Trump Resigns From SAG After Move To Revoke Membership

overdude says...

Further proof that him being president had absolutely nothing to do with him being a pompous, narcissistic, lying ass.
"...one of the most successful shows in television history, the Apprentice..." Really? Just like that "most highly attended inauguration," huh Donald Jenius Trump?

On another note, reporter needs to brush up on his reading/speaking skills...

Not sure where this belongs, so I'm just putting it here....

A letter from Donald to the SAG union sent after they started the process of revoking his membership. This is not a parody, it's an actual letter from the desk of the ex president, signed in black sharpie.

Ms. Carteris: I write to you today regarding the so-called disciplinary committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares? Well, I'm not familiar with your work. I'm very proud of my work on movies, such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and television shows including the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Saturday Night Live and of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, the Apprentice, to name just a few. I've also greatly helped the cable news television business, said to be a dying platform with not much time left until I got involved in politics, and created thousands of jobs at networks, such as MSDNC and fake news CNN among many others.

Which brings me to your blatant attempt at free media attention to distract from your dismal record as a union. Your organization has done little for its members and nothing for me, because that's always what it's about. Besides collecting dues and promoting dangerous un-American policies and ideas as evident by your massive unemployment rates and lawsuits from celebrated actors who even recorded a video asking, why isn't the union fighting for me? These however are policy failures. Your disciplinary failures are even more egregious. I no longer wish to be associated with your union. As such, this letter is to inform you of my immediate resignation from SAG-AFTRA. You have done nothing for me. You've done nothing for me.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gets attacked in South Africa

Payback says...

...or something that sounds like that in Afrikaans.

I don't care that it's Arnie. I don't care that he got back up and brushed it off like a real life robotic killing machine. That shit is elder abuse.

The only thing I hope is, this is an internet meme concerning the head characters on the Apprentice and the guy merely got the wrong target.

List of people in Trump's administration that have quit or been fired. The Trump Administration has seen the highest rate of turnover among White House staff in decades.

During the president’s first year, the administration saw a 34% turnover rate. This is the highest of any recent White House, according to a Brookings Institution report that tracked departures of senior officials over the last 40 years.

The next-highest turnover rate for an administration’s first year was Ronald Reagan’s, with 17% of senior aides leaving their posts in 1981.

Jim Jefferies tells Piers Morgan to Fuck Off

harlequinn says...

"the argument followed"...

Things Jim Jefferies said:
"She wouldn't have a Muslim ban
Oh fuck off
Fuck off
It's a fucking Muslim ban
He said there was a Muslim ban, there's a Muslim ban
It's, k, this is what you do, this is what you do Piers, you say "he hasn't done this, he hasn't done that, he's not going to do all these things", give him a fucking chance mate, you know what I mean? 'Cause Hitler didn't kill The Jews on the first day, he worked up to it.
Not ridicu... if people got hysterical in Germany right away then it wouldn't of...
You just like, you just like that you won The Apprentice and have a famous friend mate, that's all you fucking like, that's all you like
I'm not losing my audience, am I losing it?
Fuck off."

Things Jim Jefferies didn't say: any coherent arguments.

newtboy said:

Correct, "fuck off" is the retort, and proper retort when replying to a lying twat like him, the argument followed.

Not yet being a complete and total ban on Muslims coming into America, as Trump promised, does not mean it's not a Muslim ban. You don't have to ban ALL Muslims to be banning and/or targeting Muslims. It's worth noting that Trump already said he'll make exceptions and give priority to Christians from those countries. He's far too much of a pussy to actually halt immigration from countries whos citizens have attacked Americans and only went after weaker countries he's not in business with and that don't sell us much oil. Watch what happens if he's forced to divest himself from his businesses, suddenly some more countries will be on that terrorist/Muslim ban list.

Donald Trump will never be President of the United States

SaNdMaN says...

Good one there! "I know you are but what am I?!"

Trump is not afraid to lead? What's he leading in exactly?

An idiotic, poorly thought out travel ban that won't help anything?

Mouthing off to our allies, making us look like idiots? (Mexico will pay for the wall... wait, maybe not, but they'll pay 20% tariffs.... well actually the Americans will be the ones paying... sounds like a solid plan everyone!)

