Nostradamus got famous in his time for marketing a teeth whitening formula he invented. Celebrity women of those times had such low necklines, they'd show nipple if they didn't have a typical breast size. The roman culture was all about vanity, even in politics. Egyptian queens wore little more than cheese cloth and jewelery for ceremonies.

These are all cultures where it's undeniable that women were possessions, and were beaten regularly. Often because their husbands or masters couldn't beat the men that made them angry.

I like how McCain has maybe 50-70 people at his speech, every single one of which is white (despite it being in New Orleans), while Obama, speaking at the future site of the RNC convention gets thousands.

Why are the Republican rallying cries always framed in negative terms? Romney tried "but they haven't", and now McCain is going with "That's not change we can believe in", which is funny because it's repeating Obama's slogan verbatim, and just putting "not" in front of it. How creative.

You'd think McCain could have at least gotten his teeth whitened to the point where they didn't look yellow.

He's gonna get completely slaughtered in November, because he continues to prove how much of a double-talking geriatric he is. It doesn't help that he's espousing all the failed policies of the Republican party since Nixon, too.
