Quake - Redux
I'm dismayed at the labor of the man who created Vines. He's currently working on a crypto-currency-esque gaming system where block chains are used to issue an artificial limit on the number of software copies that can be used at one time....because I don't have a shit ton of games with zero players already.
MAYBE if they limit players for the new diablo 2 remake to ??? how many? or why? the addition of this to something like the number of copies of a game is like a poison pill in my mind. One of the awesome things about software in general is that i CAN make copy copy copy and it's an EXACT duplicate of what is stored in a different location.
Here's an idea, do that for my SSN not mario cart. https://slashdot.org/story/21/08/19/2055228/vines-creator-is-now-working-on-nft-blockchain-video-games
I want more things to have artificially inflated prices. I can't even remember the last time I had to pay for a "long distance" call to my family who live in a neighboring state.
Hopefully, people will mod this one too.
Excavator driver decides to take a shortcut
Well he basically said the same thing you did. And I quote..
"Most awesome things are, when you get right down to it."
"Impressive. Just got right down to business, without wasting time on all the fluff."
Just thought there might be some collusion going on here.
Nah. That's not stupid.

That's stupid, right? Am I right? That's stupid? Isn't it?
Battlefield 5: Next-Gen Graphics | No HUD 4K 60fps
does it look nice? sure... does it look next gen? nope. Character lighting seem absent but I think it may have been a gameplay choice to better see players. Building deformation is not new but rare enough that it is always an awesome thing to see. Snow particles are nice, but particles are nothing new. Snow is still just as deformable now as it was the past 5 years. Come back to me when snow banks can be moved.
Still to see them while maintaining 60 fps in a shootout is nice.
I kind of had to scoff at how much destruction was afforded a plane cratering in the ground. Plane support seems pointless on a map this small but I imagine the map could become bigger (bigger player modes) later on. In the end though.. looks fun, although more of the same. I am no fan of loot box style power ups hence I havnt played a battlefield in many years, we will see how this one turns out.
A Movie Trailer goes: BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The thing with the original Inception BWAAAAA was that it actually made sense in the context of the movie.

How to DMT
It can last longer, depends on how much you smoke. It's nothing like Salvia, but salvia is comparatively similar in that you smoke it, it's very strong, comes on quickly, and doesn't last long.
Salvia is considered an "atypical psychedelic" because it fits into three molds: dissociative, deliriant & psychedelic but is no where close to being as clear, awesome and unimaginable as DMT. The main difference being is that when it hits - it hits inside of your mind so you can literally see this awesome thing happen from inside your brain very, very clearly.
I thought DMT lasted much longer. I thought I had experienced it before. From his description it sounds exactly like Salvia.
The Tiniest Civilization
Yet another completely awesome thing that would have been ridiculously expensive to film without drones.
Not sure if this is truly tilt-shift, as all the focus blur is computer generated. Probably just being pedantic.
Transforming Birthday Cake - Optimus Prime
That's stinking cool. I'm green with envy.
I need to get a box of K'nex or an erector set or whatever so I can figure out how to do this kind of awesome thing for my boys.
Upside Down Whale Breach
I pity the person standing there too busy watching it through their phone in a desperate attempt to capture the ephemeral that they missed the experience entirely. Still, I suppose in the end I'm glad that they did, vertically or no, because holy shit I just thought hard about whales and the fact they are a thing, a massive, monstrous, totally awesome thing, that exists.
That was awesome. Imagine how beautiful that looked when not watching through those awkward, rectangular portholes.
The Daily Show - Majority Retort
That rip on Rand Paul was awesome -- thing of beauty!
Lioness jumps off a cliff to catch an antelope in mid-air
Everyone knows this, but it's different when it's happening right in front of you and taking you completely by surprise. I've seen a lion kill a zebra, right in front of our vehicle as close as these guys are to the action and it's completely different seeing it in the flesh as it is watching it in a video.
You can see the fear in the struggling prey. You can hear it gasping for breath and struggling to cry out. You can feel the power of the lioness. You can see the blood pumping out of the prey into the lion's mouth and running down it's side. Flesh being ripped from the prey while it's still panting its last.
It's a harrowing experience. Whether you know that they eat meat or not, if you're not moved watching this happen just feet from you then there's something wrong with you. It's a wild, exciting, horrible, awesome thing to see. Just because it's completely natural and normal for the lion doesn't mean that someone seeing it for the first time should feel comfortable watching it. It's not a comfortable thing to see.
Watching a cat catch a mouse is one thing, but lions are working on a human scale. It's doing what it could do to you. Seeing it for real is a massive adrenaline rush because your body is well aware that it shouldn't be that close to what's happening, even if your mind can overrule it, you still get the rush.
Anyone going on safari knows that lions eat other animals, it's one of the things people really want to see. When we saw it there was one young lady with us who couldn't watch because it upset her too much, and it's not because she was a wuss, it just really was upsetting to see. Doesn't mean she thought the lion shouldn't be doing it, it's not a moral judgement in the slightest, she just didn't want to watch an animal die like that.
Really? The woman in the background..., commenting... Clue in... Lions don't shop at Wal-Mart for their food.