Appointing unqualified cabinet members? Rick Perry for energy secretary.... the department he wanted to destroy... the department that he had no idea manages our nuclear stockpiles... the department whose previous leader under Obama was a nuclear physicist. It's now Rick fucking Perry.

The only thing he's leading in is in being the most embarrassing statesman this country has ever seen, arguing with celebrities on Twitter like a child. This moron was actually ranting about Schwarzenegger and The Apprentice ratings in his National Prayer Breakfast speech. All he had to do was just recite a short passage from the bible or something. But nope, not him. He needs to ask like a 12 year old.

We have a 70-year-old man, who also happens to be THE PRESIDENT, who can't control himself and act the part. He really has a few screws loose. There's no other explanation. But we did give him the nuclear codes! Yaay!

Leader - my ass. (Besides, it's Bannon leading him anyway.)

Terminator Responds To Trump

TheFreak says...

I have never watched the apprentice but I'm actually really interested to see Arnold on the show. But I will not watch it because Trump's name is still listed as a producer and he earns money from the ratings. I literally had it in my DVR search but I paused before recording the series and thought, "No. Fuck Trump. I won't give his show the view."

If Trump did not profit from the show I would be watching it. I believe I'm not the only one.

Trump Calls Obama To Talk Inauguration Guests

PlayhousePals says...

@Fantomas
Don't forget Meatloaf! And Gary Busey could reprise his Buddy Holly. Celebrity Apprentice winners [because Trump LIKES winners] Trace Adkins and John Rich might consider it for old times sake.

I did see a news item that they were having difficulty finding performers [even LYING ... shocker ... about who they've lined up]: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/23/arts/music/no-elton-john-will-not-perform-at-the-trump-inauguration.html?_r=0

GOP Fear the P | Full Frontal with Samantha Bee | TBS

Thank you Trump, for being such a thoroughly disgusting person that even Republicans can't support you anymore.
Thank you Trump, for being such a cry baby that you have begun attacking any Republican that doesn't support you to the end, actually telling your followers to not vote for them.
Thank you Trump, for likely handing the control of the government to the Democrats. Barring more unforeseen surprises, that is. It seems probable that Trump will end up being the most important Democrat in recent history, doing more for the Democratic party than any other 10 politicians combined.
It's gratifying to see that even zealous right wingers have a line they won't follow their leader past....I was honestly beginning to wonder. They had no problem at all with him repeatedly saying he wanted to screw his daughter, repeatedly failing in business, repeatedly not paying his bills, repeatedly being caught as an adulterer, repeatedly making blatant racist claims and plans, etc.... it seemed there was no line to cross for them.
I can only hope that the tapes of him repeatedly saying the "N word" among other unacceptable disgusting behavior from the unaired Apprentice tapes come out in the next weeks. I find it hilarious that there's actually a go fund me page trying to get $5 million to pay for the non disclosure penalty if someone leaks them. Anonymous, where are you? Go hack MGM and get those tapes to Assange.

Clinton....make an offer to release the transcripts of your speeches if Trump releases the Apprentice recordings....please OH please.

Mike Rowe Explains Why Not to Follow Your Passion

Mordhaus says...

This is just a slight variation of his regular message, which does pertain to the kids of today. Mike Rowe has pushed mightily for kids to re-think the idea of 'You must go to college' because what he said is true, there are a HUGE number of skilled trade openings that no one is filling.

These trades pay a large amount of money; for instance, we recently had to pay for a skilled plumber to fix my wife's shower and with slightly less than 1 hour of labor, our bill (sans parts) was 147 dollars. They usually work on the apprentice system, so after 4-5 years you are considered a Master level if you do all the requirements. The problem is, these jobs require actual work and aren't 'sexy'. However, if you compare them to the nature of college and the white collar job market these days, you end up making a ton of money without crippling college debt. You also have a dedicated job market, something you can't guarantee with many non-science/engineering/math degrees.

It might have been better had he said, "Be aware of other options, sometimes following your dreams isn't the easiest path." For me, I got lucky and followed my dreams into a good job before I had to take disability and retire early. I was fortunate enough to have good employee-option tech stocks as well or I might be very poor today. If I had to do it again, in today's world, I might have eschewed college and went for a skilled trade.
