Darth Vader Re-Edited into Classic Movies 'Nooo!'

I think he would simply tell you that the latest remix/remaster is simply a fine-tuned version of the Star Wars story that he wants to tell. When Phantom Menace rolled out and fans shat themselves when they saw Jar Jar, he dismissed the criticism by explaining that the movies are for kids. Oh well.
Lucasfilm was started because a guy didn't want to have to listen to someone tell him how to tell his own story. There is something to respect in that don't you think?

I would pay serious money, like $5k to sit down to Lucas and just have an honest conversation with him about what he's done with this franchise. Not a crazy yelling at him conversation, but just a frank dialogue to try to understand what he really thinks...

Exactly, I'd like to just challenge him (albeit politely) and just see if he could just understand why the criticism exists...

The community leadership where she lives must be total assholes for this to happen. Hopefully she'll get out of that town and at least retain a civil rights war story to tell of. What a display of organized ignorance.

I've got no problem with the fact that this happened, it might have been legitimate self defense and we don't have all the facts yet. But I am getting pretty sick of these brainless twits acting like something really cool happened. My bet would be that they've never seen a lot of blood themselves, let alone inflicted the damage. There are smells, sights and sounds that they don't include in the movies for some reason. Living with it later isn't all that easy sometimes either.

Nothing good or cool happened here. Justified self defense maybe, but that kid is probably going to have nightmares over this, he'll be seeing it for years. Trained soldiers and cops don't tend to come home and tell war stories for a reason and this kid wasn't trained.

After 8 months deployment anything turns this soldier on

^Haha! - That was clever, mlx!

And Dag - I sure as hell hope not.
War story time!
I can attest to the sharpening of the senses when it comes to detecting a female. The base that I was on was a F.O.B. - Forward operating base. That means it was purely for combat troops, i.e. all guys. Then, 6 months into the deployment, the Army rolled in and brought with them, among other things, females. I could smell them (literally) 20 feet away and around the corner. In the chow hall, which means I'm surrounded by all sorts of smells.
On a somewhat related note: When someone laughed or talked and it sounded even REMOTELY feminine, everyone's head (mine included) would snap around to look.

So yeah, it gets pathetic, but no where NEAR as bad as this video. That was just wrong. Funny, but wrong.

Quite a war story in that waiting room.

I question why anyone should turn this into a sheer numbers game (on any side of the debate). That strikes me as lacking in broader perspective. It's about national security, international diplomacy and the fate of nations. Many of us who feel that the reasons for entering the war were misrepresented also feel that national security is indeed a very grave concern and that poorly played hands of this magnitude will have serious consequences for many decades to come.

Not all of us think in terms of black and white. And not all of us are ignorant of our history or current events, unlike the characters in your anecdote.
