Stuff They Don't Want You to Know - DMT

shagen454 says...

For a while it was thought that Strassman's claim that DMT production in the brain comes from the pineal gland was false. Even Strassman tried to redact this as it was not scientifically proven.

3 or 4 months ago scientists discovered that rats pineal gland's DO produce DMT.

DMT containing plants are all around the globe and have been throughout time. Do you really think it was just tribesmen in the Amazon using it all of this time? I think not.

Like McKenna said, "DMT is not a secret it is THE secret."

I think it is very important that people know, partake and let the boundary dissolve. It is so important that I want to tell my parents, "before you die, you NEEEEEEED to do this!!" But, I can't because of the benign restrictions of this society. Life is about experiences, and this is an experience quite extraordinary, why not take 5-10 minutes and see what is there?

You are right. I only know of one person that continues to study DMT and that is Rick Strassman, unfortunately. DMT really needs to be studied, it is like an antenna into other dimensions. I would never be able to describe the 4d, holographic, complex, ornate, alien worlds I have flown through with my eyes closed. Those are just some words that do not come close to a description.

To me what matters is that our society reevaluates its stance on drugs and medicine. So many illegal drugs are harmless and non addictive. They used to say that MDMA would put holes in your brain and that LSD would make one jump out of a window. Its all bullshit. Right now I can no longer get DMT because the DEA decided to bust distribution of mimosa hostilis. What right do they have?

Now these assholes just need to study DMT to unlock the mysteries of our minds and the universe

I think academia, which is often ruled by the ego and is based on a competitive system, is ill able to really delve into psychedelics, which pretty much requires at least the start of ego death and the base awareness that the ego is the primary limiting factor in conscious development.

Manifesting the Mind: Sneak Preview

Trancecoach says...

This film is the first in a series of three films discussing various aspects of shamanism. This first film, Manifesting the Mind, is a broad look at psychedelics in general. Why are psychedelics so brutally suppressed in our culture? What exactly are some of the psychedelic plants and chemicals and how can they benefit us? With philosophy and insight from Denis McKenna, Daniel Pinchbeck, Alex Grey, and many others, this film is not to be missed by anyone interested in psychedelics and shamanism.

Interviews include - Robert Bussinger, Mike Crowley, Timothy Freke, Peter Gandy, Alex Grey, Clark Heinrich, Nick Herbert, John Major Jenkins, Dennis McKenna, Terence McKenna, Daniel Pinchbeck, Dr. Rick Strassman, and others.

A Broad Look at Psychedelics: Manifesting the Mind Trailer

Irishman says...

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. The list of contributors at the end of the trailer is enough to make your hair stand on end. Rick Strassman's DMT book was truly astonishing. Nick Herbert is a genius. Terence and Dennis need no introduction and Alex Grey's stuff also speaks for itself. I have yet to read any of Daniel Pinchbeck's books but I enjoy his musings over on Reality Sandwich.

It's heartening to see such high quality productions like this starting to appear. Their message is made all the more potent by the sad and sorry state the human race finds itself in these days.
