*artsy *femme?

One of my favorite groups!
Music, Folk, Rock, Artsy, Clever, Non-mainstream...

They were great in concert when I saw them a couple years back!
(They look so young here )

I remember an artsy cartoon that covered this topic.

I'm sorry, but I've never gotten around to purchasing a fancy HDTV yet, so I'm not able to advise you, unfortunately. I'm at the lower end of the tech-savvy scale when compared to most of my sift brothers and sisters. Wish I could help. Sorry.

But if you ever need a photoshopped picture, I can do a semi-skilled job.

I like this list of films a lot. Not particularly because of the actual films on it, there are plenty I haven't seen. But because he never feels the need to kowtow to what people expect to be on these lists and put artsy or 'meaningful' films on there.

These are films that HE has really enjoyed, that HE found entertaining and well made.

Get stuffed to anyone who gets angry over this list, it's HIS bloody OPINION.

If you don't like it, please, post your top 20 since 1992 and let other people pick it apart.

Oh, and I COMPLETELY am on his side with the Matrix... EXACTLY as he says it for me... the first film would have so held up so much better, and my opinion of the Wachowski Brothers would have been SO much higher had they stopped there. By making the other two they demonstrated how they had pretty much put all their good ideas in one movie, and had run out in that area.

There is something to be said for leaving things to the imagination, and the Matrix 2 and 3 are shining examples of how trying to present those things can ruin the overall. (Much like Episodes 1, 2 and 3 of Star Wars & the special editions of the originals really)

We used to do the whole "hand storm" thing at camp and stuff. it was basically an excuse to get 100 kids to work together, but I guess they've decided it's "artsy" now. sounds great with the thunder.

I thought this was brilliant.

Especially as someone who is more mathematically oriented, i find these kinds of shows to be full of crap where they are discussion something artsy and making a big deal out of it, despite the fact the author of the art (drawing, music or otherwise) might actually be a mediocre artist and is accepted genius because of a 'cult of personality'.

As long as there is a camera around and there isn't a dick in her mouth, it's artsy! Good stuff. I need a new camera.

This appears to be just some artsy particle animation with some fluid-y dynamics trown in, not a proper superfluid simulation. It's just called "Superfluid".

Art, yes, but not science and engineering.
