The Pinkman Goo Strain - Strain Stories
I was introduce to that horrible song (by Donna Summers 1978ish) when i was a kid. I thought those lyrics were the dumbest i had ever heard and the song always just made me mad because of them. Till this day i can't listen to it.
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh no!
Is Butter Really Back? What the Science Says
Wow. Those are astonishingly good numbers and, considering what you eat, are conclusive enough that these foods can be eaten in a heart healthy diet with great results even without excessive exercise.
I'm curious what the numbers are in our Vegan friend's blood, I seriously doubt they would be better than yours.
It's not surprising, but is disappointing to me that he discounted your numbers as inconclusive and/or unique natural anomalies, since they don't support his 'animal products are deadly poison for all people' claims.
I would theorize that the stress caused by worrying incessantly over what you (and others) eat is far more dangerous than the health effects of all but the worst, most highly processed foods....maybe worse than any foods.
Edit: BTW, I'm 48...going on 13, and I had my blood tested last summer....I didn't memorize my numbers, but the doctor said they were all well within the safe/healthy range so I didn't feel a need to keep track. I don't eat eggs, but I make up for it with extra bacon and butter, and meat at nearly every meal (but I only eat one meal a day).
They were arguing over which foods were healthy and unhealthy around the time I was born. I suspect such arguments will continue after I am dead.
I eat butter. I eat eggs. I eat bacon. I don't even exercise that much.
I'm 45, almost 46.
My HDL as tested a month ago was 46. My LDL was 29. My Triglycerides were 121.
The History Behind Italy’s Ancient City of Glass
So cool. We were just there 2 summers ago. What a beautiful place.
Prosecutors Say Donald Trump Committed a Crime
Oops....guess he forgot about Trump tower Moscow, which was in the works until mid summer 2016....or that every person working for his campaign was hand picked by the Kremlin while they dangled that project in front of Trump.
What a maroon.

What can happen to you when you live near train tracks
Psssh, you think that's close?
I saw this when I was out riding in Hastings MN last summer, it's practically running through the front yard.

How these penny-pinchers retired in their 30s
Arcata, being our college town, is the most expensive town here. I would consider other nearby towns if being cheap is important. Try Blue Lake, where I am (I'm outside town), it's more rural but under 10 miles from Arcata.
We moved here 25 years ago....back then, a 1000 square ft house with an acre cost us $800a month. I've owned my home since then, so I'm out of the rent loop, but poking on craigslist looks like around $1500-$2000 for a decent house, with some more, some less depending on what you get. Nice 2-3 bedroom homes seem to be about $500000 now with some property.
Our gas is the most expensive in the country consistently, over $4.
Beyond that, it's pretty cheap. Property tax is 1%, food is reasonable, entertainment is mostly nature and community, fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, surfing, diving, even back country skiing 1/2 hour up hill, so free, although there are paid events too, we even had GWAR play a few times in Eureka, but no opera or ballet.
My wife and I live on $30k....we have 4 cars, pets, vacations, a large pond, hot tub, etc. Because I have room, I grow a lot of our produce and we have around 40 fruit trees. We aren't putting any extra in the bank, but aren't depleting our savings either.
We are the marijuana capital of America, if you know the right people, it's maybe $100 an oz for A grade, $10-20 a gram for wax/oil.
All in all, it depends on your lifestyle. It would be easy to spend all you save living here on gas, or easy to not have a car at all if you're in town and will ride a bike in the rain. While there are certainly cheaper places to live, I'm not sure there's better. Our forests are gorgeous with skyscraper redwoods, the ocean is cold but clean here, the rivers unspoilt and full of fish, our air is some of the cleanest in the lower 48, water is too, and our summer daytime temperature is mostly 70-75 F, winter is low 50's- freezing, but we have very few freezing days.
Mckinleyville, just above Arcata, was (still is?) the largest town in California with no police, only highway patrol. They got a multiplex before police!
We have a ton of immigration from the bay area, but more often than not they move back because they miss the fast pace and abundant services and entertainment....I didn't.
Hope that helps. We love it here, but we're slow paced and super cheap bastards. If you are too, come check it out.
Newt,
You've mentioned living in Humbolt County -- how is the cost of living there? Arcata is on my retirement short-list.
Spinning Swing Challenge
The yt info is:
Or, in English:
Tried to watch it closely, but couldn't figure out how they had it rigged to release the 2nd person once the 1st drops off. Impressive!
Russia probe and FISA abuse is an DNC / FBI Setup
*debunked
So full of misrepresentation and outright lies.
Apparently anyone who doesn't wear a MAGA hat daily is now to be barred from doing their job in the justice department and should be tried for treason if the try, and absolutely cannot be telling the truth.
What nonsensical drivel.
...and now they're trying to rewrite history again and claim Republicans didn't draft the Steele dossier. *facepalm
What they ignore is the investigation was well under way before summer 2016, so any info given them in late 2016 couldn't possibly be the impetus.
What they also ignore (and hope you will too) are all the guilty pleas....argue all you want that you don't trust the evidence or investigation, but remember that most involved have ADMITTED their guilt in these matters and agreed to supply evidence about other people's guilt, one other person in particular.
Rick and Morty - The Anime
I dunno, I'll check out the Summer vs Tentacle monster episode.
Oh yeah, as a series, I have no interest in watching this.
As a 90 sec parody though? Upvotes for days!
Historically Bizarre US Open 2018 Highlights
It would be unjustified if it's not true, but what I read was a man said the same things and worse to him earlier this summer in a more confrontational way with no penalty.
I was supporting her up to the point where she started saying that other MEN were doing worse things and didn't get called, but she did because she's a woman. That was unjustified.
Also this rule of "no coaching" seems rather silly.
Track rebuild: Toronto Transit Commission finishes work fast
They must have used a different company than the ones who redid the track out on the Queensway. It was supposed to take the summer to complete it, but ended up taking almost the whole year. Granted, they didn't start digging and replacing the track until about August/September for a project that start in May.
Looks like the TTC is "finally" getting their shit together. This would have take a couple of years to complete back in the 90s.
Runaway Scooter
In late summer, the scooter rut begins.
This can be a trying time for owners, as the immature males tend to charge uncontrollably at the fertile females in an attempt to gain enough speed to mount them. If the male doesn't come in hot enough, the female will reject them, as we see here.
Next, as our traffic safari continues, we'll take a late night excursion in hopes of catching a glimpse of the rare wild sideshow mating dances.
Skyler the surfing dog
*promote some *quality K9 surfing. I think he was at the dog surf competition I saw in Baja last summer, possibly the winner. Keep hanging 8, buddy.
In Japan, Shaved Ice Goes Gourmet
I've had it in Hawaii....done right it's much softer than an ordinary summer fair snow cone. Incredibly better than pre packaged snow cones.
The flavors depend on the syrup they pour over it, so vary by location. I think the big difference here is texture.
I would like to try this as my brain can't seem to wrap my head around this being some kind of delicious treat. Are they playing it up or is shaved ice actually amazing? All i have to go on is snow cones as a child which were not particularly yummy.
