wilkeson sporting a 'hard rock cafe' t-shirt at ~2:41?
heh heh
Elastica - Live: Car Stop, Connection, Line Up
best band evar.
this is the original lineup (haha)
annie the bassist was kinda reclusive and quit before it got too mental
justine the singer was living with damon albarn which brought them a lot of shitty tabloid pressure
donna the blond guitarist was apparently a bit prone to moody bitchiness
justin the drummer was the coolest drummer at the time imo
they were about to drop their second album when it all went too wrong i think. it seemed like they went and toured australia for 2 years. the album eventually came out but the magic was gone.
they got a new bassist who was foxy but very young and a keyboard player who died of a heroin overdose and that was that.
but for a year they were the absolute shit, i nearly died of exhaustion after about 3 of their songs.
incidentally that show is The White Room which was about the only good music show on UK tv, apart from Jools Holland obviously.
Dick Dale & The Del Tones - "Misirlou" 1963
Hooray for Dick Dale! LOL at the bassist!
Rush - Countdown
If you're a bassist, there are not many folks more inspirational than Geddy Lee!
Gotta ask: have you ever seen Gov't Mule's "Rising Low" DVD? After their bassist, Allen Woody, died, Warren Haynes (my hero started a tribute project, during which he gathered some of the best bass players in the world together to play Allen Woody's Gov't Mule parts, as well as their own signature pieces, live and on a tribute album. The result was "The Deep End" (a 2 volume CD set) and "Rising Low" (a DVD capturing the making of the CDs, and the resulting tour): http://www.mule.net/discography/rising_low.html
Here's the list of bassists on the DVD / CDs: Allen Woody, Alphonso Johnson, Bootsy Collins, Billy Cox, Chris Squire, Chris Wood, Dave Schools, Flea, George Porter Jr., Jack Bruce, Jack Casady, Joey Arkenstat, John Entwistle, Terry Graham, Les Claypool, Meshell Ndegeocello, Mike Gordon, Mike Watt, Oteil Burbridge, Phil Lesh, Rocco Prestia, Roger Glover, Stefan Lessard, Tony Levin, Willie Weeks
The Scorpions - No one like you
yeah, i remember Francis Buchholz the main bassist for the Scorpions.. his bass lines in some classics like Yellow Raven were really great.
The Scorpions - No one like you
Klause, Rudy, Matthias, Herman and the BASSIST.... poor guy, does anyone else remember everyone else but him?
